My Knee Cracks/pops Too Often. Should I Be Worried

My knee cracks/pops when i bend it?

Hello,

Get it checked out by a qualified Physician in person. for your description it could be cartilage damage from your previous fitness level. Some athletes suffer in later life with joint problems, some people are more prone than others. Your very young so it should not be serious however I recommend you get it checked out and x-rayed to make sure it’s not damage, early detection is better than putting it off on the never never. And hoping it goes away.

Remember. Stay safe.

Is there any reason I'm 15 and my knees crack/pop?

I'm 15, relatively skinny(5'6" and 115 lbs), and when I crouch/bend down, my knees often crack REALLY loudly. Is there any reason for this? Could there be something wrong with the joint? Thanks!

Knees popping when bending and knees cracking?

I am an runner and When I bend my leg then extend it, it feels like my knee is popping into place. It usually doesnt hurt, but when I do squats , sometimes it hurts. Ive done some research and I just saw things like if its a painless pop, its usually harmless. Would wearing a knee brace help this problem? If so, what kind should I be getting?

Also, lately when Ive been running, my knee has started to crack. I can hear it. What does that mean and should I get a brace for that too?

My right knee cracks everytime I turn it?

Like if I slightly turn it inward it cracks every time with slight but very bearable pain. It's a loud crack other people would be able to hear it. My question is why do bones crack and what does it mean? By the way I don't know if this would have anything to do with it but I played bball baseball track and football In high school so I used my legs A LOT and during football I'm sure it got quite a workout and in baseball I pitched so I pushed off of my right leg quite often. I'm 20 years old and still very active. Am I just being too active?

Is my knees always cracking normal?

Just like cracking your fingers, knees cracking is normal too. There's little air bubbles in between your tissues and when you bend your knees or force your fingers back, those air bubbles pop making the cracking sound. No need to worry unless your forcing it. Trust me, my neck, elbow, knees, fingers, and even toes pop just by moving them and my doctor says I'm completely healthy. :)

Is it normal to have cracklings in the knee after an ACL surgery?

I believe it is. The phenomenon is called crepitus, which literally just means “crackling”. I’m about four years post-ACL surgery and I still get it in the affected knee if I do a squat or any kind of really deep knee bend. I also often get a single, loud crack if I've been lying down for a while and then completely straighten out my leg.My orthopedic surgeon claims that as long as it isn't associated with any pain or inflammation that it's normal, but if those start to happen (and you're more than about 7 months post-surgery) that you should have it looked at.
