My best friend is best friends with someone i hate?
(Note: I am not using the actual names of these people, even myself, for privacy reasons.) Hi i am 14 and my name is Lila My best friend's name is Alice, and the girl i dont like's name is Sheila. Sheila and I used to be really great friends, she was awesome to have around. But then I started to not like her anymore because every time I was with her she would make blonde jokes about me (im blonde) and she wouldnt stop insulting me no matter how much I told her to stop! (I dont think she realized she was insulting me but it hurt either way...) Then, I met this really amazing guy named Jacob, but then Sheila made us break up because our relationship got really awkward cause she pressured him to kiss me, and afterwords he didnt like me anymore because we couldnt even text each other without it feeling awkward, she was probably jealous. Ever since then I have hated her... Now, the problem is, my best friend (for ten years), Alice, is very close (not best) friends with Sheila. I really don't care that she is close friends with her, im not anyone to control who she is friends with and not :) I just recently found out that Alice is inviting me, Sheila, and other good friends to her birthday party in three weeks. I don't want to see Sheila at all. She has been trying to talk to me ever since the breakup, and I blocked her on facebook. I just can't stand being in the same room as her because it makes me feel like I want to cry... I am really afraid that I will cry at the party, because I miss Jacob a lot, and he doesnt want to get back together with me ever (he told me) because it was too awkward. The thing is, I just dont want to go to the party, period. But i have to attend because Alice is my bestie and I will do anything for her... What should I do at the party to avoid contact with Sheila? And what should I do if she tries to have contact with me? And how can I avoid crying? (Its a really strong urge to cry when I think about him, I am crying right now.., and its not a big party, only about six or seven of us there including me and Alice and Sheila).... Heeeeeeeeeelppp! My best friend's friends hate me?
Ok, basically me and my best friend are really really close. But we have separate groups of friends, and she has more friends than me. I've tried to make friends with her friends because she mad friends with mine, but they seem to have taken a sudden dislike to me. They think I follow them, and they walk away as soon as I come over to talk. I was getting pretty friendly with them but they seem to hate me now. I don't know what to do, I can't make my best friend stop being friends with them. Its been a really difficult and lonely year for me and I'm just fed up with it. I have even contemplated finding another school to go to. I just don't understand why people don't seem to want to be around me. I know I'm shy and quiet, but I do my best to make conversation and it never works. I feel like crap right now. It feels like I only have one friend. I'm so hurt, I was really making progress with becoming friends with them and now its completely ground to a halt and I'm back to square one. I'm nearly in my 3rd year of secondary school now, and I still haven't made proper friends. I really don't know what to do. I've asked my family for advice, but they didn't really have a clue. The guidance councilor in my school is a lunatic (that's actually sort of funny). Every time I try and make friends with a group of people there is always one person who thinks I'm weird or doesn't like me. I really don't understand why. I need help...

Discuss with your best friend why you feel uncomfortable with the other so called “friend”. This “ friend “ is not your friend if she is being mean to you. Perhaps this person is jealous of you. Hopefully, your best friend will understand.Yes, walk away from the one who is being mean to you. Be civil, but that’s all. You don’t have to be friends with all your best friend’s friends.
What do you do when your best friend hangs out with someone you hate?
I have a friend that does the same thing. Its not that big of a deal. She can make her own choices in friends and you can make yours. I'm sure she'll stop being her friend if she starts talking smack about you or lying to her but let her find that out on her own. And definently dont talk about the girl you hate in front of your friend or at all for that matter. If you start talking smack your best friend might end up mad at you.

To gain what? So they can both join together to retaliate and hate you? There's a reason policemen hate to break up domestic violence disputes -- because nine times out of ten, the two people join together to fight the poor person trying to intercede. If your so-called friend is now completely ignoring you, face the fact -- she wasn't that much of a friend, or you weren't, or you ignored warning signs that how you were engaging in the friendship didn't work for her. In any event, it's time to take some radical responsibility, do some deep soul searching, move on and become the person that people want to stay friends with always.

My Best Friend Is Hanging Out With Someone I Hate?
Hey, I'm an 18 year old female and for about two years now, my female best friend has been hanging out with another female that I absolutely hate. I will call my best friend Susie and the girl I hate will be named Sarah. So here's the story, Susie and Sarah and I were best friends together for about two years, but Sarah and I had a fight and now I can't stand her. We dislike each other. Susie knows how I feel about Sarah but she still hangs out with her and texts her all the time. This drives me absolutely crazy because when I say I hate Sarah, I absolutely HATE her. Just the thought of my best friend hanging out with her pisses me off so much I can't stand it. I'm literally a mountain of rage when I even hear Sarah's name. I'd prefer not to feel like this, but I can't help how I feel. I know it's probably not normal to hate someone to that extent, but I do. I'm fine with Susie hanging out with anyone besides Sarah, so it's not a possessive thing. Maybe I'm jealous? I don't know. I know that Susie likes me better and we even hang out alot more than Susie does with Sarah, but it still pisses me off the Sarah even gets to share a little bit of time with my best friend. Can anyone give me some good advice? Also, no I'm not making up with Sarah, I already apologized but she ignored me (mostly why I hate her). She made it clear that we weren't friends.
