Need Help With Hamlet Project

Need help with hamlet project please!?

This is the assignment.
Imagine that you have been chosen to direct the play Hamlet. As director, it is your privilege to fill the roles. For each main character in the play and several of the minor characters, you will choose an actor to fill the role. You will then explain how previous roles in movies or shows have prepared the individual to fill this role. Be very specific so that your teacher can not only tell that you have read and understood Hamlet, but also that you know your cast very well.
You can also choose to fill your cast with characters from a book, movie, or TV show that you have read or seen. In that case, you will use the experiences of that character in the book, movie or show to demonstrate how he/she is prepared to fill the role. Again, be very specific so that your teacher can not only tell that you have read and understood Hamlet, but also that you know your cast very well.
For each of the main characters, write a brief paragraph (about 90 words) telling who will play the role and why that actor or character is qualified. For each of the supporting characters, write a shorter paragraph (about 75 words). Pick any two of the minor characters and write one paragraph about the two of them (about 60 words).
Main Characters:Hamlet Claudius Gertrude
Supporting roles:Polonius Horatio Ophelia Laertes
Minor characters:Fortinbras the ghost Rosencrantz and Guildenstern
I dont know what modern actors to choose please help me please thank you. I

I need ideas for this Hamlet project.?

"Dance with My Father" by Luther Vandross talks about missing a dead father.
"I Always Feel Like Somebody's Watching Me" fits because several characters spy on Hamlet.
"I Can't Make You Love Me" might be a good song for Ophelia, who loves Hamlet but he pretends not to love her.
"Coming in the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins has the lines "you can wipe off that grin. I know where you've been. It's all been a pack of lies." could refer to Hamlet's thoughts about his uncle.

Those should get you off to a start.

Need help with Epitaphs in Hamlet!?

One thought is to find 4 things said about the deceased by some other character. Like a tombstone might say, "Loving Wife, Tender mother, devoted friend, Beloved sister", right?

You could make it sort of funny by stringing together different lines or thoughts. For example, for King Hamlet:
"Our most valiant brother. So much for him."

(1.2.25) The first part of the line is talking about the dead king and the second part about Fortinbras, but when strung together, they actually tell us how Claudius might be feeling.

The last one for King Hamlet could be,
"'Tis here! 'Tis here! 'Tis gone!"

For Claudius, you could start with
A little more than kin and less than kind. (1.2.65)

Remember, anything that a character in Shakespeare says about another character is true.

I hope this helps.

I need help with "Hamlet", please help me?

OPHELIA

Of all the pivotal characters in Hamlet, Ophelia is the most static and one-dimensional. She has the potential to become a tragic heroine -- to overcome the adversities inflicted upon her -- but she instead crumbles into insanity, becoming merely tragic. This is because Ophelia herself is not as important as her representation of the dual nature of women in the play. Ophelia's distinct purpose is to show at once Hamlet's warped view of women as callous sexual predators, and the innocence and virtue of women. More…

Ophelia Character Analysis

Ophelia, a beautiful young woman, is the young daughter of Polonius, the sister of Laertes, and Hamlet's love interest. In the play, Ophelia is caught between her obedience to her father and her love for Hamlet, which has tragic consequences.

Being a "Good" Girl

Ophelia is the quintessential obedient daughter, a role demanded of all young women in the late 16th and early 17th centuries. When her father orders her to quit seeing Hamlet, she complies – "I shall obey my Lord" (1.4.10). Later, when Polonius uses her as bait to spy on Hamlet for King Claudius, she has no choice but to do as she's told (3.1.4). As long as she's unmarried, she must live by her father's rules. (Of course, if she were to marry, she'd then have to live by her husband's rules.) Essentially, Ophelia has no control over her body, her relationships, or her choices. More…

Hamlet creative project ideas?

I need to do a creative project for my honors British Lit class. Any ideas?

I was thinking maybe to create a model of hamlets brain and what it contains but I'm not sure how

Creative project on hamlet?

I have an english assignment: hamlet's worldview, it can be anything other than an essay
it is important that "the medium is the message" (the way in which i present/ make it should be as important as its content)

examples form past students: a puzzle: each puzzle piece has some aspect of hamlet's life, pieces such as one labeled "lies" is taken out of rest of puzzle becasue hamlet can see when others [i.e. rozencrantz and guildenstern] lie to him. another example is a diorama, where on each wall is some aspect important to hamlets life :women, revenge, his father, etc. and there is a tiny lego piece staring up at the walls, to show that he is overwhelmed by everyhting in his life (do you understand how the "medium" [way in which proj. is presented] "is" the message [i.e diorama is showing hamlet being overwhelmed, it wasnt just chosen because the student wanted to make a diorama]

now, so far i have one idea of what i will do:
1- i could make a "video game" of hamlet: i would have a few (3) pictures of the "video ame" in different stages of the story, and each stage would have a controller next to it. the first stage would have a controller with lots of buttons, the last one would have one with barely any (this would show hamlets lack of control/ his potentially true madness near the end of the play] and details from the scenes could also hint to that and other aspects of his life

im really stuck. can anybody help me come up with something else to make my project? any suggestions on my idea?

i apologise for what must be a enormously long question, but i would really appreciate your help!

Need help with Hamlet project thats due friday! Please I aint to proud to beg!?

Hamlet acts crazy about Ophelia, which confuses her to the point where SHE goes insane and accidently kills herself

Shakespeare: Hamlet project : finding songs that have to do with each scene?

Hamlet's "to be or not to be" soliloquy could fall in line with "Nowhere Man" by the Beatles or Fade to Black by Metallica.

The beginning scene where Hamlet laments over his mother marrying Claudius could be like "Yesterday" by the Beatles

When Ophelia rejects Hamlet, "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" by The Rightous Brothers

When Hamlet or Laertes discovers it's Ophelia being buried, "Tears in Heaven"

For the last scene, Billy Joel's "Only the Good Die Young"
