My Usps Priority Package Hasnt Updated In 6 Days

USPS Priority mail package problem! Still no updates with track number?

Okay, so ive asked this before, but hear me out, its kinda a little odd.
I placed a order through amazon via 3rd party. The seller sent me a email though amazon saying my package had been shipped, that was sunday (15th) it even included a tracking number and all. Pretty normal.

The seller put the est. delivery date jan. 23rd-feb 7th! But the package is being sent priority mail? So i thought, alright.. itll probably get here sometime this week! That being said, i checked daily on the track and confirm- but nothing has changed! Still says this..

Class: Priority Mail®
Service(s): Signature Confirmation™
Status: Electronic Shipping Info Received

The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on January 15, 2012 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

So contacted USPS and they said they dont have the package, they only recieved info from the seller that they are sending the package.
Im so confused, i did email the seller about the problem. and i dont think they are trying to scam me, they have 100% feedback and are actually known for shipping items out quickly.. just not for me i guess..

any ideas?!

USPS hasn't updated tracking for my package in almost 4 days!?

USPS has always been good about scanning my package(s) when they arrive at a sort facility, etc. USPS does not just have delivery confirmation any more...you can track your packages and everywhere they have been, and it's always updated pretty good. I'm getting a package from PENN YAN, NY...and it left the ROCHESTER sorting facility on the 8th and hasn't even arrived to Anchorage yet...I live in Bush Alaska (Kipnuk) to be exact. And mail has always arrived in a timely manner. My scheduled delivery was for the 10th, and I'm not even seeing ANY updated information. There is no way my package has been traveling for 3 days just to Anchorage. It's FIRST CLASS mail / Priority, so there is no way it has taken this long to arrive in Anchorage when another package only took 1.5 days to get there from a location even further than NY. Please help, does anybody know if the USPS even scans all mail that comes through sort facilities or is it hit and miss?

Tracking for USPS Priority Mail not updating?

Priority mail could take up to 3/4 business days, not 2.

How long does a USPS priority package take from Greensboro NC to Atlanta GA?

USPS Priority Mail averages a 2-3 day transit time. Priority Mail is delivered in that timeframe 96% of the time. There must be some circumstance if it is consistently taking longer than that. It is not normal to have every package sent to take longer than 2-3 days.

This wouldn't happen to be going to a Military base, or a large business, would it?

As for any Delivery Confirmation information, it should be scanned at delivery. If it is not, then that is another problem that needs to be addressed.

My recommendation is to always use Delivery Confirmation and to keep your own records of delivery times. Once you have 3 or 4, and it is consistently showing very long delivery times, contact the Consumer Affairs office for the District in which you live.

Package stuck at usps facility?

You need to contact the Post Office. The package may have become damaged and the address is illegible or was torn off. It is probably sitting at the P.O. waiting for you to call and describe it so that they can deliver it to you. This happens quite often. Many people will complain that their package was "lost" by the P.O., when the package is sitting there with a smudged address, ripped address, illegible address, broken bottles of liquid inside due to improper packaging and the package is destroyed... etc. Believe you me, there is a pile by every supervisor's desk just waiting on a phone call.

Usps package stuck on "acceptance" for 4 days?

It means the shipper printed a shipping label with a USPS bar code. When the post office has the package and scans the bar code at each sorting facility along its journey to your address, you'll be able to see where it has been. Packages may be routed through multiple "sorting facilities" before they actually arrive at your local post office or "delivery unit." If the "arrival at unit" scan is made at your local post office before 6:00am, there is a good chance your delivery will be attempted that day. If the arrival scan is after 6:00am, delivery would likely be attempted the next day because the clerks wouldn't have time to sort the packages before the carriers leave to make their deliveries that day. After 6am, the clerks usually start processing letter mail, flats and accountable mail.

USPS has been closing processing facility over the last few years which has been causing many of the delays. In reality, First Class and Priority Mail are now a 2-5 day service at best.
