My Tattoo Has Black Shadow Around It

Dark shadow after rubbing away my black Henna Tattoo?

Hello all,

I rubbed away the black hennah tattoo with a rough sponge, soap and bathroom cleaner and it worked very well after about 10 - 20 minutes (it was on my skin for about 24hours only).
But there is still kind of a dark shadow on the area where the tattoo used to be.
Now, I am afraid, that a little bit of the ink went even deeper into the skin, due to rubbing - is this possible!?
If not, what happened!?!?
Please help me to find an answer!!!

Thanks and regards to all of you.

Will the sun fade out a blue blow out shadow around my tattoo if i get a REALLY dark tan?

oh dear.. please dont do that. tanning is like a death wish for a tattoo.
all you will do is fade it and make it bleed out more. you'd be damaging your skin so it wont be able to hold the ink as well so it ends up moving. which is exactly what you dont want.

get a touchup. seriously. its free and most artists can fix a blow out easily.

After I get a tattoo, what happens when my arm hair grows back? Is it bad? Do I need to keep shaving?

No it just itches for a few days

My tattoo looks like it has a shadow..?

That's pretty common for a healing tattoo, don't pay attention to what it looks like for another couple of weeks, they do all sort of weird things while they're healing. I've had tattoos get that shadow line around it and end up looking as crisp as anything. So don't worry too much. But if after 2 or 3 more weeks the shadow is still there, it is probably there to stay unfortunately. This is known as a blow out - basically when the artist goes in too deep and the ink spreads. But just wait and see - it won't necessarily be there permanently!

Black and white tattoos vs. color tattoos?

Some colors will fade faster than others, but with regular touch ups, there shouldn't be a problem either way.

For me, it depends on the content of the tattoo as far as whether b&w or color is better. Some tattoos would look awful with any kind of color, like portraits or the like, while other tattoos look stupid without color. Get what you like!

My tattoo looks very dark?

Once the bruising goes away and it heels and peels...it will get VERY light. I got a tattoo less than a month ago and my shading is already light. There are still places where it still needs to lighten up, but it'll happen really fast. Before you know it, you'll be asking why it looks so faded. It happens with all tattoos. Don't worry about it.

If I recently got a new tattoo and it’s bruised around it badly, is that normal?

Yes.Depending on how long you sat for, how heavy handed your artist was and body placement. When I had my sleeve done, the area around my shoulder bruised as well as towards my inner bicep. Those are pretty sensitive areas and I’ve known a few people who have bruised up pretty bad on the inner bicep area.A few years back I was a human canvas on Ink Master. I got work done on my upper thigh and my artist worked on me for just about 6 hours straight, she also had a bit of a heavy hand. Not only was I bruised around the tattoo- my leg was swollen for a couple of days afterwards lol.So yes it is normal.

What is a gray wash tattoo?

Grey wash tattoo ink is comprised of varying degrees of grey/black inks that are used to create varying contrasts for a tattoo. This gray wash is used in black and grey style tattooing and other styles as well. It takes a fair amount of skill to properly fill out an outline with just the right amount of contrasts to create the same degree of depth as a pencil drawing.A full sleeve tattoo like these would take more than one session to finish. Most likely the pain will be unbearable as the skin is repeatedly pierced. Some tattoo artists, would recommend the use of lidocaine spray to lessen the pain and have a extended tattoo session.

What can you do if your tattoo ink is 'bleeding'?

I'm guessing by how you've phrased your question that you mean it's spreading out into the fatty tissue of your skin.. It can either look a bit like tiny little capillaries spidering out from the edge of the lines or more like a lighter black shadow spreading out…Either way, there's not much u can do about it.. I have seen it get lighter & disperse with time,, but that's if your lucky..You see there's certain parts of your body where you've got to be very gentle & use a very light touch or that's what happens..Without seeing it, I'll just give u a couple of ideas that may help… Firstly you could wait til its completely healed & get a tattooist to fatten up sum of the lines lightly so it covers the “bleed” & makes it look like its supposed to be like that…Or again,, depending what it is maybe u cld go see someone who does tattoo removals & ask if they can fix it.. But I have to tell you,, I don't know much about removing tattoos, so don't take it as gospel that they can fix it.. But I'd say if u can't thicken the lines, or disguise it any other way,, it'd be at least worth a consultation…Good luck
