Mother In Law Who Is All Talk

How fair is it to talk with your mother-in-law and father-in-law for hours before marriage?

There is nothing like fair and unfair for talking to your mother and father in law before marraige. If you can talk with your woule be husband for hours then you too can talk with his parents too.We are comfortable to our family because aince childhood we have shared every damn thing with our family ao why not be comfortable with our in laws too. Moreover they will help us to know them and their aun better than anyone else. Is good to be in a friendly environment rather than being in a strange environmnet. After marraiage one needs to adjust a lot. What if talking in advance will help you to be unhesistant with in laws.

What do you do about an annoying mother in law who talk too much?

try to spend less time with her as possible, dont act like she hurts you, pay her no mind, i know just how you feel. ah and dont try and be mean to her, it will make things worse. so just as long as she doesnt live with you guys, or see her everyday, let her be..what does your husband think?

How do you deal with a nosy mother-in-law?

talk to your BF. tell him what you think. if he truly loves you he will do anything to make HIS family hapy. otherwise i am sorry to say there is NO HELP AT ALL with mother in laws. they are a b***h! let him know where you stand and that if he doenst help make this better fro you, then you and his baby girl may have to be on your way with out him.

Unsanitary mother in law?

I had very similar problem with my mom. My husband would have fits because my mom would always do gross stuff.

My husband never said a word to her or made her feel bad. It is not your place to be yelling at your mother-in-law. How would you feel if your wife went off on your mom or dad?

I just took the "just playing but dropping the hint" kind of approach. If I were your wife, I would say when she goes to do something inappropriate, "Mom, we usually clean that in the basement sink. The rag and cleaner is on the shelf." or "Ma, weren't you the one who always yelled at me,when I was a kid, for taking food in the bathroom, now look at you! I think your grounded! (hahaha)"
Trust me, I know what your going through! The best way to handle it, is trying to avoid attacking and hurt feelings. You don't want to make these fixable issues turn into major family disputes. Good Luck!

My mother in law hit me today?

It sounds like you shouldn't leave her alone with your child. And first of all this is your littl ebaby, and she should get mad at oyu for laying down rules with your child. I think you should stay a good distance from her too. Talk to her. Let things cool down.

My Mother In Law Eavesdropped on me and now wont talk to me..?

wow. I have a mother in law like that. My husband, me, and my two and one year old daughters lived with her and my father in law for two years so that my husband could go back to school and It was hell. I actually tried to divorce him to get away from his mother "sad", but since we were living with them and I was not working or contributing in any way I felt that I should keep my mouth shut and put up with it. I was wrong in thinking that because to this day I still have so much anger toward my in laws and my husband for "keeping my mouth shut". I do not think you are out of line, You should sit down and talk with her and let her nicely know her actions bother you but I have a feeling that might not work because your mother in-law sounds um, impulsive. Speak to your finace about it and ask him how does he think is the best way to approach her . He should be standing up for you though. He is going to be your husband. Mine finaly did after I handed him divorce papers because he defended his mother who tried to convince him to take my daughters from me. You want to set her straight NOW. My mother in law once started crying and ran out of the house because I did'nt want to talk to her while I was pregnant and sick. I'm tellin ya. I have been there and done that. You need to talk to her and I really hope that you and your fiance should proly try to get out on your own as soon as possible if you can. I hope everything works out.
