My Phone Randomly Turns Off

IPhone randomly turns off?

Chances are you downloaded a bad app, or there's something else corrupt on your phone.

Whatever the reason, your best bet is to do a restore.

Plug it into the computer with the most recent version of iTunes open. There will be an option to back up your phone (do it, because a restore will wipe your phone). When it's done you should see the option to 'restore' which in the case of iPhones means factory data reset. It takes about an hour, and when finished I'd strongly advise playing with the phone for at least a day to see if everything is ok. Don't put all your data back on it right away. If one of those files is corrupt, it'll just mess up the phone all over again. Make sure the phone works properly before putting everything back on.

What can cause a mobile phone to turn off randomly and how can it be fixed?

If this happens, you have a problem. With the phone or with the software on the phone. You have to know, this is not normal to have such a problem nowadays. It is your choice to select the phone or to select the software you have on the phone. The best phones and the best apps do not turn off randomly, or even once during their 3–5 years of lifetime. First of all you have to make good choices. If you accept the fact that the above is true (it is), and you have a good phone and good apps, then you have to find the culprit.Always remember the latest changes with the phone. Inspect these first.Every technical thing has a problem with water, extra heat, run down battery, memory size filled, dropping. Eliminate these causes. Or have them serviced.Every software based thing has problems with upgrades or installs (since you do not yet know whether the software is good or bad..). Look for the upgrades, installs, eliminate these one by one. Mostly the latest ones.Or you could always use a workaround. Do a reboot. Do a restore. But you should know, for the last ten years I did need to do one of these only twice. So it is better to make the good choice at the beginning.

Why does my phone keep turning off randomly and i have the lg chocolate touch?

It's an LG phone, what do you expect? Seriously - when it comes time to replace it, do NOT get another LG.

That being said, sometimes a battery will start to go bad where an internal cell is affected by vibration. Replacing the battery *might* help. If it is less than 1yr old, it can be replaced under warranty by returning it to a Verizon store... If it's over a year old and you have insurance, you can get it repaired also... If it's over a year, not under extended warranty, AND replacing the battery doesn't fix it, you can try getting an estimate to repair, but I'd suggest trying to find a different used Verizon phone to use until your contract is up and you can upgrade for a good price to a new phone.

Why does my cell phone keep randomly turning off?

My phone does that all the time. it gets annoying i know. But i dropped mine in the pool so that may have to do with something. it usually does. Take the battery out and you will see a dot somewhere and if it is fully red then you have severe water damage and you probably need to get that checked out. But i have had my verizon phone for a year now and it is fine. I just choose to save money. If it isn't red, then it is fine. Verizon phones tend to do that all the time.
hope that helps :)

Why does my iPhone 5 randomly shut off?

Whether it's an iPhone 5 or iPhone 6, and iPad Air or iPad mini, if your device keeps turning off at random, when the battery isn't even depleted, there's a lot you can try on your own before contacting Apple for help. Sure, sometimes it's a hardware problem with the battery or electronics, but often enough it's a software issue that a few simple steps can fix. If so, follow along and we'll get you back up and functioning smoothly in no time!1. Hard resetIf your iPhone or iPad won't charge, one of the first and easiest things to try is a hard reset. Whether it's really shutting down on its own, or it's rapidly depleting the battery due to rogue processes or Wi-Fi or cellular radio activity, a reset can help. Make all the "reboot Windows" jokes you want but sometimes bad bits get stuck and need to be flushed out.Press and hold down both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time.Keep them held down until you see an Apple logo.Let go.Once your iPhone or iPad has rebooted, wait and see. If it stays on and operational, you're good. If not, or if it won't reboot, go on to the next step.2. Plug inIf your iPhone or iPad is rapidly discharging, once you plug in you should see it begin to charge and be able to read the battery level. No charge left means something drained your battery. Partial or full charge means you may have another problem. So, grab your Lightning or 30-pin Dock connector, plug into an outlet or USB port, and start charging. Once your topped up, keep an eye on your iPhone or iPad and see if it shuts down again. If not, great. If so, keep reading.3. Restore your iPhoneRestore through iTunesAfter trying the easy fixes, it's time to try the harder ones. In this case, restoring your iPhone or iPad in iTunes. iTunes is a safer bet than iCloud because it actually offloads, re-installs, and reloads your data rather than doing everything in-place and on your device. That can sometimes shake loose bad bits that even a hard reset or iCloud restore can't.Connect your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad to iTunes on your Mac or Windows PC via Lightning or 30-pin Dock connector.Click on the Device tab at the top left.Click on Backup.Wait for the backup to finish.Click on RestoreWait for the restore to finish. When you're all done, see if your iPhone or iPad stays on. If so, hallelujah. If not, there's on more thing to try.

Why does my iPhone 6 screen randomly turn on?

This normally happens when you have an event that triggers the phone to wake up. Events can be any type of application message that comes across your iPhone, someone that tried to called you and may have left a message on the cell phone’s voice make, or, your iPhone has an app on it that someone else is remotely controlling (i.e. remotely controlling your cell phone’s camera and/or microphone). The remote control of your iPhone smart phone is a common problem with all makes and models of smart phones and simply means that someone has hacked into your phone. Robotronics LLC | Facebook

My android phone won't turn off?

I have a nexus 5 and a galaxy s4, and on both, the screen randomly turns on out of no where, and it won't dim and turn off again. It can't be any apps because it's happening to both of them. I don't like charging my phone over night but now I have to because the screen will be on literally all night and then it'll die. Is this happening to anyone else?

My cordless phone is shutting off randomly!?

It is annoying, it acts like the battery is dead, but I just charged it for 6 hours yesterday! It used to last a few days, maybe even a week on a full charge... Now sometimes when I am trying to dial, it randomly shuts off and 90% of the time it turns back on. I recently got a new iPod touch, could that be a problem? Is it receiving interference via the multiple wireless devices in my home? Or is the battery worn out?
