Now That Ebola Has Reached The United States Does Anyone Else Feel We Need To Lock These People In

Could I make a ton of money by just blackmailing pedophiles with the threat of exposing them to the police?

So you think you'll get people's ID simply by asking for it huh? You don't seriously think that pedophiles use their proper names and addresses to log in to chatrooms? And there are 50 different ways someone can spoof an IP address. You know almost nothing about them, in fact.

You also think that none of these guys will relaize that it's a hell of a lot safer just to stake out the drop box until they track YOU, and go to your own home to 'solve' their issue?

Might work once or twice, t's a lot more likely to get you killed.

Yes, it is a crime, btw. In several ways. It's blackmail, but it would also make YOU guilty of complicity in pedophilia.

If someone who appears to have Ebola is running toward you, can you kill them in self defense?

As many people have pointed out:1. By the time you'd be able to distinguish Ebola from flu and common cold, the person who has it would be barely able to walk without external help, nowhere near running2. A shot would lead to blood sprays. Anyone reached by it (for instance you) would have pretty high chance if getting it, in any case way more then just from a touch with Ebola patient.3. It is illegal: if you have an acute peanut allergy, I strongly doubt you'll escape murder sentence if you shoot a child running towards you who forgot to clean his hands after eating peanut butter jelly sandwich. The reason is that there is no provable intent to harm and many other ways of escaping danger, such as running, kicking, etc... If you would follow the same logic, you'd have to shoot every person who endangers you and it's heck of a lot of people. That drunk driver you see getting out of the bar and starting his engine as you do? You have to kill him. Squirrels in the park? Might have rabies, better empty a magazine on them to be sure. And while you're at rabies, better put your dog down too, because you never know. Etc, etc, etc....tl;dr:Ebola is serious disease that inflicts lots of pain and suffering to the patients and is nowhere near the mythical "zombie apocalypse virus". One of the reasons it spun under control is because of world-wide apathy as long as it remained limited to Africa and lack of proper funds, in part because of budget cuts to WHO and CDC in the past years. If you are REALLY concerned about protecting yourself from Ebola (and other emerging diseases in the future):Write to your local representative (in the US: Senator or Congressman) voicing your concern about lack of help to the African countries to contain contagious diseases and budget cuts to WHO.If you are really scared, might also throw in a couple of lines about the funding cuts National Institute of Health and how they could be reversed at less  then 0.5% of the US defense budget. Because of the public attention, most affected by the funding stagnation and then cuts at NIH are teams working on orphan diseases, such as Malaria, Lhassa fever and until recently Ebola.

Can I put my roommates stuff out and have the locks changed?

Not a good idea. If ANYTHING happens to his stuff . . . or if he claims anything has happened to his stuff, you are going to find yourself on the wrong end of a lawsuit. Plus he can nail you and the landlord for an illegal lock out. He has a legal right to access the residence for the entire period in which he has paid rent - and he clearly has paid through the middle of April.

If you want him out faster, be nice. Offer to help and then carefully pack up his belongings and transport everything to where he is moving to. And then help him unload the truck. Don't be rude, or obnoxious. (Which I'm guessing is how all of you are behaving toward him.) Just help your former roommate out. Give him a small "no hard feelings" gift.

It is absolutely AMAZING how just a little bit of common courtesy can smooth things over and make litigation unnecessary. And I don't CARE what he has done or said to you. Just because he might be behaving like an immature kid doesn't mean that you can't behave like an adult.

Is it true that it is illegal to feed someone else's parking meter?

Yes, it's illegal.
Parking codes are established by the city. Generally as a way to promote business. Public parking spaces are granted for up close business access in return for a nominal fee. The fee is determined by city council representatives & businesses that are bringing jobs & services to the area.
The meter is a way to keep the flow of business moving. It looks at the type of businesses in the area & how long a person would need to transact their business, leave, and make room for a new consumer with more money to spend. When a patron decides to tarry at the a diner slowly sipping their 2-3 cups of coffee while chatting with friends, it's considered a loss of potential business when during that same time frame, 3 potential customers decided to spend their money at another location.
I've learned that it it not only illegal to feed other people's meters, but we aren't even supposed to do that with our own meter. If parking is for one hour, they mean one hour & move along to make room for someone else with a new wallet/purse full of money. Basically saying, "You've been shopping for one hour. You're low on cash. Make room for new money."
And we can't use "unused" time. The city must get their funds for EACH car parked. But I can see where that makes sense. Suppose they only allow half hour parking b/c the meter tallies only "X" number of cars needed that space. If everyone fed the meter upon arrival, the city could see that more spaces and/or time is needed for parking b/c they have a truer count of actual car usage per parking space.
I think if they made all laws clear and why they were a benefit, then more people would want to comply so that when parking analysis is computed, they'd have the true usage/need facts for that business district.

Does the Constitution contain a right to privacy?

The Constitution does not specifically mention a right to privacy. However, Supreme Court decisions over the years have established that the right to privacy is a basic human right, and as such is protected by virtue of the 9th Amendment. The right to privacy has come to the public's attention via several controversial Supreme Court rulings, including several dealing with contraception (the Griswold and Eisenstadt cases), interracial marriage (the Loving case), and abortion (the well-known Roe v Wade case). In addition, it is said that a right to privacy is inherent in many of the amendments in the Bill of Rights, such as the 3rd, the 4th's search and seizure limits, and the 5th's self-incrimination limit.

Why is Nepal so underdeveloped?

It is true that Nepal is underdeveloped. Lets try to understand why. I’ve listed out a few points which I feel are the justifications behind this.1. Political instability:The political unrest in Nepal is as far as it can go. The government is changing ever so often, and the entire government system is still not settled. There has been about 25 changes in prime minister in past 25 years, and still we don’t know for how long the current government may last. But, no matter how much the government is changing, it seems like its just the same old wine in a new bottle. Its also just been a couple of years since constitution has been framed, so it’ll still take a while for a stable system to exist.2. Emigration:The people from Nepal are really hard working and diligent. But these competent people fly away from their country in search for better job opportunities elsewhere. The poor job condition in Nepal with a low salary that too with some favoritism repels away the skillful youths. So, the remaining few won’t be able to bring much progress in Nepal’s condition.3. Landlocked:Nepal is sandwiched between two great nations - India and China, and it has no connection to ocean. Because of this, sea trade becomes impossible here and so Nepal has to depend upon India for its many goods. Because of this dependency over India, India has been able to interfere over Nepal’s affair and this hasn’t really been beneficial for Nepal.4. Geography:Its said, Nepal’s geography is a boon to it and at the same time, a bane for it. The mountains and landscapes, although beautiful, makes it difficult to construct transportation routes between places. This is one big reason why there are no railway facilities here. And the road transportation is also equally challenging to construct and travel through.5. Poverty:With all the reasons listed above, its natural that Nepalese get poor. So, even if someone wants to make a great change in Nepal, the financial factor restrains him.
