My Hair Is Thinning At An Alarming Rate

IS MATT HARDY'S HAIRLINE THINNING AT AN ALARMING RATE?

YES it's quite scary actually

My hair is thinning at an alarming rate?

I'm 21, female, not the best diet in the world but it isn't horrible. I never had problems with my hair till I lived in Korea for a year when it started thinning. and now, even though I've been back in the US for 9 months, it continues to thin out. Every single shower I get clumps of hair the size of my palm and it's kind of scary. It's gotten so thin that I can't even wear properly full straight bangs anymore (the only style I like) because if I pull too much hair to the front for my bangs then the back is so absurdly thin that I have to just keep it in a ponytail.

I was wondering if there are any products that help re-build hair, stimulate growth, etc. Shampoo, condition, creams, whatever. I looked at a few past yahoo!answers but all of the product recommendations I found are for things no longer being produced. I feel so overwhelmingly frustrated, please help!

My hair is thinning...?

I'm a 21 year old female and I noticed my hair is thinning. I am a little worried. What could be causing this? Does wearing your hair up have anything to do with it?

Why Is My Hair Falling off?

"Excessive" hair loss is very common. Few stray hairs on the bed, while combing in bathroom, these and many other causes for the person to be alarmed. But don't be, normally, we shed up to 100 hairs per day. Hair in normal and healthy conditions does not fall out at an alarming rate. The excess fall out occurs mostly when the hair follicle is not healthy.

These are some possible causes:
1. Nutrition and Anaemia - Women experience much hair falling as they suffer from iron deficiency, anaemia following profuse bleeding after confinement and continous menses. Calcium and vitamin deficiencies also take vital role in hair shedding.
2. Water and Chemicals - you are taking bath with salt water and using shampoo, colouring and perming lotions and dyes, those may disagree to you, shake the hair root to experience temporary shedding.
3. Diseases - Many people experience extensive hair loss after high Fever,Typhoid, Malaria and Jaundice. Sometimes baldness has also resulted following a prolonged illness.
4. Infections and Dandruff - If you are prone to infections such as Bacterial, Viral or Fungal, it can cause spot fall out. Existence of lice and its excretions may irritate your hair follicle.
5. Emotions - Some people who are unable to cope up with pressures of life, all the time worrying about the problems at work place or home, having most of their emotional conflicts unsolved, are the easy victims of excess hair loss. The muscles of the scalp constrict with mental tension, thereby the blood circulation gets impeded resulting in suffocation of the hair follicles.
6. Drugs - It has been clinically observed that certain Antibiotics, Chemical medications and Hormonal therapies such as Birth-control pills causes the excess falling of hair.
7. Hormonal imbalance - Our genes and hormones determine the most common cause of hair loss. Most women shed their hair during menopause when the production of female hormone slows down. Thyroid disorders, mostly hypothyroidism causes considerable hair loss due to impaired calcium metabolism.

If you are still as alarmed then maybe you should just consult with a doctor 'cause he/she must have more solutions to it than just those who answer your question here.

Why is my hair falling out?

I'm a 14 yr old healthy girl and my hair is falling out. I dyed it two months ago and dyed it every once in awhile for the past three years. I shower everyday and have been for years. My hair just started falling out, like a lot, a week after school started. 5 weeks ago. I pull out like up to ten hairs during the day in one handful and if i do it again an hour later its around ten again. And a LOT falls out in the shower. Like 20 or 30 hairs. It's freaking me out. What the hell is happening

Hairloss, Premature Balding, Receding Hairline...?

I'm only 21, yet my hairloss occurs at an alarming rate. Now, I have a noticable bald patch, and my hairline is extremely high. I definitely want to say I am used to it, but the truth of the matter is no matter what, I feel extremely self-conscious.

I have tried using hairloss shampoos and lotions before, but have now stopped since I find them to be ineffective. I am a medical student, so I have done enough researches to know all of the predispositions to hair loss- stress, unhealthy diet, etc... And I have tried my best to avoid them all, to no avail. Of course there's another factor I can't beat- Genetics. Since both my Grandfather and Father have baldness too.

I would like to know if there are anyone out there who had the same problem and are on treatment? And wether the treatments are effective or not?
