New Job Crap Wage - Where Do You Drawn The Line

Working for Loomis general questions?

I am looking into a job as an armed service technician for Loomis. I was wondering if anyone out there could tell me about the job and if you like it. Also want to know what the starting hourly wage is.

What kind of jobs in India pay 1 crore per annum or more?

Ok, my friend is in HR and courtesy her, I get to see the salary of many people who have posted their profiles on naukri etc. Let me tell you, getting 1 cr is still a “BIG DEAL” in Indian job market. Very few cos. would pay you that level of salary. Here are some observations:Cos. like microsoft etc pay 75+L for principal data scientists etc., and most of these guys are PhD. Most of those PhDs are from sadakchap universities though, but still they have a PhD. They were lucky enough to not have cleared that coveted engineering admission, and thereby, settling for that BSc course, which eventually is giving them much higher return than those BTechs.Country heads in Directi etc get around 95LDerivative traders and sales people make a hell lot of money in many cases, but that is directly proportional to how much money you make for the company. I know some leaf level sales guys in my company who make upwards of 1MN USD p.a. But they would need to sell a hell lot to earn that much money.Any star employee in any discipline would earn a hell lot as you would understandWalmart Labs, Amazon etc pay 65–75L for employees with around 12 yrs of exp. Though they pay around 20L to freshers (the salary gets tapered as you grow higher, and it doesnt increase linearly)So basically I have seen many jobs where people get something between 60–90L, but getting a crore always is kind of deal. I am sure most of those getting 60–90L will have a big %age in joining bonus+shares, and that probably sums up to a crore or higher.lastly, I would say that doing an MS from IIT, IIIT, IISc or even a 2nd tier college/univ would give you much higher salary/income than to be doing the same crappy IT jobs for 10 yrs. So if you are trying to get into a higher salary bracket, try doing an MS to begin with. An MBA too is great, provided you can do it from Narsee monjee, JBajaj, MDI, XLRI, Some crappy IIM etc, if you are not in a category to clear the IIM A,B, C.Last note: 2 yrs of education after graduation is much better to have than 10 yrs of exp after graduation.

Quitting a job due to bullying, into the unemployment hole?

I have made the very hard decision to leave my current permanent employment as I have been the subject of bullying and unattainable demands.

This is not a decision I have made lightly, nor is it a last minute one.

I have put up with the bullying and ridiculous demands pretty much since I started 2 1/2 years ago, it started off as something I could cope with, until I was signed off for stress. I went back and nothing got better, I then took a promotion naively thinking that 1)the bully would back off if I was the same level and 2)I'd get something out of the job... silly me!!

I have since been stuck, just getting on with things and getting the job done, when asked why I don't speak to my boss my answer is simply that my boss is blind to what is going on and doesn't give a crap as long as the job gets done!! The final straw came today when I opened up about what was going on a lo & behold it was twisted around to make me look bad (a very common situation in our office).

Before anyone jumps to conclusions, I spoke to other team members who cannot see how it could be twisted... which says to me that I am not the problem nor the person causing the bad blood (the comment "is it any wonder when your treated like that" was made...)

So that's the background... I'm going to resign within the next few days and was just wondering whether anyone has any useful advice or tips on surviving without a job? I have a degree and a business idea... that's all!

I also have a supportive partner, so although belt tightening will be in order, we should be able to scrape by on one wage for a while.

Obviously I will be looking for a job, either part time (to work on my own business) or full time (and scrap my ideas) but I know how hard it can be getting a job when you're unemployed. I'm also quite new to this game as this was my first job out of uni 3 years ago :]

So any useful information, ideas, hints, tip and general advice would be great!!

How do I get a job in the "adult industries"?

Im a 19 year old female and desperately in need of a job. I'm highly interested in getting into the adult industries (yeah...porn). Sexual relations is something that I've been intrigued with for many years, and openly embrace. Although, I am NOT looking to be an actress. I would prefer something behind the scenes, such as clerical. Any suggestions on where I might find where to apply for such a position?

Can I still get a good job if I have bad grades in high school?

Yes! Nothing is impossible when it comes to building a life for yourself. I have a best friend who struggled in high school. She wasn't lazy or a slacker like most low B/C-average students: it was simply due to her brainpower. She constantly put effort into everything she did, yet it wasn't enough. She then realized that she just wasn't academically-sound. So, I helped her excel. I didn't force her to go above her current capabilities every time she tackled her homework: I taught her how to integrate what she already knows into her answers. I taught her how to write opinions well, analyze ideas and draw conclusions, etc.She kept working hard, and she graduated with a Visual Arts scholarship worth $2500 For Students Entering Art School. Her passion was art (she's still INSANELY superb at it). Two years after high school and she now intends to enroll in community college to pursue a Health career. Bottom line: what interests you? What career paths can utilize your skills/interests/talents? Go back to school if you want! Get a job! Work your way up the ladder and take your time. It's about connecting all the resources available to you and making them work to your advantage.

Is it worth staying in a stable job which you hate? Don't we only have one life after all, and should we waste it like that?

Let me answer the second part of your question first.Yes, we have one life. Or so I’ve been told. And no, we should not waste it. Absolutely not! Now, the first part of your question…is it worth staying in a stable job which you hate?If I were you, I would not stay in the job I hate. But, before I leave, I would make sure that…I have a plan. I know what I want to do next or what I want to try my hand at. I’ll make sure I’ve updated my CV, created a portfolio and even scheduled some meetings/interviews before I quit.I have the money to cover me for the next few months (3–6 months at the least) until I start making enough money from my next job/venture.I won’t have to rely on my friends and family for any financial support. Quitting my job is my decision and what I do next is my problem, I don’t want them to bear the brunt of this, no matter how much they insist.I’m willing to take up a side job if required. If I decide to develop a new skill or start a new business venture, it may take some time before things get rolling. We all have different priorities in life and for me, it is extremely important to enjoy my work. If that doesn’t happen, it doesn’t make any sense for me to continue it.But, this may or may not be your priority. And therefore, before taking any decision, you should take into account what you want from your professional life, what your priorities are.All the best!

I'm a 22 year old female thinking of joining the military and looking for advice.?

If you join now, don't have a degree/officer designation, you are going straight to Iraq and what you want doesn't mean a whole lot ... and your recruiter will lie to you about it and tell you you'll have a nice stateside office job and right after you sign ... off to Iraq you go.

The above is no joke.

So don't join if you don't want to go to Iraq.

Also, go google dead U.S. soldiers, female, photos ... Bush has been an equal opportunity cannon fodderist, he doesn't care if it's our men or our women getting splattered all over the place for Exxon.
