My contact list disappeared?

Here is contact Icon in new version of mail

Have you ever just disappeared from your Contacts' contact list?

Yahoo gremlins?

Not sure really, but I have disappeared from my contacts lists and had contacts from my list vanish too. I only realised when I didn't received questions from my contacts.

YA can be pretty odd at times!

My contact list has disappeared, can only contact people by forwarding an existing email. HELP!!!?

I think I would do a clean-up to rid my computer of all of the stuff it collects. Every time you view a website, (and other times), "Cookies" are left in your computer. There are other places where that extra information is stored as well. If one gets rid of it, speed will be better, as well as some functions come back to life.

"Delete Cookies", "Empty Cache", and in History - "Clear"
Shut down computer. Wait 30 seconds. Start. (Not Restart-different !)
Sign in anew.

What do you see when you select "Contacts", to the right of the one inch column of names. It should say "..### Contacts", or "No Contacts".

Below Contacts
Select "View Contacts"
Select "Deleted Contacts"
Select each name (or box before it)
Select "Restore", or "Done", or whatever yellow button says that would mean that the task is completed.

Now all people should be in Contacts as well as Address Book and Categories (if you have any)

Hope this helps.

Good luck

Why has my contact list disappeared?

I have just come back after 4 days away and all my contact lists have disappeared too. I am production assistant for a theatre group and It's very important for me to have the different groups of people ( in all over 100) who receive different messages. If I have to reinstall all my lists it will take me forever. Help, what can I do?

All of my contacts have disappeared. Is there a way to retrieve them?

If you accidentally delete all your contacts, you should be able to restore them by going to the Deleted Contacts folder. Deleted Contacts are generally kept in this folder for about a month so you've got plenty of time!

All my contact details from 1 category has disappeared. The rest in other categories are intact. The 'disappeared' contact details are however still intact in the address book. When i tried to add back these contacts, i was told by the system they are already in the messenger list. But i can't find them! Would appreciate if someone can help!

What if Japan had never surrendered during WWII and continued to fight after the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the Soviet invasion of Manchuria in August of 1945?

::What if Japan never surrendered during WWII?What if Japan still didn't surrender and continued to fight after the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the Soviet invasion of Manuchria?::Further atomic bombing[1], followed by a campaing of mining of the waters surrounding the Home Islands[2], and severing the contact with Korea, Okinawa and Taiwan. Then, Operation Downfall: even more atomic attacks[3] would have followed in coordination with USMC landings as planned. Radioactive beaches wold receive the Marines, while the surviving Japanese soldiers repeat Okinawa in Kyushu and Honshu. Behind them, civilians with sharpened bamboo sticks[4] waiting to throw themselves armed against the invaders.Firestorms consume more and more Japanese cities (would Kyoto survive?): further Japanese resistance would end in massive military casualties to both sides, and even larger civilian casualties that winter, both by combat and famine. But… both Admiral King and Admiral Nimitz opposed the idea of invading Japan: they wanted to isolated Japan and follow with mining and bombing operations, while the Japanese starved into submission. In the following months, unable to import food, to produce enough locally and even to fish in the waters between islands, the society that was Japan would fade away for lack of people, until the last Imperial bastion, the bunker of Matsushiro, contacts the US offering unconditional surrender. In both cases, Japan is occupied after the destruction of the last die-hard strongholds. The country becomes a virtual colony of the United States, while Bull Halsey dictates a republican constitution from the USS Missouri.Meanwhile, the Soviet Union occupies Manchuria, Korea, the Kurile islands and Sakhalin/Karafuto. (I believe the usual ‘Soviet Hokkaido’ scenario is a relic of the Cold War, not a serious one: would the Soviet Pacific Fleet do better than the mighty US Navy? Downfall would be a bloodbath, while the Soviets walk easily into one of the Home islands?).The Japanese population never fully recovers from the Great Dying, and without a Korean War to help recover, it is a ‘Third World’ nation for the next decades.Footnotes[1] A Collection of Primary Sources[2] Operation Starvation[3] U.S. Planned to Drop 12 Atomic Bombs on Japan[4] Operation Downfall
