My Epson Printer Won

Epson printer wont print out black print.?

This is the problem of inkjet printers. The ink clogs sitting around. If you don't replace cartridges immediately, your heads become clogged with the ink residue that sat around. You should leave the printer on. It takes very little power and circulates the ink every so often to avoid clogging.
To recover from a clog try this:
leave the printer on for a day
run several head cleanings and print the nozzle check pattern
if that doesnt fix it, remove the cartridges and drop alcohol where the ink enters the printer.
reinsert the cartridges
run one head cleaning
wait about an hour then run some head cleanings.
if that still doesnt work, your heads may be clogged to the point where they need repair or replacement, which will probably cost more than a new printer.
If you need a new one, read this:

Right now Epson is having a blowout on the R280 for $60. It prints on DVDs.

The biggest complaint about all inkjets is the high cost of ink cartridges. http://ccs-digital.com has cartridges for about $4.50 each. They also have a unique product - a two-piece cartridge where the ink is in a separate tank inside the cartridge. When the ink runs out, you replace just the ink tank and the original chip resets itself to full. By keeping the same chip, you save 1.50 per cartridge. Ink tanks are only $3 and hold 50% more ink than disposable cartridges.

My Epson printer won't print. Help?

Okay, I have had 2 Epson printers and that has happened to me soooo many times!! It usually happens if you don't use the printer for over a week or change ink. I have even had to call their 1-800 number a few times. You need to go to File- Print- (preferences) and then (maintenance).. Click on 'Head Cleaning' and do it a couple times until you see ink. If it doesn't work, do it one more time. If is still doesn't work you will have to call their customer service center. If it does work then select (align). If you bought your printer less than a year ago, they will send you a new one (if nothing they tell you to do works). Which is how I got my second one. I will never buy an Epson printer again.

Epson Printer... won't print! It has ink!?

highlight the entire document, then change the font color.
not to brag, but I cant help it, my printer automatically chooses a color for me when it runs out of ink.
its an HP. boo ya

Why won't my Epson printer print?

Follow the directions that came with the printer. If you lost them, download the manual from the Epson web site.Assuming the paper moves through the printer as expected, it is probably because the ink is gone or dried out, or clogged the jets, especially if it is not an Epson cartridge filled with Epson ink. Refill or replace the cartridge with a new official Epson branded one.If that doesn’t work, buy a new printer.

Epson printer won't print because one color is out?

Yes it does.

Most printers function much the same way.

There are several reasons why:

Your printer does not use a true black, it needs all three colours to darken and sharpen the black. This allows for higher quality photos however is a nuisance when trying to print in black only.

You also have an integrated print head which heats and cools rapidly when printing. IN order to protect the print head from damage the print head must be primed with a small amount of ink each time you print. This acts as a coolant preventing your print head from sustaining damage when printing.

Epson Printer won't print a full page?

Have you checked in the printer preferences to see if you have the correct size paper selected. That may be your problem

Go to printer preferences and select 8.5 x 11 paper

Maybe ink clogged

First step is to see will if it print a test page

Go to Start, settings, printers. Right click on the printer, properties, print test page.

If that doesn't work there should be a head cleaning option in properties that will make it clean the print heads.

If there is still nothing after that then either it’s badly clogged, low or out of ink, and needs to be replaced

My epson XP-410 won't print black ink and all the ink cartridges are full?

Had this same problem. Black would not print but all the colours were OK. Replaced the black cartridge but still would not print. Cleaned and re-cleaned the heads several times. Followed the advice of folding a piece of paper into a strip and placed it under the print head with power off. Added some cleaning fluid to the paper and slid the print head back and forth across the cleaning fluid. Tried to print and found only the cyan still worked. Had successfully stopped magenta and yellow from printing as well. I now knew it wasn t a mechanical issue.

The Big Fix:
Placed four refillable cartridges into the printer and filled with ink. Placed another folded strip of paper under the print head. Removed the filler plugs and inserted tip of the filler syringe from ink refill kit into the hole. Blocked the breather hole in the cartridge with finger and applied small amount of air preasure to the ink in the ink cartridge until it purged all the air out and bled through onto the paper. Repeated for all cartridges. Replaced the plugs and printed a photo in best photo quality and it printed perfectly. All fixed. Just needed to purge the air from the print system.

Printer has Ink but won't Print?

I just bought new ink for my Epson Stylus CX4800 Printer.
I know it's an All-In-One and All-In-Ones are crap, but it's always worked fine for me in the past.
The printer says it has ink and is functioning normally; however, when it prints there is nothing on the page.
I've run every diagnostic program on it and they all say the printer is running normally and has full ink.
What should I do?
Ink is very expensive, I cannot buy any more.

My EPSON Printer won't scan, but the photocopier works =/?

Download Epson Scan software version 3 from the Epson website --> http://www.epson.co.uk/Printers-and-All-...
(Click on the drivers and support link, then Drivers & Software) - Select Windows Vista (not Windows 7!! read below)
Note: There is no Windows 7 version of the program, but you can download the Vista version, which is compatible with Windows 7 according to the Microsoft compatibility website --> http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compati...

The scan software should resolve your issue. Also make sure you also download the latest driver software from the same web site.

Just as a side note - the link above is from the Epson UK web site. Apparently this particular printer model was manufactured for the UK. This model is not supported on the US web site.

How do you print envelopes on my Epson printer?

Epson printers were designed to support several different types and sizes of paper media. One paper media type you can use with the Epson printer is envelopes. If you have a large group of letters to send out, typing the addresses on your computer and printing them onto the envelopes is easier than handwriting each address.
