Mckenzie As A Name For A Boy And A Girl

What do you think of the girls name Mckenzie?

I think McKenzie is a gorgeous name. It is very mature, and elegant. What comes to mind is a little girl who is so sweet, smart, and always considerate of other people. I believe that a person's name tells a story. For example, the name will probably be the first thing anyone knows about your child, what would that name symbolize?

Mackenzie Boy or Girl name?

i think it's a homosexual name

Is McKenzie a boy or girl name?

It can be used for either. These days I think it's more common for girls but I like it better for a boy.

Twin boy name to go with girl name Mackenzie?

Congratulations!

I think Mackenzie Brooke is lovely, as is Mackenzie Rose. I like Taylor as a middle name, too, but as Mackenzie can be a boy's name too, I think it would be nice to have a more feminine middle name. Not that I'm opposed to using names unusual for that Gender. I have a brother called Christy!

Of the boy's first names, I only really like Aiden and Dylan. I also like Ryan, and Michael is one of my favorite names. I would probably say Michael Ryan, Aiden Cole or Dylan Patrick. But Michael Ryan is my favorite, cause it can be shortened to Mikey, which I also really like.

Hope this helps and good luck with your babies!

Is "Mackenzie" a unisex name?

Well, the name prefix 'Mac' means 'son of', so it was traditionally a boy's name. But so were Ashley, Madison and Shelby.
Now it's almost always used for girls, and I prefer it that way.

PS: Was it Canada Here I Come that told you it was a boy name? If so, don't worry. She makes her living offending people, and has a negative opinion about all names but hers.

Is Joe a boy's or girl's name?

Joe, as a name by itself, is overwhelmingly a boy’s name. However, it has shown up as a girl’s name in relatively small numbers as at least between 1880 and 2007, with a run of relative popularity between the late 1920’s and 1950’s, peaking at 265 girls named Joe in 1934. In comparison, the fewest number of boys named Joe in any year was 457 in 2015, and the highest was 8023 in 1936. The name’s popularity as a name for both boys and girls has certainly diminished recently — for boys, there were over 1000 born in 1998, and that’s dropped by more than half this past year, and for girls it hasn’t been given to more than 4 any year since 2007. I suspect there’s a trend to go with the more formal Joseph version, but even the popularity of that name has dropped a lot over the past 15 years or so, with about half as many boys named that.

The names McKenzie, MacKala, MaKali,eww...?

I HATE them!!!!!!!!! AND the way that they are SPELT!!

IF you HAVE to use the name...Spell it Mackenzie.
Quit with the capital letter in the middle of a first name!!
Much more suited to surnames!!!!! Glad you raised this point coz I hate them too, yuk!!

Also, I know a few boys with last names McDonald and McKenzie, etc, who get called "Macca" which is a great nickname for a boy...but totally not for a girl!!!!!!

What do you think of the names Ivy, Jackson and Mackenzie for potential triplets?

I'm of the opinion that baby names be given a lot of thought, and that you really need to meet your babies before any name-giving decisions are made. I followed a lot of old Celtic and Pict naming customs when I named my children, and don't regret a single letter in the names my children carry.I like Ivy, love Jackson and I'm lukewarm about McKenzie, but that's just me. Do your research and meet your babies first, then decide.
