My Face Is Really Asymmetric. What Can I Do

My face is asymmetrical?

When I take pictures of my face it is very obvious. One side of my face is much more round and my eyes are very asymmetrical too. I am so self conscious. Do other people see me the way I look from pictures? When I take videos with other people they look the exact same as how I see them but my face looks asymmetrical and not how I see myself in the mirror at all.

Face Asymmetrical?

I feel the same way about my face.
But do not fret, your brain has gotten used to how your face looks in a mirror because that's usually the most common way to see yourself.

Similarly, everyone else has gotten used to your non-mirror face, so if they were to see your face in a mirror, it would appear to them asymmetrical.

So don't let them look at you through a mirror :D

Asymmetrical face?

Okay, so this is a problem that bothers me, A LOT. It s like one part of my face is totally different from the other. If i take a picture straight on of my face, my eyes have a totally different shape, my eyebrows does not look anything like eachother, and one side of my jaw goes more up . I don t know if i can do anything about it, but it just makes me feel so ugly. My ears are also different. When i have to curl my eyelashes, It s also a lot more difficult to reach the ones on my other eye.

I hate my asymmetrical face?

well on my left eye the flap thing goes down farther then my right. so when i look in the mirror my eyes always look different. the right seems to sparkle but the left is dull.
but anyways you have to understand that you will always inspect your face more that other people will, you will see every little flaw that other people don't necessarily pay attention to.
look at it like this, when you look at other people, do you inspect their face for every possible flaw/zit/ anything they have...no
and other people aren't looking at you like that.

Why is my face so asymmetrical?

Please help everything was fine with me till i saw that the left side of my face compared to my right, my self esteem has deteriorized. Is it my lips, eyebrows? Its so bad

Can braces really fix facial asymmetry?

I have asymmetrical face and I really hate it, it's totally ruining my self-esteem. Well, I talked about it to my friend and she said that braces could fix my facial asymmetry. It sounded too good to be true. So I am a bit sceptical about it.
Does that really make sense? Wil braces fix only my teeth, or my whole face like my friend said?

Can weight gain make your face asymmetrical?

It can contribute to the weight your facial muscles have to hold up -- the "tone" of your skin/muscles. Further the fat distribution in the face with weight gain will stretch the skin a bit and contribute to a 'sag'.. and some swelling.

However, technically it won't shift your cranial alignment..

Your observations are likely a ptosis of the eye brow/lids and the weight gain is exxagerating what already exists.

Losing weight generally will make your face look better in any regard. So definitely start at that point until you have lost weight to a healthy weight. Then you can judge whether you need any sort of cosmetic 'lift'.

I'm concerned because my face is asymmetrical?

every faci is asymmetrical, but i think you see more differences than there really are. lets face it (no pun intended) if we had symmetrical faces, we would look totally freaky. try this----get a facial photo of yourself. duplicate the photo and cut them in half. join the photos with opposite halves. now look---freaky eh?
maybe you should see a cosmetic surgeon to discuss if anything should be done--most give free consultations. if you then decide to do something, check up on the surgeons available first.
trust me..noone is completely happy with how they look (im not either), but surgery is a big step.
go to a reputable company first, and ask for a face makeup. big companies sometimes do this for free in large stores. try to find out what suits you and enhances the parts you are comfortable with.
if you still feel the same, then i would consider the possibility of correctional surgery.
however, if no one has ever commented about this, then i think you can rest assured, its not visible to others.
my own jaw line is not ok. one side of my mouth is a little lower than the other.so my lips are also uneven, but i think it gives character to my face. i understand that your face is probably the most important thing to you, as its the first thing people see, butcan it really be that bad if your sister says its ok? i would trust her judgement, as she is probably very close to you, sees that its bothering you, and wouldnt lie just to make you feel better. i know i would trust my own sisters with something so important to me.
think carefully about this, like i said, its a big step, but if you opt for it, then i wish you all the luck i can.
