Bonucci was part of a serie A defence that only leaked 19 goals, the best defence in the world at the time. Of course he needed the help of world class defenders like Chiellini, Barzagli, and Vidal... but he's still a better defender than Sergio Ramos for me.

Considering goals scored by head and not aerial duels won with the head, I think Griezmann, Ronaldo and Ramos are currently the greatest headers of the football.Ronaldo has a very impressive physique and has an ever bigger leap than a basketball player to head the ball in the back of the net.He is impressive from corners,though he has scored very few of them for the past 2 years. But when he scores headers people remember, recall the header against United in the Champions League 3 years back when he was almost above Evra’s shoulder to nod in.Sergio Ramos is a great header of the ball as well as he ghosts in at set pieces and corners and scores powerful headers.His headers are generally hard to stop by, and he has a very good knack of being in the right place at the right time at set-pieces.I was most surprised with Griezmann scoring so many headers last season, being so diminutive he scored a lot of headers and he gracefully guides the ball in to the back of the net rather than scoring powerful headers.For me recently Griezmann is a better header of the ball , but Ronaldo is the best at scoring headers should he get a chance.

Sergio Ramos!As many over here have taken the his name, we know he truly is the best at the moment and was second best to only Puyol from many years.I remember him being the first defender I transfered every time I started the Fifa manager mode starting from FIFA 07 . His ability reached as high as 98 if remember correctly. Not many players have stood up the hype by the game which is a childhood for most.Coming back to the topic, Ramos is an all round defender. Can play at any position in defence or even a holding midfield role. He is very good on the ball for a defender, very good passer, has a calm mind while passing out of defence, is very pace, tactically sound, can read the game well, very aggressive, and one of the best headers of the game. He started as a right back along side veterans Cannavaro and Roberto Carlos. He learned a lot from them Casilas.All in all Ramos is the current best defender in the La Liga.
