Need Help For Greggs Job

First ever job interview at greggs help?

All those issues. I hate Dan Snyder, besides the undeniable fact that i like the Redskins. Gregg Williams became into to blame for turning the Washington protection into this variety of robust protection by the years and you'd be able to work out he's turning the Saints' D around now. What a loss. the only advantageous component approximately Snyder is that he does flow out and get some stable gamers, yet he overpays them and it under no circumstances works out. i think of this may be a powerful year, yet i desire Dan Snyder's tenure is over quickly.

Quitting my job at Greggs?

Hi there,

I've been working at Greggs for a month now and I'm still in training. I'll be honest, the staff are alright and the job is okay but just not for me. I have another evening job anyway and I've already managed to get a new job but how do I go around quitting my job at Greggs?

Should I hand in a notice? Call the shop up and ask to talk to my manager/assistant manager? I find her kind of alarming if I'm honest.. Am I allowed to quit while in training?

Job Interview at Greggs problem?

If they were interested in you they will call you when they have decided, they have lots to interview and wont appreciate you calling them. Sorry but that is how life is and if you have been to the Returning to work interviews with the job centre they tell you not to call them back, last year i applied for over 9000 jobs and got 3 interviews and never heard from any of them and the other jobs i applied for i got 2 replies telling me there was a high number of applicants. I have a list of qualifications and over 25 years experience and most of the basic jobs go to the person with the highest uni degree, Good luck

Why would you like to work for Greggs?

because i luuurve the chocolate and custard doughnuts. but obviously you can't say that. so say something like:

'i would like to work for greggs because baking has always interested me since a young age, i am very hygienic and i would be a great help to everyone. i think it would be a great way for me to work hard but at the same time experience a great social job.'

Greggs manager/supervisor Is being a pain Help?

FLexible schedu;ling is an ear-mark of these "big box" stores, including stores like Walmart, Costco, etc. If youw ant a set, by-the-clock schedule, yoi d NOT want to work here!

SO, your "weird" scheduling is something yo will need to put up with. Getting a permanent, fixed schedule is for offic work and shift-workers, NOT retail!

As far as when (or if) the ti,mes are published:
"But I never look at the week times"
THAT is YOUR fault. You MUST look at the week times, if for no other reason than to find out there has been a "mistake" made. You should have seen this and tried to correct is BEFORE this. As is often head in a court of law: "Ignorance of the law is not a defense."

Mote that OVERTIME counts ONLY if you work MORE THAN 40 hours a week. Since you think you are working "weekends only" you will NOT get 40 hours doing this, and any time you work during the week is NOT considered overtime. Sorry -- that's Federal Law. You literally need "an act of Congress" to change that.

If you gave them your weekend availability only situation, then they SHOULD honor that, but most of these people are NOT well-trained (another problem with Big Box retail), so YOU have to keep reminding them, and you MUST point out scheduling problems AS SOON AS YOU CAN, so that you NEVER have an unexcused absence because YOU didn't look at the weekly schedule.

But ALSO consider that your child is NOT an excuse for missing work, and if this become an issue, you CAN be fired for poor job performance. MAKE ARRANGEMENTS AHEAD OF TIME for a babysitter for your child, AS WELL AS a reliable emergency contact in case the baby get sick when youa re at work.

BEST advise:
Find a differemnt job that has FIXED scheduling hours

Working at Greggs the bakers help?

Hi,
Just wanting to know if people have worked at Greggs before and what your views are on working there.
I'm currently working at Greggs I have only been working there a few week and I'm not enjoying it, I find that they havn't trained me properly, having put me on the till a few weeks ago on my second day. They get other memebers of staff to teach me things rather than the shop manager show me things and then she has a go at me for not knowing things, even though i'm on my third week (baring in mind I only work on saturdays for now) I'm really struggling with it at the moment and even though I'm on my third week I really dislike it. To top it off I keep doing things wrong and an incident happened with the till which resulted in us loosing a customer because I took too long by getting the manager to sort the till out.. which then got me into to trouble because she had a go at me saying i should explain things properly to her and that instead of waiting to put the drink through the till I should have given her the drink for free? :\
any advice? thanks

I have an interview at greggs and require a little help please?

I had an interview last saturday and they get you to do a quick EASY math problem sheet, just incase their tills break, and then they start the interview.
They are reading off a sheet that they fill in when you answer, and i cant remember for sure, but i know they asked me:

For my birth certificate, a copy and national insurance numer and a copy.
They ask you

WHY YOU WANT TO WORK FOR GREGGS: Good reputation, friendly faces, you want to be part of that, Great food, high standard of cleanliness etc etc

Have you ever worked in a team? Give an example?: i talked about my media studies class, we have to work togethe to make a movie, she then asked me 'what happens if you dont complete the task for the certain date?' and i said that i would probably fail the course, so it makes me strive to complete it.

Do you have a problem with cleaning floors? : No, i love to clean :)

What sort of tasks do you expect that you would have to do?
What sort of tasks could you do, without asking me( the manager) for help?
Both of these questions are similar, and are asked at different times but i basically answered the same with: Cleaning, serving custmers, helping, stacking juice cold food etc

Would you treat customers differently ie an eldery person and a school person ?
(this question is worded differetnly in the interview, and i completely embarassed myself, but she told me what she ment: You would chat with the eldery person, show a friendly face, and be patient, whilst with the school children they want their food and in and out, so they would want to not chat, so you would serve them and move on, but still show friendly face.

I think she asked a little bit about my previous sales assistant job, but not much.

She didnt aactually ask me about hygiene but she might, so be prepared.

She didnt ask me where do i want to be in x years, but i think your answer sounds great, and say your try your hardest.

She asked what skills you have, i think: fast learner, good at maths etc

Thats all i can remember, but i was wayyy too nervous before hand for no reason, the interview is relaxed and short!

And i got the job, start on saturday :D:D

Good luck

I need help on my resume. I have nothing to show for. What should I do?

You include your education and the jobs you have worked at even though it was for your parents. Honors and titles aren’t particularly important. How you describe what you have learned and the experience you have gained counts the most. The keywords are “transferrable skills”.Ingrid Halvorsen's answer to How do I get experience if I need experience to get experience? In the above answer I’ve listed some very important books for you to read. They will probably transform the way you conduct your job search. Read them, do the exercises and go forth to success.
