My Bearded Dragon Turns Yellow

My bearded dragon turns yellow?

It may be because she is about to shed. Check to see if her skin looks partially raised. If so, you can buy some spray that helps tgem shead, but make sure that its for beardies Also, make sure she gets proper food. Feed her crickets, and maybe superworms if ahe is around a year old. And dont forget vegetables! I recommend romaine lettuce, collard greens, tomatos, blueberries, carrots, and strawberries. The temp in the cage should be aroung 90°f for your beardie, and if it isn't, you may want to adjust it. Also, if you dont have one, a uvb light is a must have for proper bone growth. And another light you should have is a night light that you turn off in the day, and turn on in the night, instead of leaving the cage dark, because it will get too cold. Hope this helps!

Why is my bearded dragons head turning yellow?

They change color depending on if theyre cold or warm... or their mood. Its normal.

My Bearded dragon has yellow eyes.?

I have an adult bearded dragon named Pepe, I bought him at a pet store when he was just a hatchling not even three inches long. Six or seven years later he is very big and is living happily in a 55 gallon tank, He's very friendly, my family and I hold him all the time, I soak him in some warm water occasionaly to help aid in shedding, he gets crickets usually once a week, sometimes meal worms if we have them. I also wash and cut romaine lettuce, never iceburg into very small pieces, just enough for him to chew comfortably without choking. He gets lettuce a lot, I keep his cage clean, and use white sand to keep his grey body from being dyed from the coloured sand, and I give him lots of love. He also has a very good heat rock, and a heat lamp up on top. These past few months I've began to notice that the area around his eyes have been slowly turning an orangish yellow, and this morning I also noticed that he has some of the colouration on his beard as well, just not as prominent. Pepe is a very lively lizard, he eats very well and always goes to the bathroom, and his feces looks healthy. If it werent for the orange-yellow thats been slowly appearing on him I would say that he is one of the healthiest lizards I've ever seen.

The orange-yellow is bothering me and is making me wonder if Pepe is sick (it doesn't appear that is the case though), or is lacking in some important vitamin or mineral. If anyone has any idea of what this may be your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What is the reason why my bearded dragon is turning yellow?

Yeah, I agree you need to be more specific. Maybe provide a picture, or describe where they yellowing is occurring. My Psyche, got VERY yellow spots just above her eyes.As you can see, the color difference is extremely noticeable. As you can see, she is stressed due to her dark coloring. She’s a really, bright, cream color when she is happy. Multiple people agreed it was yellow fungus, and we began to treat it as such. We went and saw our vet, fearing she only had a few months to live. It turned out to be coloring, and my vet explained it as turning yellow because that part of their body is closest to the light. I still see it occasionally, but it doesn’t look quite like that anymore. It comes and goes. So, I’ll leave you with some questions. Where is the yellowing occurring? Is it on her tummy? Be worried. What color is the rest of her? Is it brighter than she normally is? Because that can indicate mood. Look how bright Psyche is in this picture (she’s happy because she’s asleep).

Can shedding cause a bearded dragons head to turn yellow?

I do not know much about bearded dragon's and we haven't had our for long maybe 4 weeks. I am not sure how old it is but it's about 18 inches long (tip of nose to end of tall). We have noticed him shedding and yesterday we went to pick him up and he had an attitude and his whole head was yellow when it has been an ashy color. Is this normal?

My bearded dragon keeps turning yellow. whats up with that?

Bearded dragons can change color slightly with the seasons and their moods. This time of year they go into a semi-hibernation stage called brumination. Because they eat less and are far less active during this time, sometimes their skin will change color. Also, like most reptiles, they shed their skin and this too can cause it to look different.

Don't worry about it. Just make sure he does have food available when he's hungry - not often - and stays warm enough.

As far as holding him goes, just do it a lot. Make sure you support his feet. They don't like to dangle in space, so always place a hand underneath him when you pick him up. He may never stop trying to jump out of your hands, so hold him firmly to help him get used to the fact that there's no danger.

Why is my bearded dragons arms and neck turning yellowish orange? is this normal?

Why is my bearded dragon turning dark?

Is your whole bearded dragon turning dark, or is just beard turning dark? As they age their beard darkens and more black can be seen between the front scales. If his stomach is getting dark colours on it these are stress marks, shaped like this “( )” but scattered in bunches. This means something has changed that the beardie doesn't like. Could be diet, temp, sleep times, the lights could be expired. The UVB lights something stop emitting UVB light months before they actually burn out, this happens at about 6 months, same with heat bulb weakens and should be replaced every 6 months, even if it's shining brightly.Your question is very vague, so if his whole body just turned dark all of a sudden, then that is something I don't know about, and personally I would ask the reddit bearded dragon community, check online forums and beardie info sites, or ask my local reptile store. If you send me a picture I can ask them for you.If he has slowly been changing colour to darker shades, and it comes out in small bits that get bigger, this could just be it's natural colouring coming out. My guy gets new little streaks of orange all the time, and also whenever his back scales spread out the new scales between them are bright orange. He started very dark and grows oranger and oranger every month. If you give me more info I will offer more help, otherwise good luck figuring things out!
