Yahoo Mail app for Android won't delete email properly?

I have the Yahoo Mail app on my Samsung Galaxy Light. Everything works smoothly on the phone and loads just fine. But when I delete an email from the app, it won't delete it from mail.yahoo.com on my computer. I might go for days at a time without looking at email on my computer, so they tend to pile up. Is there a setting that I need to change so that deleting the email on the app will delete it from my account overall? Thanks!

Yahoo mail app on android deleting email from phone, but not server?!?

Hi there! This could be happening for a couple reasons, Helen.

If you've set up your Yahoo Mail account on your Android with POP access, then that's normal behavior since POP doesn't synchronize your account between applications or devices. For more on this topic, please have a look at the Yahoo! Help article "Differences between POP and IMAP", available at:

http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=cont...

If you're using IMAP to access your account on your Android device, then this could be caused by an issue with your server settings. I recommend reading the following Yahoo! Mail Help article "Troubleshooting IMAP issues" for the best help resolving this problem. You can find the link to it below.

I also recommend reading the following Yahoo! Mail Help article "Setting up Yahoo! Mail in Android Mail" for the steps you can take to set up Yahoo! Mail on your Android with synchronization enabled by default. You can find the link to it below.

Painfully slow Yahoo! mail application on Android. Everything about the application is extremely slow.?

The yahoo mobile email apps don't work well on any phone. Just add your yahoo email to your mail app that is the default on your phone and it will work fine.

Yahoo mail app is relatively new for both androids and apples and they haven't figured out how to make it work well yet.

I have my yahoo mail on my default email app for mine and it works fine.
