I need some help pls!?

They are inverse functions of each other:   ln(e^x) = x   or   e^ln(x) = x
... so if   e^x = 9   then   x = ln(9)

Another example of inverse functions are the sine and arcsine functions:
  sin(30 degrees) = 0.5   and   arcsin(0.5) = 30 degrees.
... and comparing these inverse functions to the logarithmic examples above:
sin (  arcsin(0.5)  ) = 0.5

Note: Most people write  arcsin(x)   as   sin‾ ¹ (x)

Much of nature behaves in a logarithmic way.
To put a function in logarithmic form just take the log of each side of the equation.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Example of exponent properties:
A = e^x
B = e^y

       A • B  =  (e^x) • (e^y)  =  e^(x+y)

but in logarithmic form:
    ln(A • B)  =  ln [ (e^x) • (e^y) ]  =  ln(e^x) + ln(e^y)  =  x + y

then take the inverse log:
       A • B  =  e^(x+y)    ...    same answer

Note that the exponents ADD when in logarithmic form.

Exponential functions are non-linear functions.
That means that the rate of change or the slope of the tangent line to an
exponential equation varies over the domain of the function.
ONLY a linear function has a constant slope.

The scruffs - need some help, pls?

I just can't find artifact #19, the turban.
I asked my friends to help me search for it, but they can't find it, either.
do you have any idea where it might be? I've searched all 3 locations...
I'm really stuck, help me out!

I need some help pls?

say the speed of the child is X
the speed of the sidewalk is Y
Y - X = 45ft/9seconds = 45/9 ft/sec = 5 ft/sec
Y +X = 63ft/9seconds = 63/9 ft/sec = 7 ft/sec

solve either equation for X or Y, then substitute it into the other equation.

for the top equation you have Y-X=5, add X to both sides and you have Y=5+X
Substitute into the bottom equation: Y+X=7 : (5+X)+X=7 : 5+2X=7 : 2X=2 : X=1
then solve Y=5+X using this value for X, Y=5+1 : Y=6

CHEMISTRY TEST! IN NEED OF SOME HELP PLS..?

I dislike when people are rude in their answers on here, but I am concerned. I don't think you're lazy or want people to do your work for you, but for me a person's who's been in chem classes for years now, these are basic things that are simply shown in the book, and it is way more effective for you to learn this stuff so that you do well on tests and in the class. If you have a crappy textbook (& trust me I know how that can be!), then google and find results for significant figures, unit conversions, etc. there are many helpful, legitimate sites out there, that way you can really understand what you're doing and trust me, if you have a pen, paper, and calculator, youll be done in no time. :)

Thinking about military jobs - need some help, pls?

I am curious if I can join and what I can do. I have a BA in languages, but not the kind the army wants. French and Italian...

I have been told that I might be able to go in as an officer, but what sort of officer jobs are there? I am 33 yrs old at this time also, so I know nowt all branches hire after a certain age. In general, I am in good health - occasional allergies and that's about it. I had hepatitis A when I was a kid but that got cured when I was 6. To be honest, it could have even been misdiagnosed since in my country of origin doctors were pretty behind the times. I don't know that I should even mention it on the app. I had a back problem but I am fine now. It was sciatica and I found that the only thing that keeps me ok is exercise, which I hear you get plenty of in the army.

If any of you are officers or know about what possible jobs (MOS) I could try for, I'd appreciate any help you can give me. My main interest is to further my education and I've been told the army will pay my back student loans and I can participate in a program to save money for college. I'd really like to get my masters in English and teach once I'm out. I also think the army will teach me values that I can take with me to any job later on.

Thank you so much for your help
