No Service Through Fido

Any cell phone service in Chisasibi, Quebec?

i am moving to northern quebec and my fido phone will work there which is part of rogers ...

Can you findt he answer for this riddle-Dog tied?

fido the dog is tied to a tree with a 10 foot length of rope, he wants to get to his doggie bowl,
wich is 15 feet away,
so fido trots over and start eating,
there are no tricks-the rope din't break and the tree didn't bend, nothing of that sort,
so how did fido do it.

How to find the owner of unlisted FIDO phone number?

Sorry, I don't know how to reply here.
Anyway, i'm not trying to contact her.
But if I accuse him on cheating with just phone number, it will be stupid. I need name at least.
Also, I have 2 kids, so I cannot leave right now - I have no savings, but I have full time job with good salary. i'm going to see the lawyer tomorrow to find out what to do with hous, car and his business' debts (don't wanna pay for this).

I live in canada, can i purchace a sidekick 3?

No Canada does not have T-Mobile.

They used to call Sidekicks, Hiptops and they could be purchased through fido. They No longer sell Hiptops in Canada. I would contact Fido to see if they could give you a hiptop plan before buying a sidekick 3 or a hiptop3.

And thats not the newest Sidekick the newest is sidekick LX is.

if your in Windsor you might be close enough to Detroit? you could maybe cross over and purchase one and a plan? but that Would be pointless cause anyone who called you it would be long distance.

Who ever says that sidekicks Can be unlocked doesn't know what they are talking about. SIDEKICKS CAN NOT BE UNLOCKED.

Suing Fido, Rogers or Expedia in small claims court?

I noticed something disgusting with many large corporation in Canada; they are manipulative theives especially the telecoms and cable companies notably the Big 3 - Rogers, Fido, Telus etc; i know Fido is owned by Rogers. Anyway I got a manipulated bill. I wont let it get to collections. I want to first sue them for intent to defraud and misrepresentation in small claims court; its only about $70 to file. I will claim damages to be valued at $15,000. So by the time the corporation pays lawyer fees and wastes human resources, the company would have wasted the amount they defrauded. examples are charging toronto to markham as long distance, charging for when the phone is just ringing; even if I dont succeed, I feel better being ordered by a court to pay the fees. Anyone think this will fly to nail these thieves?

What does "SIM Not Provisioned" mean on an iPhone?

Provisioning is an old Telecom industry term. It means that a given hardware set-up has been provided service. Taking this to the mobile phone space, a line of service uses a SIM (subscriber identity module) card to identify a device on the provider’s network. Your phone or tablet or car doesn’t have the account, the SIM card does. Moving that SIM to another device transfers the identity of the account to that device. Therefore, a SIM (subscriber identity module) that is Not Provisioned, does not have a line of service attached to it.

Can I send and receive texts if I turn off cellular data and Wi-Fi on my iPhone?

Certainly ‘Yes ‘ .SMS stands for Short Message Services .This one of the many Basic services just like telephony , call waiting etc which need to be provisioned for a stranded Mobile subscriber , so It doesn't Matter which Handset you are using , ( Iphone.. Andriod or any basich phone like Nokia 3310 )SMS falls under is non-voice basic services .So SMS service is pretty old and does not required the “Data” ( here data means data services enables eg. 2g ( edge/GPRS), 3 data, or 4G) or Wifi connection .I would say any mobile phone should support this basic service .Even if you are not talking your phone is constantly sending and receiving information through radio channels towards Base transceiver station ( BTS) eg, control channel. In GSM to enable SMS, there are some basic protocols such as SS7(Signaling System No.7) and SMPP(Short Message Peer to Peer Protocol).SS7 used between core elements. SMPP is used in IP domain.Below is the complete call flow with more details :-image src: rf wirelessSo as long as you have GSM signal you can send and recive sms.Now a days some operators have Wifi Calling service here you can still send and receive voice calls and legacy SMS if you are on coverage of only WiFi.interesting point here that SMS is transmitted via Mobile Application Part (MAP) of the SS7 protocol where the payload length limited by 1120 bits, which further limits the maximum size of txt message as 160 7-bit characters .Well it is also worth to mention that the new IM messaging apps like whatsapp, Viber , WeChat etc are killing legacy SMS service and rarely people use SMS .If you liked it please upvote!
