Math 10 Trigonometry Questions. Help

Easy math trigonometry question?

since u is in between 3pi/2 and 2pi, it represents IV quadrant

where sin is negative and cos is positive.

cotu = -4

cosu /sinu = -4

adj.side/opp.side = 4/1

adj.side = 4 and opposite side = 1

hypotenuse = sqrt(4^2 + 1^2) = sqrt(17)

sinu = opp.side/hyp = -1/√17

cosu = adj.side/hyp = 4/√17

sin(2u) = 2sinu cosu

=>2(-1/√17)(4/√17) = -8/17

Trigonometry question (Grade 10 math help!)?

Distance d to the Whole 350 m away after slicing 21 deg With a 210 m shot:
d^2= (210*sin21)^2+(350- 210*cos21)^2
d^2= 75.26^2 + (350-196.05)^2
d^2=5664.07 + 232424.30=29088.37
d= 170.55 m.

This is the calculation. To make the diagram: Draw a line you give the length 350m from the tee to the hole. Then Draw the Slice shot With 210m Lenth at ca 21 deg. Then Draw a line at 90 deg from the ball to the 350m stright line. Then you got the triangle neares the Whole With sides: 210*sin 21
and 350- 210*cos21. This is rightangled and we find d by phytagoras sentence..

MATH QUESTION GRADE 10 . TRIGONOMETRY !!!!!!!!!?

While a student was playing with their calculator they found that sometimes the answers produced from taking the sine and cosine of different angles were the same answer. The information below is sometimes the answer of when this occurs
sin 55° = 0.819152044 and cos 35° = 0.819152044
sin 30° = 0.5 and cos 60° = 0.5
sin 15° = 0.258819045 and cos 75° = 0.258819045
Why do these calculations produce the same answers

Maths trigonometry question, Please help!?

Find all solutions in the interval 0 ≤ x ≤ 360 or the equation:

Sin x°tan x° = 2

giving your answer to the nearest degree.

Please help giving as much detail as possible about how to solve this problem, Thanks!

Grade 10 Trigonometry question? Please help?

Answer found by drawing picture and thinking.

Dog is 10 m south from bottom of tree while cat is "h" height above the bottom.
Relative to the 65° angle, 10 m is the adjacent side while h is the opposite.
h = 10tan(65°) = 21.44 m

Now we can compute distance of firefighter from bottom of tree
f = 21.44 / tan(50°) = 17.99 m

South and east are at 90° to each other so distance between firefighter and dog is hypotenuse of right triangle with legs 10 m and 17.99 m.
d = sqrt(10^2 + 17.99^2) = 20.59 m

Mathematics>trigonometry question ...can solve?

an aeroplane flying horizontally 1 km above the ground is observed at an angle of elevation 60 degree from a point P on the ground. after 10 seconds of flight the angle of elevation is observed to be 30 degree from point P . find the speed of aeroplane in kilometres.

Please help!! Math 12 Trigonometry question! 10 points to best answer asap~~?

Use the trigonometric identity:
sin(2x) = 2SinxCosx

So,
8SinxCosx = 4Sin(2x)

Sub in to the equation:
4Sin(2x) = -2
Sin(2x) = -1/2
x = (1/2) sin^-1(-1/2)
x = -15

Math B (Trigonometry) Question - find perimeter?

What would the answer be:

A parcel of land is shaped like an isosceles triangle in which the angle included between the congruent sides measures: 53 degrees and 10' (10 minutes). The area of the parcel of land is 1 acre, which is equal to 43,560 square ft. Find the perimeter of the parcel of land to the nearest foot.

Thanks!

What are the some important trigonometry questions for class 10 board exams?

First of all Ex 8.4 in ncert. It covers almost questions. Then solve these.

What type of trigonometry questions are asked by the ICSE?

See, they can ask you anything out of blue. Now what is important is to be clear with the concepts and know well how to apply that knowledge of concept.Refer to previous year questions so that you can get an idea of the type of questions asked. Mostly it is proving an identity and finding the inclination or the height or the distance as far as applications of trigonometry is concerned.Hope it helps.Thanks!!!!!
