Not Receiving Emails From London Based Website

How do I stop getting emails from websites I don't want to get emails from?

Yours is a question related to finding the "Holy Grail" ...Your problem is called SPAM, lots of unwanted and unsolicited e-mails coming into your mailbox.   Getting rid of them is hard.   The most common solution is to mark them as SPAM and let your e-mail system software handle them...that is, put them in a SPAM folder where they will eventually be deleted for good.Ah, but here is the delicate balance:  Sometimes, an email is marked as SPAM when in reality you DID NOT want it discarded as such,  this is a "False Positive (SPAM)", so, you have to tell or teach your email system to NOT put into SPAM mails coming from that sender, or maybe with "that" specific subject....  But them  similar SPAM messages will pass thru and re-appear in your mailbox. And this is a never-ending story of SPAM management in the Internet era.SPAM is here and it won't go away in the foreseeable future, so, learn to leave with it.... Sorry for the bad news.

Is this a fraud or real? Received an e-mail saying i won a prize!?

You have not won a prize. Perhaps you will find that you "may' have won a price, or that you have won a chance at getting a prize if you enter, or that you might get a prize if you sign up for a bunch of things and trick your friends into signing up too. Do not give any of your personal information, and do not visit the website.

"aldaniti provides its clients with a database of more than 6 million registered people, who have given their express consent to receive advertisments ..."

They are harvesting email addresses to sell to advertisers.

This is a SCAM. If you click on the below link this site confirms various email scams hitting the internet and provides an online form for the reporting of such, with links for your own country.

Unscrupulous thieves have sent you this email and they are trying to part you from your hard earned cash. They will often ask you to call a premium rate number and keep you holding on whilst you rack up a huge phone bill. They are then paid a large proportion of this phone bill. They may ask you to divulge personal information about yourself or ask for your bank or credit card details. Do not divulge any such information under any circumstances. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these types of emails. Please remember the thieves who send them are very clever and extremely convincing. I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace.

Problem publishing to Yahoo via sitebuilder?

Hi I have been having the same problem as you, i am in the UK and have sent 6 emails with replies back similar to yours. What i did this morning was to try to get around the problem with SiteBuilder by using Dreamweaver. After putting all my site info into this software when i came to publish/upload i got a message that said " The sever is down or is not accepting connections at this time"

Yahoo have a status message board that has two postings:

12 Nov 09 Confirming that some UK sitebuilder customers are having problems and that there engineers are looking at it

17 Nov 09 today Another message saying that they are aware of the problem and there engineers are working on it.

It is very frustrating that Yahoo who are in the communication business are so poor at replying to emails. When you do get a reply its straight out of a script manual telling you what you can already find out on there website. I feel like i am been given the runaround.

I have been with Yahoo for over 5 years with no problem but i am reconsidering where to put my business in the future

Regards

Chris
