18 month old vomiting only after breastfeeding?
it may be because she has a virus, or she might be catching a cold this is what you can do: -put a basin next to your child and tie hair back -after your child vomits, help your child to brush his or her teeth. this helps get the bad taste out of the mouth -do not give your child anything to eat or drink for 2 hours after vomiting for a child 1 year or older: -after 2 hours of not throwing up, give small amounts of clear drinks. these drinks include pedialyte, infalyte, ricelyte, or a store brand of these. give 1 tablespoon every 3-5 minutes. for older children, give 7 up that has no bubles (let it sit open for 2 hours), jell-o, gatorade, and popsicles. if your child does not throw up, double the amount given every hour -if your child does not throw up after 4 hours, you can give him/her more to drink -start soft foods after 8 hours of no vomiting. soft foods include dry toast, rice, bananas, applesauce, and mashed potatoes. -if child does not throw up for a day after eating soft foods, give your child usual foods. stay away from meat, milk, and greasy foods for a few days. call the dr or nurse - baby is 3 months old or less, child does not pee in 6 hrs, child cries with no tears, there is blood in throw up, child has bad stomach pain, child vomits after getting hit on the head or in the stomach, child vomits after an accident, your child looks very sick, child has a bad headache, child cannot keep any liquids in the stomach what else should you know about vomiting? -vomiting may be a part of another sickness, vomiting can cause your child to lose alot of water from the body, signs of dehydration: dry mouth, sunken eyes, little or no pee in 6 hours, pee is dark yellow, crying with no tears, soft spot on top of baby's head is sunken (CALL YOUR DR IF BABY HAS ANY OF THESE SIGNS), don't give your child red liquids or food. if you do, vomit can look like blood. if baby throws up with force, vomit can come out the nose.
My one month old kitten has diarrhea and throws up. What should I do?
Take her to the vet NOW! Kittens dehydrate very quickly - she should still be feeding from her mother anyway as too young to be fully weaned. so is she the only one or have the rest of the litter all got it? If she has been taken from her mother - shame on you, (unless she is a 'foundling') You are probably giving her the wrong food, you can get suitable formula for weaning kittens from the vet but if you haven't taken her already drop everything and go straight away and get weaning advice from an expert
My 13 month daughter has 100.7 F fever. She had fever since morning?
If a baby under 2 years old has a fever for more than 24 hours or if it's over 102.2 F or if s/he is lethargic enough so s/he's hard to wake up or her lips/nails turn blue or isn't eating or filling her diaper you should take her to the ER ASAP. I just read an article about this. It could be an infection, and I'd be especially worried since she's not eating. So if she still has a fever in the morning, I'd take her in pronto. 13 month old with Rotavirus?
thanks for advice. some of you seem to have a pretty good handle on things and have given me very good advice. and then some of you have no idea what you are talking about. also, I have had correspondence with my daughter's pediatrician since 6:00 this morning. we are set up for an appointment in 2 hours. i have called 5 times already today for one reason or another as i am a new parent who hasn't ever experienced this. i didn't want to call again since this issue isn't major. she's only been doing this for 8 hours. f i were that irresponsible of a parent to just look for yahoo answers for serious issues then i need some major help. i just wanted advice on something my family and i were discussing on how to get fluid into her. i don't believe when someone posts about a serious issue it is the best thing to be smart or act like the person needing help is stupid. at least i am trying to find ways to fix things. again thank you to those who have helped. :)

Why would you get a pup when you cannot afford vet bills? Surrender the pup to someone who will take proper care of it. You NEVER give a dog human meds without speaking to your vet first.

I think the meds are working that she needs every hour, every three hrs, and every 12 hrs in a day. She is a 6 month pitbull puppy who wont touch any food what so ever so im wondering if she eats after i take to the vet again tomorrow will she make it?

My 4 month old maltipoo pup is throwing up a foamy clear liquid and not eating, what's up?
My pup has gone about a day without eating anything worth noting, and she's now begun to dry heave and throw up a warm clear foamy solution. She did this maybe twenty minutes ago, drank some water and went back to bed. She's had Nemex-2, Panacur, and shots for Distemper, Adenovirus 2, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. It's been two days since I picked her up from the breeder, and it makes me wonder if nerves/homesickness are a factor. I've read some things online that say that this is normal from time to time for puppies. Does anyone know what could be up?
Could eating a bug make my cat vomit profusely?
Some bugs, and many spiders will cause a cat to be sick. Also, a it could be something he ate that he found in the garage. Some plants will also do this My guess is he vomited up whatever was making him sick, and if he is acting find now, I would just keep an eye on him, and you might want to make an appointment with your regular vet tomorrow just to make sure he's fine.
