Mfs Growing Up Did You Like Wwf/wwe

Is WWE now worse than WWF in the 1980s?

No, it is much better as it pertains to wrestling. The athletic ability and over the top moves are way beyond what they were doing in the 80’s. The story lines are similar to the 80′s, but nothing compares to the 90′s for storylines. We the fans have been saying for many years that the WWE has run out of ideas for storylines. There has to be more than just revenge reasons for a match. In the 90′s they would do bits outside the arena even going to some wrestler's house. We did get the Hardy compound bit recently, but can you name one prior to that where they went elsewhere? The 90′s had Stone Cold visit McMahon in the hospital. There were love triangles, fights in weird locations and many other things. They tried a few things over the years, but it just doesn't seem to cut it. Also we need more comedy. So if some storylines improve coupled with the athletic abilities of the latest generation of great wrestlers, it could be the the best era ever.

Who was your favorite WWF/E WCW Wrestler growing up?

The Rock, he was so funny, charisma so bright like the 12 Days of Christmas i nearly pissed myself, or the time he asked lillian if she wanted to taste the people strudel, the rikish i did it for the rock lol he was just so funny and to a 5, 6 , or 7 years old kid like i was thats why i watched it, just to laugh at the rock

What was it like growing up around the WWE in the 1980s?

The 1980s were awesome, for many reasons... the WWF (it was not the WWE then) was definitely not one of those reasons!Otherwise intelligent friends and family seemed to actually believe that this "sport" was a true contest of strength, stamina and strategy between opponents rather than the very obvious choreographed dance show that somehow managed to entertain the masses.

Which Wrestler Was Your Favorite Growing Up?

I had many favorite wrestlers as i was growing up i liked Stone Cold Steve Austin definitely a legend who was one of the biggest if not the biggest entertainer WWE's had over the past several years. Everyone loved Stone Cold's gimmick with drinking beer raising hell and creating total chaos like fighting with Vince McMahon The Rock and many of his amazing promos. When i look bad I'm glad i liked him he was a good wrestler before his neck injury he had great mic skills and amazing charisma. Stone Cold will definitely live on in my memory and that's The Bottom Line because Stone Cold said so!

I've had many favorite superstars and i also liked Triple H and i still like him now. He was an amazing competitor years ago before he married Stephanie McMahon he was a great wrestler had great mic skills and great charisma he also had in ring psychology which very few superstars had. Triple H was entertaining on the mic and hilarious at times especially with DX and feuding with The Rock Stone Cold HBK and many others. Triple H will definitely stay as one of my favorites and although people might hate him now he was a great competitor long time ago and I'll continue liking him.

I also liked Undertaker i mean who could not like this guy he's the definition of entertainment and success. Undertaker had great moments and matches against HBK Mankind and so many other amazing memories he left us with. Undertaker and his gimmick was also something new and interesting so it was always fascinating for me to watch him play his gimmick. I also liked his viciousness and enjoyed how he played his role. Undertaker like Triple H still remains as one of my favorite superstars and I'll be sad to see him retire when he does.

BQ: I don't think WWE superstars should change their theme every single year that kind of takes the seriousness away from the theme music of the superstars and the theme songs are supposed to match the superstars gimmicks. Some theme song i enjoy listening to like Randy Orton's Voices and Edge's Metalingus theme song. Some superstars's theme songs have been dragged on too long but it shouldn't be every year in my opinion it would be kind of silly for theme songs to change every single year although i guess it would be fresh and new to listen to. If it's every year some gimmicks might have to change every year. Theme songs shouldn't go on too long but it shouldn't be that short so that we see new theme songs every year.

Do you think Wrestling on the tv ie WWE isnt has good as WWF was in the 90's!?

in my opinion no it was better back in the day, but that's because that's what I grew up on... in to days generation they are growing up with what they have now so it is still equally as good as before. If it wasn't the industry wouldn't continue to clime. And I don't know how you think it seemed more real. most of the 90's were based on gimmicks, doink the clown, dude love, kane, undertaker, so on and so forth. In to days wrestling people are more concerned about the actual name, and who they are rather than the gimmick they are. It's more about a actual even now a days, more drama and such. That's why Hunter Hurst Helmsly is no longer a pompous CT snob, but rather Triple H the way you see him toady. It's all good, but it's a new generation, and it's more of weather you like the generation or not that's important, but wrestling is def just as, or more successful than it was in the 90's, the ticket sales prove it.

What year did the WWF become the WWE?

i think of in 1963,it grew to become into WWWF (international huge wrestling federation) They dropped the "huge" and in 1980 grew to grow to be international Wrestling Federation,in 2000 the international huge Fund For Nature (additionally WWF) sued the international Wrestling Federation for using the WWF initials, international Wrestling Federation lost, and in would 2002 it grew to grow to be WWE

What are you memories of WWF (NOT WWE, WWF)?

Now back to you honey. The Rock sees you looking at him with those bedroom eyes. Chyna, that warm, fuzzy feeling you got in your stomach, don't worry about it honey, it'll go away, it's natural. The Rock wants you to realize something... He knows that you're a frustrated woman. The Rock also knows that you're a very tense woman each and every time you get around the Rock. Hell, he doesn't blame you for one single solitary second. So the Rock's come to one conclusion Chyna, and that conclusion is this: Chyna, you just need to get some. And Chyna, honey, if you're lucky, about 1:30, 2:00 in the morning later on tonight, the Rock is just the man to give it to ya if you smell what the Rock is cook - *Chyna decides she's heard enough and lunges for the Rock but is restrained by the Nation.* I'll tell you what Chyna.. Put her down on her knees where she belongs! I'll tell you what, you look pretty damn good on your knees Chyna. It almost looks like a natural position. Chyna, it's been a long time coming. The Rock wants you to go ahead and look at him. Look at him with those hungry eyes that you have for the Rock. Chyna, *He grabs her by her chin and tilts her face up to look at him* this has been coming for a long time and the Rock is just the man to give it to ya, so what he wants you to do is pucker up baby, shut your eyes, and enjoy the magic of the Rock. *He leans in towards Chyna then hesitates* Then again, there ain't no way, and Chyna, the Rock means no way he would ever kiss a piece of trash like you! However, Mark Henry, know your role, pucker your damn lips, and give that piece of trash the thrill of her life! *Mark Henry wags his tongue and Chyna tries desperately to escape from the rest of the Nation's grasp. He gets on his knees to kiss Chyna... then Shawn Michaels runs in the ring with a steel chair and all of the Nation except Mark Henry scatters. Shawn Michaels hits Mark Henry with the chair and saves Chyna. Shawn Michaels then hands the chair to Chyna, gets out of the ring and dances on top of the announce table

BEST moment for me in WWF

Why is WWE rapidly losing its viewers in 2018?

Vince McMahon.Full stop.Vince is a control freak who cannot keep himself from tweaking and micromanaging his on-air product. It’s hard to write storylines that take place over months when your boss will come in hours before the show is set to take place and decide that he wants to do something different because he heard a thing on the radio, stubbed his toe, or felt that the stars weren’t in alignment. As a result WWE writers can’t really plan things too terribly far in advance. And even if they know what the fans want, most of the time they can’t really write that content. Because Vince overrides it.Vince is stubborn and doesn’t seem to realize that other people have different sets of knowledge, likes, or dislikes than himself. He’s come up to some of his writers on planes and was baffled why they were watching movies on a portable DVD player instead of WWE wrestling. He didn’t understand why “Pirate” Paul Burchill was a good guy, despite Pirates of the Caribbean being a big thing at the time, because Vince hadn’t gone to see the movies, and because of that was quite adamant that no one went and saw the movies. As a result most WWE writers are writing for an audience of one: Vince McMahon himself. With there being so many entertainment options for people to consume, TV viewership overall is down somewhat, and the viewership losses WWE is taking also comes in part from this. The problem is that while the WWE is creatively bleh, financially they are doing quite well. So there’s no real drive to improve the quality of their writing. And they don’t really need to. WWE itself has a fix for that. It’s called NXT. Ostensibly it’s their development product, getting people ready for the main WWE shows. But in practice it’s the superior creative product. As best I know Vince is completely hands off with it, letting his daughter Stephanie and her husband Triple H run it.I find it superior to the WWE in pretty much every way. The storylines are better, the wrestling is better, the wrestlers seem to be used more to their strengths. There’s only a handful of high level NXT guys that have made the jump to full on WWE that I’ve felt were handled better on the main roster than they were in development. When Vince retires, or more likely when Vince dies because I don’t think he’ll ever be happy with retiring, oversight of the main WWE shows is going to go to Triple H and Stephanie, and that’s when I think we’ll see the quality improve.
