What everyone misses is that Spotify isn't deciding to pay fractional pennies for each play. The math is simple. Spotify collects X dollars per month. After taking its % cut, it pays the rest out to content owners ratably based on songs listened to that month. How much the artists get of that distribution depends on their deals with their labels, it isn't set by Spotify. If Spotify had more subscribers, there would be more dollars to divvy up although there also would be more listens, so both sides of the equation would change. If Spotify could grow from ten million to 100 million subs, the revenue could replace much of what was lost to piracy in the past decade. If enough artists pull their music, Spotify will suffer as subscribers drop out and new ones don't sign up. However, it's a mistake to think that people will migrate back to buying downloads or CDs. They will find their music from sources that don't pay as well: youtube, piracy, copying from friends, etc. I see the Swift move as the beginning of an effort for Taylor's label to get equity in Spotify. The revenue she might lose to Spotify, which is difficult to calculate, is less than she can make in a week or even a day on tour. So this is about something else. For artists of her stature, Spotify is a drop in the bucket, and it's a large bucket. What she will lose is more people hearing her music as she loses the ten -14 million Spotify subscribers, few of which will now buy her cd. Since she can sell out most arenas regardless, she won't feel the impact. But other artists will definitely be adversely affected.

Hi there, I have performed in the culture room, and can tell you it's a safe environment. Age requirements depend on the specific show playing. They have some rules: General Rules ITEMS NOT ALLOWED: NO weapons NO pocket knives NO pepper spray NO flasks NO cans/bottles NO markers NO outisde food or drinks NO spiked jewlery or chains NO backpacks or large bags NO cameras or recording devices I guess you need to call and see if there are age restrictions for the concert you are wanting to attend. But three of you together is safer than you going by yourself. Have fun!

Kate Bush hasn't given an interview in years. She keeps to herself and if she did do an interview anytime soon, I doubt she'd want to talk about Lady Gaga. It also bugs me that Lady Gaga wants to "learn teens about Bush."
