My new laptop has really good specs, but it freezes occasionally and is really slow. What could the cause here be?

If your laptop responds slowly to input actions, it may be due to one of the following reasons.HDD problems.Outdated Graphics driver.Windows 10 system issues.Antivirus conflicts.1.HDD problemIf the HDD has some bad sectors, disc reading/writing operations may take longer than normal. You should use CrytalDiskInfo to see the status of your laptop’s HDD.If there are logical issues, you might be able to fix them with this guideline. Physical issues (bad sectors) can only be solved by replacing the HDD with new drive (HDD or SSD).2. Outdated Graphics driverHaving an old graphics driver installed can also cause your computer to respond slowly. Fortunately, Windows 10 updates drivers automatically. Please follow this article to update graphics drivers.3.Windows 10 system issuesReduced system performance may be caused by Windows 10 system issues. If your laptop’s CPU or DISK resource is constantly running at 100%, this is likely your problem. These issues can be fixed with your laptop’s built in Troubleshooting tools located in the Windows Control Panel. You should click on both Run maintenance tasks and Fix problems with Windows Update. In addtion, ugrading Windows to latest version Windows 10 Fall Creator Update (version 1709) should fix these Windows 10 performance issues.4.Antivirus conflictsThere should be no more one antivirus program on your computer. Antivirus programs may conflict if two are installed. Please keep one antivirus program only.Lastly, bloatware that came pre-installed on your laptop may make your computer slow. You should examine and remove unwanted programs.

Why does my new Lenovo laptop works slow?

There will be so many reasons but I will tell u my circumstances which I faced during early days 1 overheating:    If Ur lappy is old check whether all       cooling systems are working or not2 Antivirus :    Make sure u r using Antivirus like         kaspersky because antiviruses like     quickheal can slow down ur lappy       or u can change setting if ur                 antivirus is scanning device every       time when system starts, and if u don't have any antivirus then it will be virus which is slowing down ur lappy With processor u mentioned u should not lag but make sure u r using lappy with no overheating or any heavy antivirus

How much will iTunes slow down my ASUS laptop?

I want to download iTunes, but i dont know how much it will slow it down.

specs:

CPU: Intel Pentium, 2.3GHz

Memory: 4GB

OS: Win7 Premium

HDD: 320GB

RAM: 4GB

Why is my Windows 10 slow? I have a laptop with 16 GB RAM and core i7 2.4. I did everything written on the internet, but it is still slow and has a lot of bugs.

I have a laptop with nearly identical specs, specifically a Dell 5559. It was excruciatingly slow at times. When I opened Task Manager, the 1 TB hard disk was nearly always thrashing at 100% but the processor and memory were seldom running above 50% capacity - and usually much less. That’s a pretty good clue of where the bottleneck was. I replaced the spinning drive with a good Samsung SSD and now the little machine runs lightning fast.Task Manager is an excellent built-in tool for troubleshooting performance problems. Open it up in detail view and run some programs while watching activities under the Perfomance tab to see which component is the bottleneck. Also open the Process tab and see if there are any programs hogging resources.Since you have an i7 processor and 16 gigs, I would bet that your hard drive is the problem. If not, and you find some resource-hogging program processes under the Process tab, kill them and and see if that helps. Don’t kill any Microsoft processes that you are not sure of; they may be essential to the OS. But, if you do cause a crash, a restart will also start up the essential processes once again, fixing your error.

My laptop has high specs but it still lags in every game. How do I fix this?

Thanks for A2A.The truth is that you can't expect great performance on a budget laptop in comparison with performances of desktops available out there. However, trying these tweaks, you can maximize your gaming performance:Always keep your drivers up-to-date. In this case, go to Nvidia's official page to download the latest driver. Never use third party drivers. In Windows control panal, change power mode from balanced to high performance mode both in battery & plugged in mode. Use this same methodology in Nvidia control panal. While gaming, avoid using minimized or hidden applications running. Use task manager to kill those unwanted apps. Now let me unveil the most effective tick to increase FPS in gaming. Always disable anti-alising (MSAA, TXAA, FXAA, SSAA etc.), vertical synchronization, ambient occlusion (SSAO, HBAO etc.) and lower the anisotropic filtering to 2x or 4x or just disable it. Sometimes, you can lower the resolution to get huge FPS boost. Believe me this trick gonna make your laptop run every game till this date in playable frames. You may use game boosters like Razer Cortex etc. in order to get 2% to 5% increase in performance.
