Weight gain after wisdom teeth removal. Normal?

I weighed myself the day before I got my wisdom teeth out, and it said I was 149.0 lbs. It's now two days later and the scale told me I was 156.4! Both times were in the morning before any food and without clothes on.

How on Earth did I gain 7 and a half pounds in two days? I had a couple bowls of mashed potatoes but I mostly ate healthy things like oatmeal, greek yogurt, etc. and some soup.

Is this normal? I'm freaking out because I've been trying to lose weight, and 156 is where I originally started...

Why have I gained weight after wisdom teeth removal?

I hope you're doing well. Pulling out wisdom teeth isn't easy, so I hope you're feeling better :)

For your question there are different possible reasons. First, are you sure you weighed yourself in the right time? In order to get an accurate reading you need to do the following:
- weigh yourself first thing in the morning
- make sure you didn't put anything in your mouth (food or drink)
- empty your bowels before you weigh yourself
- do not weigh yourself after exercising

Let's say you did all this and you still get 122 lbs on the scale, this might be because your body went into starvation mode. Meaning that because you decreased your caloric intake dramatically, it started to store what you eat as fats to survive, which lead to weight gain.

Weight gain after wisdom teeth?

I got all my wisdom teeth out Tuesday (four days ago) my mouth is really swelled up and big and I only been able to eat jello, ice cream, and soft foods. I haven't ate much of anything and I keep gaining weight? I weighed 108 now 111 is it from the water weight? From taking pills several times a day? :( I'm worried. I was close to my goal now I'm back to 111 this morning.

Did you lose any weight after getting your wisdom teeth removed?

I got all of them taken out almost a week ago and I've hardly been eating anything. all I've eaten was anything I didnt have to chew on. mostly soup and apple sauce and liquids. just recently am I eating bread, but I'm chewing with my front teeth, so it takes forever to finish.
anyhow, did you lose any weight after getting your teeth removed?

Can you gain weight after having your Wisdom teeth removed?

so, I know you can gain weight by eating. This is what I've had since removing my wisdom teeth.

Cold water
Jello,Jello,Jello and more Jello
2 cups of pudding
chik-fil-a (cut very small) nuggets and a few waflle fries with cold tea
cup of chili
one small bottle diet dr.pepper (dr. recommended it)
small piece of cake and ice cream (friend's birthday)

I haven't been doing much excercis becaus Doctor said I wasn't suppose to for about a week.

I had it done on friday and it is now sunday (almost monday). I have gained 10 pounds. And I don't usually eat 3 meals a day. I only eat when I'm hungry (so like 5 small meals a day at the most) I don't see how that is possible. If anything, I should be losing. Is it water weight becuase of the swelling in my face or something? If someone has an answer or a suggestion to help please share.

I lost 80 pounds on my own and I am a 16 year old girl, I don't want to start gaining again. So please please help somehow if you can.

Weight gain related to wisdom teeth?

I'm a 16 year old female and this morning at 9am I got my impacted wisdom teeth removed. Before I left my house I clearly weighed 98 pounds.

I've barely eaten anything since my mouth hurts, yet I've gained 5 whole pounds in the past few hours. (I've eaten less the 700 calories)

my face isn't even that swollen so why is it that I'm gaining weight so rapidly?
it's not like my body to fluctuate that much.
I've also been drinking only water.
could it be the pain killer they gave me? and If not then what?
