My Friend Is Going To Have Pretty Much The Same Pc As Me Except For A Brand In Vid Card

Is HP a good brand for laptops?

I am eligible to answer this question since I used this laptop for one and half year.I brought the HP model hp pavilion 15-au114tx 15.6 inch , i5 , 8 gigs ram and 4 gigs graphic card priced at around ₹65,000(910$). For the same price I could opt for some cheaper models like Acer or Asus something like that. It was fine for the first six months but then the hinges began to crack due to poor manufacturing and the battery for this price was builtin which again is a cons if you face any battery problem. I study in a college where most people use laptops. Few of my friends who brought the same edition suffered from the same hinge problem as mine. Though it is just slightly compact as compared to dell I feel dell is quite strong in its body and atleast better when compared to this. The screen of this bloody laptop vibrates when I switch on the fan. Just coz this is a flop model hp even stopped manufacturing it and now ever the slightest repair costs us extra charges for getting repair parts from hell. I don't know why such huge companies experiment on people for their shit. The money which I spent is no less and I think if it's life time is less than the one like Asus or pretty cheap companies better go for them. Check apple, atleast they have a very fine and well tested furbished model which is good though pricy. HP coustomer care services are even worse I am telling you trust me better go for something which prioritises customer satisfaction. If you feel I am just bitching about this company , just ask by yourself to the people who use HP wether they would go by HP laptop again? Just go with the one which is well tested before spending a lot of bucks!

Is Inno3D a good video card brand?

Hi,Fakhri Inno3D is not the best choice but it newer can be burned in two weeks only if it be overclocked very much, but like i said is not the best choice if you want to play all the games on ultra in 1980x1050 resolution i recomend brand like msi asus evga gainward is the most famous video cards, and i recomend to get the GTX 660 Ti or GTX 570 is cost same about 290-340$, but the GTX 660 ti are much better then the GTX 570 because it has 2GB Minimum power supply 450w (GTX 580 has 550) and it has better performance in the games .

Will buying a new video card reduce lag?

Hello, re writing my question cuz it didn't make sense on the first post. Anyways I have a few questions I would like to ask.

1.) I am currently playing Age of Conan. And I have been getting such lag, that my frame rate is 2-12 fps! The graphics on it compared to my friends is really crappy... I can't even see the water clearly and the environment. It looks like EQ 1! Can anybody tell me what's wrong? Do I need a new video card?? Cuz I can play most games w/o any graphic or lag problems but this... Such as WoW, EQ, GW, RAN, AoE, and plenty of other MMO, they all to work smoothly but AoC...

2.) And if I do get a new video card, can you tell me the benifits?? Like will it reduce lag?? And how does it work, like will my frame rate go up??

Thanks to those who can help! :)

And here are is some info for my comp.

*Video Card is: ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 Series
*RAM is: 2G
*Disk Space is: 168.3GB
*CPU Speed is: 3.20 GHz
*and I use Compaq Presario Intel Celeron with Windows XP

What is the success rate of building your own PC?

I want to build one of my own soon. I have one friend who has built his own computers, but he always seems to run into random issues with them. From yours and other peoples experiences with building PC's what are the chances of it running for a long time to come with little to no issues? well i mean nothing major. i have bought many prebuilt computers and they all lasted for years....thats all i want.

IMac Vs. alienware, which is better?

First off neither of them is worth it. A pc you buy prebuilt will always cost WAY more than one that you build yourself. When I built my first pc, I had no prior knowledge of them. I went to the library(the internet was still new at the time), found a book, and followed it. Nowadays there are TONS of guides on the internet, and pcs are MUCH easier to put together, as everything can only fit in one possible place pretty much.If you don't feel confident in it, then buy the parts and have a friend who knows what they are doing build it for you. You will get twice the pc for your money by doing it that way.

One thing I must mention as well is that if you do plan on gaming, stay away from Macs in general. Many games never come out on mac, and if they do it isn't until much later than they do on the pc. As for the money side of things, I know you said money is not an issue, but why waste it? You could get so much better. Anyway thats just my 2cents on the issue.

What is the best gaming computer brand?

I really never saw so many stupid answers - alienware fans lol :-)
For that price a good PC would have to have i5 2500K or i7 2600K and 8GB RAM and GTX 560 or similar card, very good case like CM HAF 922 and aftermarket CPU cooler like CM Hyper 212 or Corsair H50. PSU - 750W in case you'll want another video card, oh and SLi ready motherboard, or crossfire if you like ATI.
Now take a look at the computer below and make few upgrades to it to fit your needs. It's perfect actually. And overclocked too. Free shipping, genuine software, no spamware, good warranty.. perfect ratings....
Good luck,,, and don't buy alienware...ever

Are ram cards universal?

There are different types of RAM that fit in different size sockets. It has nothing to do with brand, it has to do with type, such as DDR2, DDR, or SDRAM. If you want more information, e-mail me.
