My Cocker Spaniel For The Past 4 Weeks Has Developed 1 Red Eye Lid.

Help badly needed for my dog scratching and biting herself constantly?

Hi everyone, I have a mixed breed dog having these problems. Went to several vets multiple
times desperately searching for any solutions that could help my dog. It's heartbreaking to see her suffer..

Problems:
1) Scratching:-top of head, near eye area (eyelid)
-mouth (lower lips)
-neck
-area behind front leg
-paw biting

2) Small red lesions on spot (hairless due to biting); hairless + lesions on:
-both thigh
-area above thigh, stomach (pratically on areas she could reach)
-legs
-Looked through her fur, no 'flea dirt'

3) Vet's Diagnosis:
-skin scraping containing some sort of skin parasites

4) Treatment Done:
-Frm vets: anti-histamine, loads of oral medications frm multiple visits, 3-shots injection for frm vet (1 week between each shot)
-Home:Frontline sprayed, bathing once a week (same moisturizing shampoo used since puppy),

5) Description of Dog:
-10 months old, medium size, medium long fur, active, stayed indoors (nvr goes out frm house), no other animals in house (however, stray cats & neighbors dog sometimes passed by house), normal appetite & bowel movement

6) Diet:
-Current = NutriEdge Holistic salmon & rice formula; Contain no corn;by products;flavor;fillers;BHA/BHT)
-Diet since puppy was Pedigree chicken & egg > scratched;changed to lamb formula of different brand (she wouldn't eat it, & it's very expensive!) > changed to NutriEdge Holistics > still scratching!

7) When she started scratching/biting, went to vet last month, & weeks after 3-shots injection, started scratching back. Sprayed Frontline. Scratched after few days. Now scratching/biting even worse. I suspect food allergy at first, but right now I am clueless. Desperately need some solutions or suggestions for my dog, thanks..

My puppy eye is real watery & & red.I think she had pus around it too.?

Never use human treatments on any animal unless prescribed by a vet.

That is where you need to take your puppy, puss means infection and left untreated in the eye can mean the dog will end up losing that eye as a worst case scenario. The ONLY way to treat is to get to your vet and get the right antibiotics and anti-inflamatories if needed along with whatever else they prescribe.

Hope she recovers soon.

My dog has a pimple like thing on her right eye lid?

I asked this question last night but only got 2 answers but the one was helpful. She had it for about a week and it did get a little bigger. It don't bother her at all though. It looks like a pimple to me. My vet passed away about a week ago and they shut the vet down because he owned it. And he was the only vet that was so cheap with his prices and he was just great..but he was so old. If this is serious then I will defiantly take my dog to the vet but all the other ones around me are so costly its unbelievable. So does anyone else know what this may be?

So does anyone know what this really is on her right eye lid? And like I said it don't bother her atleast I never see in irritating her or anything.

Do your pups get eye boogers?

I think mine might have allergies so I have a vet appointment, but every morning and throughout the day I have to clean the goobers out of their eyes!!! Does anyone else have this problem and how normal is it?
