Need help at math please just three questions?

1. 12 + 2(x - 5) = 5(x - 3) -- First you must distribute through the parenthesis
12 + 2x - 10 = 5x - 15 -- Now combine like terms
2 + 2x = 5x - 15
2 + 15 = 5x - 2x
17 = 3x
17/3 = x
check...
12 + 2(x - 5) = 5(x - 3)
12 + 2(17/3 - 5) = 5(17/3 - 3)
12 + 2(85/15 - 75/15) = 5(17/3 - 9/3)
12 + 2(2/3) = 5(8/3)
12 + 4/3 = 40/3
36/3 + 4/3 = 40/3
40/3 = 40/3 )correct)
ANSWER : x = 17/3

2. 15 - 4(x - 2) = 7(x + 2)
15 - 4x + 8 = 7x + 14
23 - 4x = 7x + 14
23 - 14 = 7x + 4x
9 = 11x
9/11 = x
check...
15 - 4(x - 2) = 7(x + 2)
15 - 4(9/11 - 2) = 7(9/11 + 2)
15 - 4(18/22 - 44/22) = 7(18/22 + 44/22)
15 - 4(- 26/22) = 7(62/22)
15 + 104/22 = 434/22
330/22 + 104/22 = 434/22
434/22 = 434/22 (correct)
ANSWER : x = 9/11

3. 5 + 2(x + 3) = - 3(x + 2)
5 + 2x + 6 = - 3x - 6
11 + 2x = - 3x - 6
11 + 6 = -3x - 2x
17 = - 5x
- 17/5 = x
check...
5 + 2(-17/5 + 3) = -3(-17/5 + 2)
5 + 2(- 51/15 + 45/15) = -3(- 34/10 + 20/10)
5 + 2(- 6/15) = -3(- 14/10)
5 - 12/15 = 42/10
75/15 - 12/15 = 42/10
63/15 = 42/10
21/5 = 21/5 (correct)
ANSWER : x = - 17/5

4x = 32
x = 8
1st = 8, 2nd = 30, sum = 38

width = w
length = 2w - 8
P = 2(l + w) = 260
l + w = 130
2w - 8 + w = 130
3w - 8 = 130
3w = 138
w = 46
width = 46, length = 84, P = 260
