Does cutting hair short help hair loss?

Help! The hairstylist cut my hair too short!?
My hair used to be very long (to my waist) and I've decided to get a haircut for a change. So I went to Haircuttery (sucks btw) and this lady cut my hair a little too short than the pictures I showed her. She didn't even cut it right! She just grabbed a handful of hair and chopped it off with scissors when you're supposed divide it layer by layer. And it wasn't even..EVEN! Me, being nice, didn't say anything because I thought that she was going to fix it (she was a really nice lady btw). So I just ended up going to an freelanced guy who my cuz recommended. I asked for a thinning and he chopped it off even more! Now my head looks like 1 of those precious moment kids but flipped. I hate it. So here's my questions: 1. What should I have done? 2. Anyone recommend a good hairstylist in Chicago-southside? 3. What can I do with my hair now? Actually, it kind of looks exactly like the avatar.

You get what you pay for! That's what you get for thinking you can cut your own hair. Okay, the only thing to do now is hide away for about a year or so and by then the hair will have grown a little longer. Or... you can go to a good stylist and get it fixed up so it at least has some shape and looks prettier as it grows out. There is only time that will fix this for you. You can of course get some false hair and attach it in any way. These include temporary hair pieces, full wigs, extensions of any kind. It all depends on how much you can afford. Sometimes trying to save your money just means you get to spend more!!

Your hair can't grow a noticeable amount it two days... It will grow back and soon it will be normal. Wear a cap/beanie? Good luck! Try and don't worry and if people laugh at you, laugh with them. Make a big joke out of the situation. Plus who cares what you look like tbh, you are the same person you were last week and tbh it shouldn't matter what other think of you :)
My stylist cut my hair too short!?
I asked my stylist to just trim my split ends and give me a few layers - I had hair down the middle of my back. I'm particular about my hair and didnt watch as she cut it as I wanted to see the overall look at once. SHE CUT OVER 10 1/2 INCHES OFF. I now have layered bob.. some reaches my shoulders but d**m I want my long hair back. I don't look good with short hair! She told me she thought it would be nice for summer - I don't care it's not what I asked for!!! Can anyone please help with remedies on growing my hair back asap? I know there isnt any miracle grow for hair, but what tips and tricks will help??? Please serious answers only...

Don't cry. It's okay, take a deep breath. I'm sorry to say but there's not much you can do other than wait for it to grow out. Don't worry, it's not a permanent problem. Take a multivitamin every day or take biotin to help speed up your hair growth. If you can't get extensions, there's nothing else at all you can do really. Just explain to your parents what happened, they'll understand.
HELP i cut my hair waaaaaay too short and it sticks up.?
Heyz, i got a similar situation in the past, 4 or 5 times in fact. I think i might be able to help you as I learnt afew hairdressing tips from my friends . (I'm a guy who keeps long hair and knows that if it is short to a certain length, it sticks up naturally.) I divide this to 5 steps, hope it will help you. 1) Is your hair layered? If so, you can consider having a spikey look overall. the trend which is hot now is spikey at the top and flatter on the sideburns, spikey at the back. 2) Is your hair coloured? Short hair looks much better when colored with a light color (blonde) than black. 3) use GEL and SPRAYS, these things are really strange to me, my hair seems to grow much faster when i use them. not scientifically proven 100% though. Garnier is my choice. 4) Do you use conditioner? Shampoo and Conditioner it before you go out can help it be flatter naturally when u style it. put more conditioner and leave it longer on the spot which sticks before washing it off. Pantene (silky) is good. VO5 not bad. L'oreal wears off after a few hours. in my own views. 5) if you can help it, Don't wear a hat, it will only make you look more like a boy if it doesn't suit your normal image. OPTIONAL 6_ have confidence girl, image is nothing without confidence. 3 weeks is the norm to look great again :)

PLEEEEASE HELP ME! I was cutting my dead ends off and idk HOW it happened but I got carried away and on the left side, towards the front, I cut a large section of it to just above my chin and then the rest of my hair is shoulder length. So now its also uneven too because theres no way i could cut the other side that short. PLEEEEASE HELP ME! I cant show my parents either cause theyd FLIP OUT if they saw what i did! :( Oh and i REALLY don't want to cut the rest of my hair that short so if there are any other alternatives to that, let me know! PLEASE i need this help ASAP!
