Moving From Canada To England At 16 Education

Considering moving from Canada to Ireland or Scotland but I have a few questions for anyone who lives there. .?

I don't know much about the scottish education system, except for that is completely free in nearly every way if you are scottish, i.e. you hold a scottish passport. I would say the irish education system is good. The later years can be stressful, but so is the scottish one. The equivalent of the twelfth grade in Ireland is an optional year called transition year or TY(it's basically fourth year but nobody calls it that), where you just do loads of cool stuff, go on loads of trips, do lots of courses, work experience, computer skills etc. I did it last year and it was awesome. If you don't do it, you go straight into fifth year which is the second last year of school. If you do do TY, you go into fifth year the next year so It might be confusing for you if your going into fifth or sixth. Irish Universities are pretty good. There's colleges/or IT's and universities. Well yeah I guess you would be able to but I would say there would be some complications. My american friend moved back to sit her final year of high school so she could do her SATs because she was going to college in America. I know thats not canada but that might mean you might have to do the same. Weather in both countries are pretty bad. It's usually much colder in Scotland. Ireland can usually be wetter because we're right beside the Atlantic. Not being prejudiced, the people here are pretty cool :). Taxes are expensive. Maybe a little more in Ireland. Ireland is an expensive country yeah. However, it does have a high wage which evens it out, but Ireland was hit pretty badly by the recession so its tough. I don't like the weather. Thats my main one. Besides that I like living in Ireland.

Moving to Canada???????????????

You better check the immigration rules/procedures. The only way you will move to Canada without some higher education and/or experience in a field in which Canada wants people, or without a Canadian sponsor, is if you get a student visa after you are accepted by a Canadian university. That's only good while you are a student. Check Citizenship & immigration Canada website. It often takes people a few years to get all their ducks in a row to immigrate to Canada, even if they're qualified at the time they apply.

As large cities go, Toronto doesn't have a lot of crime. It's a pretty safe city. There isn't a whole lot of what I'd call secluded natural environment in southern Ontario, but I've been spoiled out here in BC.

Teen moving to England from America? (UK teens please help)?

Yes :D

What will be the effect on Kid's education after moving back to India from USA?

I had a similar experience. I moved to India the summer before 9th grade after living in the US for 6 years. I lived in India for 2 years. The move itself was exhausting and frustrating. Although I was thirteen years old, the idea of leaving behind my friends in the US angered me. I was like that for the first three months but eventually, with school, new friends and the stress of board exams, I forgot my old worries.Although your child is young, I would suggest just listening to him for the first few months. It's a big move and a huge change. If he's attending a school in India, definetly allow a few months for him to adjust. Don't get too hung up on low grades during that time. My parents (although I was in ninth) just let me be for the first 3 months and that really helped me build up my own confidence. It's going to be hard but keep reminding yourself and your family/children that you'll get through it. Be as optimistic as possible :). There are memories you'll make in India that you won't get to make anywhere else (pani puri at stalls, annual day performances, punishments by teachers, hot pakora during monsoon season, kulfi in the summer, etc.)I hope your experience there is great!P.S.- I forgot to mention that I did the CBSE curriculum and ended up passing 10th with a 9.2 cgpa :)

What is the cutoff age for immigration to Canada?

Article reference [http://cic.gc.com]It is a misconception that the age limit for Canadian Immigration is from 18 to 49, years old. There are instances where a person who is more than 49 may still qualify! To explain how, let me explain once again the Six Selection Factors of Canadian Immigration application for Skilled Workers and Professionals Category. The passmark to allow you to apply for this program is still 67pts.Where you will get your points from will be based on your credentials.Six Selection Criteria's1. Points - Education 15 - Vocational 2 years20 - College22 - Double Degree25 - Materal/Doctorate2. Ability in16 - English or18 - French3. Points - Work Experience15 - (1 year)17 - (2 years) 19 - (3 years) 21 - (4 years)4. Points - Age0 - 16 or under2 - 174 - 186 - 19 8 - 20 10 - 21 to 49 8 - 50 6 - 514 - 522 - 530 - 545. AdaptabilitySpouses Education3 - Vocational 2 years4 - College5 - Masteral5 - Doctorate5 - one year work experiencein Canada5 - one year study in Canada5 - First degree Relativein Canada6. Arranged Employment5 - Certified Job Offer5 - Provincial NominationProgram CertificateIn a nutshell, a person with a college Education, 4 years work experience in an occupation that is part of the National Classification Occupation qualified list will have 67 points. So for those people who are already 50 but still has a spouse that also has a post secondary education or relatives in Canada or a Job offer, they will still have a chance to qualify. Forget about the preconceived notion about the age limit in Canadian Immigration.Although if you are already with in the age bracket, I suggest that you should file right away. The condition of qualifying for the program is always dependent on the existing selection criteria. If it changes, then there goes your only chance to still apply for Canada despite of the favorably age limit for Canadian Immigration.

I have a comfortable job in India, should I move to Canada?

If you have a comfortable life in India then there is no need of migrating to CANADA.Problems you will face:7 - 8 months of winter with 3 months it is freezing and only 2 - 4 months mild summer with maximum temperature 30 degrees. Temperature varies between -40 degrees to 30 degrees. It is a cold country. People say you have to dress up in layers but I would say cold is cold, till the time you are inside you are OK but when you are outside people want to get in.You have to leave your parents and extended family members. Your parents will never be able to adjust there. You will be missing majority of family gatherings that you enjoy in India. Travelling is very costly, time consuming and leaves are also limited for working professionals.Rents are higher, most of your savings will go into your setup and incase you buy a house which everyone does after couple of years you are blocked for 20 years. This is a trap of most developed countries.Look for the job market and payment in your field because minimum wage rate in Canada is very less. I have couple of friends doing 2–3 jobs to paying for their mortgage. They are working 15–16 hours for 6 days a week just to pay the loan.Chances of Divorce are very high in Canada. As per reports 40% of immigrants get divorced in spending 10 years in CANADA. This lead to financial crash for most people. Society of most developed countries are individualistic and people bear their own expenses, in case one partner had a long term finance problem or disease they just quit the relationship. It’s not like India where even one person is earning and the whole family can enjoy on that.Due to extreme cold and lack of sunlight people start developing new diseases such as depression (SAD), deficiency of various vitamins which lead to other problems.Medical system in Canada is good till the time you have a basic problem like cold, cough, fever, basic infection which a normal MBBS can handle. However, when you need a specialist they will charge you 300 - 400$ per visit and waiting time could be 2 months to 8 months depending on doctor’s experience and demand. That’s why people go back to India for medical treatments. My friends mother developed Cancer as she was unable to adjust in the climate and then they came back for getting the treatment in INDIA.Unfortunately, life is not as flashy as it seems in pictures or university booklets. If you have a peaceful life in India do not even think of moving to CANADA.
