It's not dangerous, you just don't have the ABS system working. It will drive like a car that comes with out ABS. You need to have the ABS system scanned for codes to determine what went bad. It may be one of the 4 wheel speed sensors or the "clock spring" in the steering column. OBD II code readers don't work for ABS codes and the scan tool is $2,500. Time for a trip to the dealer. Have them look for any open recalls while you are there. Might as well get any free work done if you have not been at the dealer for a while.

the abs light will come on when somthing is wrong with the abs system. i have seen alot of people answer this saying check your fluid. however that would be your red brake light and not the yellow abs light. dont worrie TOO much your brakes will still work but you just wont have anti-lock, just good ole brakes..the kind you have to pump if your in a skid. you should have them checked by somone who knows brakes. it could be somthing as simple as a sensor out of adjustment or rust build up or a tooth missing on the exciter rings, now and then i have seen a broken wire right off the sensor. without actually looking at your car with either a scanner or at least a meter or your wheel sensors it can be hard to say any more. increase your following distance and make an appointment to get your car looked at.
