Can you open Adobe Photoshop CS6 files in CS4?

Like I have to create an image for school and the school computers have Photoshop CS4 but at home I have Photoshop CS6. I don't have enough time in class to work for my project and I was thinking at working on it from home, so when I save the image is there an option to save as... CS4 file or something like that? Thank you :)

Why won't photoshop import my .mov file?

It depends on which version of Photoshop CS5 you're using (32 or 64-bit). If you're using the 64-bit version, it won't work - VF2L requires the 32-bit version depending on the version of Quicktime you're using. If you're using a 64-bit version of PS CS5, you need to download the 64-bit version of QT. If you download the current release of iTunes, it'll install QT 64-bit.

You can also get it at Filehorse: http://www.filehorse.com/download-quickt...

You can also just convert the file to a more friendly format, like AVI, MPG, etc.

Of course if you want to avoid the hassle altogether, upgrade to CS6 - that problem is gone. Not only can you Import MOV files as VF2L, the Import panel lets you select the the whole video clip, or select the frame sequence you want so you don't have to deal with unwanted frames, before it actually places the clip in the Timeline.

Trust me when I say the upgrade is worth it. CS6 is as big a jump from CS5 as it was from CS3 - CS4 and 5. There are so many cool upgrades and new features it'll blow your mind. The Content Aware Patch and Move tools are worth it alone.

You can also upgrade by subscription; for current Adobe customers with CS products, their intro price for Creative Cloud Service (subscription to all of their main programs, and more) is only $29/mo for an annual subscription. I was going to upgrade my CS5.5 Master Collection to CS6, but realized it would be about $200 less with the Creative Cloud subscription ($360 vs $525 to upgrade). I was initially skeptical, but I love it so far. They streamlined the download manager (it only takes about 10-15 minutes for it to fully download/install Photoshop), and the other programs available that aren't in the Master Collection (Muse, Edge, and others) are also pretty cool. Not to mention if you're doing videos, you can use Premiere and After Effects also (if your hardware is up to it).

All updates are free as well, and you get instant notification.

You should at least check it out - even if you stop after a year, it's still cheaper than upgrading. But the intro pricing is only until August 31 - after that, it's $50/mo.

File will not delete - photoshop file?

check out these two websites they both offer programs that should be able to remove the file off your computer the first website is for macs and the second for pc.
or you could open up task manager
Ctrl+Alt+Del and click on any Processes or Applications that would be using the file or have any association with the file
and then click End Process
after this quit task manager and try and delete the file if this doesn't work

Delete the file in safe mode. To get into safe mode
restart your computer. while it is booting (first starting up) tap the "F8 key" continuously until you get the start up menu. when you have this up on the screen use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode then click Enter then just log in, open up your trash and delete the file after deleting your file restart your computer again.

There is also a way to delete files by using dos im not totally sure how tho this site might help http://www.computerhope.com/delhlp.htm

Photoshop CS6 won't let me import .mkv file?

I was trying to make some GIFs, which I have done before using .mkv files. I've never had any trouble with it. But now, when I go into File >> Import >> Video Frames to Layers, all I get is an error message telling me that the file cannot be opened. There is nothing wrong with the file, it's working perfectly on all of the video players I have on my computer (I'm using a Mac)
I've literally spent hours looking for different ways to get around this. I've tried looking for a new file to download, sadly there aren't anymore of this particular video. I tried converting it to .avi, without any luck.
Any suggestions?
