What can you do if your dog is being attacked by another dog?
My dog was attacked and killed by another dog. She was 13 years old and gentle as a lamb. When it happened, I was totally shocked. Didn't know what to do. I had another smaller dog with me also. The owner came and grabbed his dog, and I cursed him up one side and down the other. My dog died of a stroke a couple days later from the head injuries. I was traumatized for years after that, but continued to walk my two remaining dogs. We encountered many loose dogs. Pepper spray, even bear spray, doesn't always work. For whatever reason, some dogs don't seem to be bothered by it! Bizarre. What I found worked, was to yell “NO! NO! NO!” in the loudest, lowest pitched voice repeatedly. Also, as previously mentioned, place your dog behind you out of reach of the charging dog. Most dogs know what “No” means, and most dogs won't tangle with a human. I now carry protection, but wouldn't use it unless the attack is serious enough to warrant taking the other dog’s life. And yes it entirely the owners fault. Sadly, these owners have very low intelligence and bungle through life like a bull in a china closet.

If the pup was a newborn, but it had been born with a deformity that could make walking a chore, and in the wild, mobility was of number one importance to a herd. If a member got injured or too old, it would give itself up to the rest of the herd for voluntary termination. If it’s a newborn, the parent is expected to clean it from the group so it doesn’t hold them back.
What would you do if your dog attacked and almost killed another dog?
It is sad, but the only thing to do, that you really must do, is to put your dog down. Sorry, but you have an ethical responsibility in this situation. If you cannot guarantee that your dog will NEVER be in a position to cause that sort of harm ever again, you must euthanize the poor animal. If your dog ever got away again, and attacked another dog, and a five year old child was by that dog walking with his patents, and in your dog's excited and dangerous state of being that child was attacked and tragically killed (would only take one quick accidental slash from your dog's teeth), how would you feel? Would you consider yourself to blame for the harm your dog caused, especially since you knew already what your dog is capable of? You would feel terrible, I would think, and you would be right to feel terrible. Morally you would be responsible for that child's death. If I were a prosecutor and I knew that your dog had already nearly killed another dog, I would try you for negligent homicide. Any further harm your dog might cause is an act of criminal negligence on your part from here on out, not to mention a moral responsibility you alone (not the dog) must carry.
My dog got attacked by 2 other dogs and he is limping now. What should I do?
Here's what happened: I got home and a show I wanted to watch was about to come on so I opened the door and let my 2 dogs out into the yard and changed the channel and went back outside. (changing the channel took about 30 sec not even kidding) My dogs were at the corner of my yard(still inside my property) and these two dogs (one I recongized lives about 2 houses down, I couldn't see the other one was dark colored)were sniffing sparky and jessy so i started over there and I while i was walking they started fighting so i ran over there and threw the remote from my tv at them (i still had in my hand from changing the channel) but i missed. When I got close I kicked the dog that was on top of sparky and he didn't seem to notice but when I tried to kick him again he moved out of the way then sparky got up and the dog acted like he was gonna attack me thats when Jessy and Sparky got in the middle of it again I started screaming at the dog it backed up and sparky started walking away Jessy wanted to keep near me and protect me, I finally put them back inside and Sparky wasn't limping but this morning he wouldn't get out of his bed and when I got home from school he wouldn't even put pressure on it. I plan on taking him to the vet tommorow if he isn't better. I was trying to look up the laws because I would like to sue if he is seriously injured, but I can't find anything. I don't know where to look. If anyone would help me I would be really grateful. I just didn't know if because my dogs weren't on a leash even though they were on my property. If i could do anything at all.
I had a dream that my dog was attacked by other dogs, what does it mean?
I was in my home town that I left 15 years ago and I was walking on the sidewalk with my German Shepherd when suddenly we were in front of that motorcycle store that I remembered when I used to live in that village that they had a few Dobermans to watch the place. So my dog all of sudden runs away from me towards them and all I can hear in dogs growling and barking. I don’t know why, but I ran towards my house and ended up on my street in a room where there was a man that I don’t remember what he looked like with two chiwawas. I was saying Bear (that’s my dog’s name) is being attacked I have to go get him, I was in a panic, the man said nothing, the chiwawas were happy to see me but also in my way as I wanted to go back to my dog. As I was getting out I said Bear is right next to me, he was happy, wagging his tail and looking at me almost like he was smiling. Everything was going so fast in my head; I was saying Bear is dead. I finally got out of that room and got back to where Bear was and someone had put him on a bench, he had no more legs, his inside were eaten. A man came out of the house beside that store, wiping his hands and that man just looked at me, never seen him before either. I looked at my dog and he lifted his head, he wasn’t dead and then I woke up. What does it mean?
Dog attacked my dog will she remember?
Went for a lovely walk with my dog today and we were walking past a play area my dog was on the lead and out of nowhere a jack russell type dog broke free from his collar and started barking and jumping all over my dog it did not bite enough to break the skin but it was horrible as the owner could not get it off. My dog just lay there and was very frightened as was I. I am afraid I froze as I thought it would bite me. I wish now I had done more. The owner just said sorry. I am so cross now. Will this have a lasting affect on my dog and will she be troubled in any way.

Dude.. Im Only in The 7th Grade. Whatever Happens While Im At School Is Beyond My Reach. He May Be My Responsibilty But Somtimes Its Hard To Be A Babysitter to Not Only A 2 Yr Old N a 3 Yr Old But To Two Dogs And Six Puppies?? He Doesnt Run Around Everyday, ANd Hes NOT INfected With ANything, I Know That For Sure Via The Vet, And I Keep Him On A Chain But Our Screen Door Has No Latch, And He Runs Right Out Of It And Off He Goes, I Said He Runs To Fast To Catch So All I Can Do Is Frantically Yell "DEMON, COME HOME" But That Doesnt Do ANything If Hes On THe Trail oF Something.
