Maintenance For School Idol Festival Far Too Long

Hanukkah the Festival of Light?

Actually, it started the other night
it's a pretty simple holiday
all you do is say a few prayers and then light the candles

here are the prayers

Barukh atah Adonai, Eloheinu, melekh ha'olam
Blessed are you, Lord, our God, sovereign of the universe
Hebrew
asher kidishanu b'mitz'votav v'tzivanu
Who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us
Hebrew
l'had'lik neir shel Chanukah. (Amein)
to light the lights of Chanukkah. (Amen)

Barukh atah Adonai, Eloheinu, melekh ha'olam
Blessed are you, Lord, our God, sovereign of the universe
Hebrew
she'asah nisim la'avoteinu bayamim haheim baziman hazeh. (Amein)
Who performed miracles for our ancestors in those days at this time

Shehecheyanu (first night only)

Barukh atah Adonai, Eloheinu, melekh ha'olam
Blessed are you, Lord, our God, sovereign of the universe
Hebrew
shehecheyanu v'kiyimanu v'higi'anu laz'man hazeh. (Amein)
who has kept us alive, sustained us, and enabled us to reach this season (Amen)

after you recite the prayers, you light the middle candle. this is called the shamus, and you use that to light the other candles. On the first night, you light the one on the far right, then the next night the two on the far right, and so on until on the 8th night all the candles on the menorah are lit

there are some other traditions associoated with Channukkah, often parties, a family meal, playing the dreidle, giving gifts and eating fried foods (usually potato pancakes called latkes, or a type of jelly donut)

Anime: Why is Love Live: School Idol Project so popular?

If you only look at the anime, you won't be able understand why LL is so popular. You have to notice that LL is a multimedia project, and the TV anime is only a small part of the project. Here are some reasons why LL is so popular.1. Trend for idol animeI think the first successful pure idol anime should be The Idolmaster. The anime was on air in 2011, three years before LL, but I believe its success largely depends on the original video game franchise, which was first released in 2005. Before the anime in 2011, there was another idol master anime named Idolmaster: Xenoglossia by Sunrise. This one was more of mecha, and almost had nothing to do with original story of Idol Master. In Oct 2012, which was three months before the first season of LL was on air, another idol anime went on air and is still ongoing today. The name of the anime is Aikatsu!. The anime and the arcade game is super popular among primary school girls in Japan. It's also an anime by Sunrise. So I dare say that Sunrise has been preparing for projects on pure idol anime for quite a long time and waiting for a good timing. LL and Aikatsu are its attempts for two different markets.2. Fan base from other mediaAs I mentioned, LL was a collaborative multimedia project by Dengeki G's Magazine, Lantis (company), and Sunrise. It had stories publised on G's Magazine and asked readers to get involved in various aspects of the project. The first single of LL was released as early as in 2010, and over 10 CDs had been released before the anime was on air.Though far less popular compared to now, it did has a good fan base.3. Business modelThe record breaking sales for the first volume of 2nd season DVD/Blu-ray was achieve with low price and a lottery ticket for tickets of live concert. The producer(s) of this project well understand the best ways to make money from fans. There are lots of other reasons that have made LL successful, but I think only the fact that it is successful makes all those reasons meaningful.

Is Love Live: School Idol Festival anime suitable for children under 12?

A2A, and it has been a while since I watched it. But as far as I remember: Yes. At least in the sense that it does not contain worrysome levels of violence, jumpscares, cruelty, twisted humor or erotic fanservice. In fact, it's even remarkably tame in most of those regards. But of course that means that it can also be pretty boring for younger audiences, because nothing much happens. Granted, there is some drama here and there, but probably nothing that would register as very "exciting" for a young audience. As such: Can you show it to 10-year olds without a bad conscience? Most likely. If you ask me, then even the cutesy Is the order a rabbit has a significantly higher amount of questionable content than this.As for "should" you? Probably not. Because the enjoyment probability is bound to be pretty low.

Why do people want to enter the Kpop industry so much?

I mean, yeah Kpop seems glamorous and all (who doesn't want the adoration of millions?), but why? You hear, know and read about so many people who want to audition and become the next big thing in Korea pop culture. What I don't understand is why they have so much fervor for it, especially non-Koreans.

Now, don't get me wrong, a little diversity would be nice. But wouldn't it be easier for Americans who actually have a legitamate chance of joining the music industry (not starry eyed dreamers) to join the American music industry? There are plenty of people who can sing and dance extremely well in Korea, too. Not to mention they also speak fluent Korean, and can therefore sing in clear Korean and write songs in clear Korean; including concepts like symbolism and idioms. The American music industry offers ten-fold the fame and would also give singers more opportunities to get in.

And don't say it's because they love the "Korean culture" because Kpop is only a bit of what is known as actual Korean culture. Korean dramas show the real Korea as accurately as American TV shows depict real-life USA. If the Kpop lover really appreciated the culture, a visit or a tour would sate that thirst.

Now, what I'd like to know is why so many want to audition for such large companies. Do they not realize the odds and the competition? Yes, who am I to crush dreams and hold them back? But reality check people. Please. You're going to spend a few hundred (maybe a few thousand) to get over to the city where auditions are held, stress for months ahead, go up there and perform, and most likely be cut off, unless it turns out you're the next Whitney Houston (before the smoking and stuff). And even then, it may turn out a sweet little Korean kid behind you may not sing as well, but catches the judges' eyes simply because of the fact that he/she would be more of a hit in a country full of Koreans.

What does it feel like to be a Love Live otaku?

First off, the correct term would be “What does it feel like to be in ‘idol hell'”The answer depends really on how deep you are into the fandom…If you've just started and you think this is pretty interesting, you'll probably come back and listen to some songs. After a while, getting more into it, you'll start watching the seiyuu (voice actors), and wanting to go to their lives. You also play the game.At a even deeper level, you'll start burying yourself in mountains of merchandise ranging from nesoberi, keychain, CD, DVD, posters, books, light stick, t-shirts, anything and everything basically…You would think that's the extreme, but no. You'll soon realize that you now have the ability to name every single one of their songs just by listening to the first beat, sing to it (maybe even dance, who knows XD), and talk about it non-stop. Everything will remind you of idol hell. There's no way out at this point, so if you aren't ready to make the commitment, well, back out early, cuz once you're in idol hell, there's no getting out.

What is the meaning behind BTS’ new song ‘Idol’?

The meaning behind BTS’ new song “IDOL”Well, let me tell you something, as long as I’ve know BTS I know something about them, and that is THEY NEVER GIVE UP. So, in the song you see all these flashy scenes and BTS dancing near big figures of themselves and many faces of them and etc.Well, they are trying to show you how it feels to be an idol. The scene where people are with masks, and tae looks kind of uncomfortable walking pass. That could mean the part at the airports. Like that time tae got annoy and put his phone’s camera on the girls face (didn’t want to do it intentionally or do it literally) or that part where you see the sharks outside that little space (stage) BTS in dancing on, could mean their haters and how theyll never touch them. The part where jhope comes up wearing yellow, meaning his a happy boy. I’m telling you, in this music video there’s many parts where you would understand and many where you wouldn’t. Personally I’m one of the persons who gets lost easily. One thing I do know is that the Korean culture that is put in this music video has a huge influence on what they are trying to tell us. Like their concept photos the cameras and hands could mean paparazzis getting up close to them and being too much of a nuisance. Also, where they are in a little bubble (meaning they like to have their own space and feel free).Mostly what I think and am pretty sure about, is that what they are trying to tell you is that you should love yourself, be aware of your surroundings but not to pay attention to those who try to bring you down. Keep working hard nothing is impossible. Look at them, hard working boys and really famous (they deserve it they really did worked hard).
