Need New Xbox360 Friends

Adding Friends On Xbox 360?

okay I was just wondering do I need to have my xbox 360 hooked up to online to add friends?? I do have the silver membership which allows you to talk to friends and what not and I will be getting Gold soon but want to figure out Halo 3 before getting online with it. So my question really is can I add friends so I have there names on my system before I get into online games and getting online? or does it only work if I am online to add them. and also does anyone go online to play the last remnant and if so would you like to add me as a friend, as I know no one who plays that game online!! thanks a million!

Also is my XBOX account, the account I made online at xbox360.com with my email address?

XBox 360 vs. PS3. Right now I'm looking at both, all my friends are on XBox, but I'm also worried about the red ring of death. All the games I want are on both. Help?

The red ring of death (RROD) is attributable to hardware that has since been modified. If you were to buy an Xbox 360 today it is highly doubtful that you will experience the RROD.So now the question becomes what other functionality is important to you?Disclaimer:I do not own a PS3 and I am not a fanboy of Microsoft and I did have a Launch Xbox360 that did experience the RROD.All that said I think that even though there is a cost associated with Xbox Live, I believe that cost is well worth the money. The fact that MS has tighter control of their network ensures a better experience to the end user. Free is nice but you often get what you pay for. From what I have seen, the PS3 edges out the Xbox360 slightly regarding graphics on some games including cross platform games (ones available on both consoles). I am not a graphic 'whore' and so such differences do not weigh in for me as much as game play so for me, its a wash in this arena since game play is rarely affected by the graphical differences between versions.Additional consideration and deeper thought on the topic of cross platform Vs exclusivity should also be performed even though your question states the games you want are on both. I would bet that you could find an exclusive on either platform that could possibly sway your choice but in the end, these consoles have become so much more than a simple game console and a game franchise, while certainly important, is not the only consideration. The battle is on for an entertainment box in living rooms around the world and in my opinion, the game consoles have the leading edge. So, to answer your question, from my possibly biased POV, I would say go with the MS solution.

Why can't I send a friend request on Xbox 360?

I have been trying to become friends with a kid I used to know. I sent him a friend request and all it says is could not complete process, try again. Why is that. I tried sending one to some random to see if it worked and it did. But why not my friend. He told me his gamertag so I know what it is. It doesn't even say gamertag doesn't exist just could not Complete process try again. I disconnected my internet to see if that worked too but it didn't. It happened yesterday and I just tried again and it still won't work

Do I need Xbox Live to play online?

Yes. You need an Xbox live account to play online with other people and to play with friends. There are two levels.  A normal Xbox live account is silver. Xbox live silver is the first level. It's free and available to any Xbox user. It's the profile you made when you first got the console. The drawback of silver is that it won't allow you to go online or play online. You can talk with one friend in private chat, but you can't party (or group chat). You also can't play with said friend. Xbox live gold however allows all of this. It cost money though. I think it's about $60 (I may be wrong though). With gold you can play online, group chat, and play with friends. I have a silver mainly because I don't use Xbox all that often, I have used coupons for a free month of gold though. It was well worth it if you have other friends to play with and if you want to play online. Also if you intend on playing frequently. I actually kind of miss it.

Can I play online on GTA 5 if I have a PC, while my friends have a Xbox One?

The consoles are safer than PC, chances are you'll run smack dab into a PC hacker like Venom on gta online who can teleport you from anywhere on the map simply to kill you over and over or use other cheats to 1 shot kill everyone on the online map to get xp

Can we play xbox one vs xbox 360 online?

So long as that game still has active servers, yes. This was true of the Xbox 360 vs the original Xbox (The Duke, as they call it) as well. The backwards compatibility feature of the One essentially emulates the 360 entirely, which includes the online services.

Do you need gold memberships to play Minecraft on an Xbox?

No, you do not need to be a Xbox Live Gold member to play Minecraft of the Xbox 360 or the Xbox one.You do need to be a Xbox Live Gold member to play multiplayer as in host your own world with your friends or join one of your friends worlds. For split screen you do not need a gold membership but you do need a HD TV.

How do you set yourself to 'appear offline' on the new xbox 360 dashboard?
