My Scoreboard Is Only Showing Results Of My Baseball Teams And Not My Football Teams. How Do I Fix

I cannot get My Teams to show up on the Scoreboard section of My Yahoo. What I am doing wrong?

Hey there,

Are you selecting the "My Teams" drop-down menu located at the top-right of the module? Please update your questions with some additional information (your favorite teams, missing teams, any non-favorite teams listed in the module, etc.) and I'll be happy to further investigate for you.

Thanks.

Which position in basketball (NBA) scores the most points?

Are you guys stupid and I mean to people who just post Point guard or Forward. Every player has a chance to score the most points depending on the team. For example Lakers, Kobe is the leading scorer and his a guard. Look at Timberwolves and Kevin Garnnet. Is Kevin Garnnet a point guard? NO. It depends on the team and what the coach wants.

How long does a baseball game last?

Unlike most sports, baseball has no clock. Most games last nine innings. But in the event of a tie score after nine innings, the teams continue to play until someone wins. In 1984, the White Sox took 25 innings to beat the Brewers. In some circumstances (usually due heavy rain), an official game can be as short as four and a half innings, assuming the home team has the lead at the time the game is declared over.Baseball is famous for keeping amounts of statistics on everything associated with the sport, so we can easily see how many hours and minutes games take to complete. When my dad was a kid (1930s), the average major league game was right around two hours. The average 9-inning games was 2:04 hours in 1937.When I was a kid (1960s), the average game had crept up to about 2 and a half hours. The average 9-inning game was 2:32 hours in 1967.By 1997, an average 9-inning MLB game took 2:52 hours to complete.2017 was the last full season played at the time this answer was written. The average 9-inning game took more than three hours to complete (3:05 hours). MLB games in 2016 averaged exactly three hours, and through May 2018, games are also averaging 3:00 hours.

Do they always kick the extra point in college football overtimes?

In the game tonight Navy kicked a field goal in the overtime to go up by three points. Pittsburgh failed to score going for the touchdown. If they had scored they would have won the game by three points-do they kick the extra point, which would be meaningless to the final outcome, but very important to the pointspread which was three?

In baseball,What does it mean when they say, "He struck out the side"?

Every out of the innings was on strikeouts. Of course, the team could have batted around and scored 6 runs, but if all three outs were on strikeouts, the pitcher struck out the side.

Which team's score do you announce first, home or away?

I believe I was told that you announce your own team's score first, assuming you are ON the team (like in volleyball or tennis). But what if a friend asks the score of the game? Do you say the home team's score first followed by the away? Do you say higher score to lower score, and just clarify who is winning? Do you say away-home? I think I was also under the impression that if you are rooting for a particular team, you say their score first, but I suppose that would be trumped by announcing home or away team first. Thanks!

If two teams have equal probability of winning a game, what is the probability that they go to game 7?

Here are the probabilities of different lengths for a 7-game series.4 Games: 12.5%5 Games: 25%6 Games: 31.25%7 Games: 31.25%For those who are interested, here's an explanation for this result.Lets binary strings represent playoff series. For instance, the 2013 NBA Finals could be represented as 0101011 where 0 indicates a Spurs win and 1 indicates a Heat win. We have [math]2^7 = 128[/math] possible strings. Now we just have to figure out how many strings result in a certain length of series. For a 4-game series, we know the string must begin with 0000 or 1111. What follows that is irrelevant. For instance, 0000101 and 1111111 both represent 4-game series (we just don't play out the 5th, 6th and 7th games). The number of 4-game series is as follows: 2 choices for games 1-4 (0000 or 1111) x 2 choices for game 5 (we don't care who wins) x 2 for game 6 x 2 for game 7 [math]= 2^4 = 16[/math]So the probability of a 4-game series is [math]\frac{16}{128} = \frac{1}{8} = 0.125[/math]For a 7-game series, we know that it can't be 4-0 after 4 games. We can have either a 3-1 or 2-2 series. For 3-1, the team that is down must win exactly one of the first 4 games, giving us [math]4*2 = 8[/math] ways to have a 3-1 series. After that, if the winning team wins another game, the series ends. This means that games 5 and 6 must be won by the team that is down in the series, and we have no freedom until game 7, which either team can win. This doubles the number of possible strings giving us [math]8*2 = 16[/math].We know there are [math]4[/math] [math] choose[/math] [math] 2 = 6[/math] ways to have each team win 2 of the first 4 games. From 2-2, either team can win game 5. However, the team that lost game 5 must win game 6. Game 7 can go either way, so we have [math]6*2*1*2 = 24[/math] possible strings/series.When we add all of these up, we get [math]16+24 = 40[/math] ways to have a seven game series. [math]\frac{40}{128} = \frac{5}{16} = .3125[/math]A much simpler way to compute the probability of game 7 is to simply find the odds of a 3-3 series as [math]\frac{6 choose 3}{2^6} = \frac{20}{64} = \frac{5}{16} = .3125[/math]

Why are soccer goalies screaming at everyone after the opponent scores a goal on them? Does this strategy make a difference?

Usually, a conceded goal is a result of a hole somewhere in the team’s defending system that is successfully exploited by the opponent. Goalies scream their teammates to regain focus to everyone, so that they can defend better next time. Some other times, goalies do this to boost the courage of the team to make a come back. Look at how Manchester United’s Peter Schmeichel did in the 1999 Champions League final against Bayern Munich and you will see what I mean.If the goal is the goalie’s fault only, he screams to let his teammates know that this will not happen again, and give his teammates some strength to fix his error for him.I will not exclude the case that sometimes the goalie is just a jackass who blames everyone with his big mouth no matter what. But luckily I haven’t had to play with these guys behind my back :)
