18 year old male with a 55 resting heart rate normal?

I am an 18 year old male, 6'1, but only 125 lbs. I get worried sometimes because I notice that my resting heart rate will randomly go down to 55. I've noticed this happen about 3-4 times, so not very often which is what scares me. I figure this is normal for somebody who exercises, but I never exercise, I mean never. I am the weight I am because of a very high metabolism, and I know I am out of shape because of my poor diet and I tire very easily when I exercise. From my research it seems that this heart rate is normal for people the opposite of my description. Can anybody explain these random drops in heart rate?

Resting heart rate of 17 year old is 118 bpm?

Hi. I'm a 17 year old girl and I took my heart rate when I was relaxing at home and its 118bpm. I took it several times in periods of rest after that and my heart rate averged around 120 bpm. I've been under a lot of stress lately because of school. At times when I feel exeptionally stressed I can feel my heart racing and I also have trouble breathing. Are these panic attacks? And what should I do to solve this problem? Thanks
I also have a normal weight/BP

I am 15 years old with a 55 bpm resting heart rate. Is that bad?

Nah that's fine. A heart rate of 55 means your heart is in good condition. If you weren't physically fit, then it would be a problem. A heart rate in a inactive person should not be below 60. People who are fit, should not have a heart rate below 40, unless you are an extreme fitness freak. I am 15 and my heart likes the 40s. I thought at one point I caught it at 38. That worried me because a heart rate should NOT be that low. it's only when you have a heart rate BELOW 40 that you should see a doctor. But it's 55 so your heart is good. you stated that you go to the gym so it's not a problem. Don't be worried, its normal. Although I am 15 and I cannot medically diagnose, cardiology is my dream. I have read enough to know that a fit person can have that low of a heart rate so….stay fit! :)

IS IT NORMAL FOR A HEART TO BEAT 120-150 BPM WHILE RESTING?

What is a good, healthy resting heart rate
Your resting heart rate is how many times your heart beats per minute. The measurement should be taken when you are laying down and breathing normally and most health professionals say it is best to check it in the morning after a good nights sleep.

The heart rate is often used as a measure of a persons physically fitness and as such it is good to measure it now and again.

A resting heart rate for women is considered “normal” if it is between about 70-80 beats per minute. However, I would advise that those reading Real Women’s Fitness should have a much better resting heart rate than that! After all, we are hardcore athletes!

My resting heart rate is about 47-50 beats per minute.

27 year old female with resting heart rate of 110 bpm.?

Normal heart rate is 50 to 100, but sometimes heart rates can fall slightly outside of this range and still be normal for the person. Heart rate varies from person to person and also fluctuates during the day. Reasons for a high heart rate include pain, anxiety, fever, dehydration, thyroid disease and anemia. Sometimes a fast heart rate is secondary to an abnormal heart rhythm, such as atrial fibrillation or supraventricular tachycardia and this can be detected with EKG. Since you have an infected wisdom tooth, fever and pain are possible causes. If this is the case, then your heart rate should improve once your infection improves and/or your pain is controlled. A heart rate of 110 for a period of time is unlikely to lead to any long-term problems and is not a sign of an underlying heart condition. It is not related to your grandmother's heart failure and does not put you at increased risk for heart failure. Rarely if the heart rate is high for a long period of time this can lead to a type of heart failure, but this is unlikely in your case.

To help slow your heart rate avoid caffeine, nicotine and illegal drugs. Make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration. See your doctor if it persists to be tested for secondary causes like thyroid disease or anemia. Some medications can also increase heart rate, such as Benadryl. If anxiety is an issue, try to find stress relieving exercises. If your symptoms persist or if you develop shortness of breath, chest pain or swelling in your legs then let your doctor know right away. See the Cardiologist as scheduled and try your best to relax. Good luck.

What's a normal heart bpm for a 15 year old boy?

Well a normal Rhr( resting heart rate) would be 60–100 bpm however athletes go as low as 40 bpm. But if you do 220 - your age (15) = 205 then you get the aerobic and anaerobic thresholds. You will get an aerobic hr of 123–164. This means when doing sports while breathing for example jogging you should have a hr of 123–164bpm. You will also get an anaerobic hr of 144–185 bpm meaning when doing exercise without breathing for example 100m sprint you should have a hr of 144–185 bpm
