Why does the "page cannot be displayed come up in all of the answers to my question?

Hi,
Can't Compose reply or forward? Here's how: Click the "Options" link in the upper right of your Mail page. On the Options page, in the "Management" column, click on "General Preferences". Find the "Composing E-mails" section, "Mode:", and choose "Compose messages as plain text". Scroll to the bottom and click the "Save" button. Now try it.

I would clean my cache: Tools on toolbar. Internet Options, Delete Cookies and Delete Files. Then move down and Clear History. Click OK. It's done!

If that doesn't work: http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/send/...

I suggest going back to IE 6 until testing stage is complete. Turn off automatic updates until then too!!!
Click on Start, Control Panel/Settings, Add and Remove Programs. Find IE 7 or IE 8. Remove it and you will go back to Internet Explorer 6.

I also advise Switching Back To Original Mail until testing stage is complete.

NOTE: Use beta software at your own risk; it is intended for testing and evaluation purposes only. Do not install beta software on your primary computer or production environment.

Hope this helps you.

Page cannot displayed keeps popping up?

Question has not been answered....!
The problem is, the pop-up blocker blocking the pop-up CAUSES the error message: "The page cannot be displayed". SO how do we work around this... it is causing interruption in my web page flow and the "back" button doesn't always return to the page with all my info saved in, i.e. online applications for jobs, housing etc.
I have to copy and paste everything before moving on, to prevent lost text, vis a vis this message.

This page cannot be displayed. I am getting this way more than I feel I should.?

Hi,
I found this in What's New In Mail:
We’re wrapping up a few remaining compatibility issues between Yahoo! Mail Beta and the new Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 Beta, and we’ll open up our Beta to their Beta towards the end of this month. Folks on the bleeding edge, please sit tight!

This applies to almost all mail,(including signing in, composing, receiving, sending etc.) and search problems for the last two weeks.

So, It appears we have to un-install these two things or try to work around them.

For those who can't get in at all try this as it seems to be working for a few.
http://myyahoo.com
Login on My Yahoo! page
Select the link at top right to go to Yahoo!'s Home Page.
Mouse over the Mail Icon under where it says (Hi, your Yahoo! id).
You should get a drop down menu with your latest emails displayed.
Select an email and click it. You then get to a new page about Shortcuts, but just select the button for Mail and it should take you to your Mail page.
It wasn't getting redirected to the shortcuts page on some servers and not going to the mail page.

This is also working for some:
Click the "Options" link in the upper right of your Mail page.
On the Options page, in the "Management" column, click on "General Preferences".
Find the "Composing E-mails" section, "Mode:", and choose "Compose messages as plain text".
Scroll to the bottom and click the "Save" button.
Now try it. Can you Compose, Reply to a message or Forward?

This is working for some also:
Make sure your screen resolution is 1024 by 768 pixels. Right click on your desktop, click Properties, click the "Settings" tab, left click and hold on the screen resolution bar and drag it all the way to the right, click Apply and click OK.

Internet troubles! keeps saying "Cannot display this webpage" or its invalid?

So, i have an issue, it may be my internet connection being extremely slow but in the past few days i noticed that all the computers in my house are not putting up the pages i try to go to correctly, it is either done with errors, or won't even come up at all as it says "Cannot display this web page" or it states "Web page invalid" all the time. if i happen to get on a web page, pictures won't show up or the entire page is completely screwed up, and it is frustrating trying to go to pages and i have to referesh them over and over. Help!!

Why does my computer say page cannot be displayed ?

If you open up Internet Explorer and go to a specific website and it says page cannot be displayed it is because there is no connection. The first thing you could do is click Refresh in the Menu's bar. If that doesn't work you could try a different approach. If you have a modem go at the bottom and it says this website. Go to Start, Run and type it in. Then an internet page pops-up. Hit disconnect. It asks you to put in the Modem access code. It is also on the bottom of your modem. Then hit connect to bring network traffic back up.

Why does Internet Explorer keep saying it can't display the webpage?

Almost everytime I try to go to a website, or a different page in a website (especially on Facebook) I get the message that Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage. If I refresh the page, it will usually come up. However, sometimes I have to refresh the page many times before the page will load and stay up. There's no problems with the connection or anything. What's going on?

Why is my web page not displaying properly? How can I fix it?

You’ll need to elaborate, as there are several root issues that could be happening here. Some of them includeYour host is not serving the website correctly, or the DNS has not been setup correctly. This would result in a 503 error or else a total lack of the page loadingYour backend system or backend code has malfunctioned, resulting in a total lack of front-page content, but the site may resolve the DNS. This can result in 503 or 403 errors, as well as a custom error screen depending on your backendYour CSS/HTML/Javascript code has been written in a way that makes the website not display correctly. This is common when developing for desktop and viewing on mobile.The thing about this issue is literally any facet of the website could cause this issue, from the physical server to the code to the back end to the client side browser.Each one of these problems will have a very specific thing to do in order to fix it. When it comes to code, one comma or semicolon, or close tag out of place and the whole thing can come down on your head. As far as DNS and hosting, contact your provider for help, they should be able to assist.

What's wrong if the 'in transit to next facility' keeps showing up on the USPS site for 4 straight days? What should I do?

Your parcel is now moving from a USPS distribution center to another distribution center where it will be once again scanned. The distribution center decides when a parcel should be transported and on which route. Whenever the parcel reaches a USPS distribution center, it gets scanned and the data will be updated on the USPS server and will be available on the tracking page. while your item is moving on a truck, it is impossible to be scanned and so you won't receive any updates for your parcel. So, now your item is moving to the location near you. For more information, you can also see Why "in transit to next facility" appears again & again on the USPS tracking page?

How do I keep my fixed elements from moving from their positions relative to the browser page, when the size of the webpage is altered?

You need to concentrate on your CSS. You have written too much. Doesn't matter, I altered these in your CSS, which fixes your problem.#welcome {
position: fixed;
font-family: Rockwell, Trebuchet MS;

left: 0;
right: 0;
text-align: center;

top: 100px;
color: #66ffff;
font-size: 50px;
}
#accent {
position: fixed;

left: 0;
right: 0;
margin: 0 auto;

top: 325px;
border-radius: 20px;
color: #535353;
background-color: #535353;
height: 70px;
width: 600px;
z-index: 1;
}
What I did in the above code is that added the right, left and text-align properties. Giving 'Right' and 'Left' a zero value, we are telling the browser that it starts from the very beginning of the left side of the browser and stops at the very end on the right. Then for the Text, you need to align it to center.In case of objects with specified width like the dark background you gave to the Text in the second line, you just need to give a margin-left and margin-right with 'auto'.Also, you need not to give position fixed to all the elements, unless you know what you're doing.
