Pain Throughout Body For No Reason

What sorts of diseases cause chronic pain throughout the body akin to feeling like being "hit by a bus"?

Many diseases can cause this- Autoimmune diseases from Hashimoto's to Psoriasis to Rheumatoid Arthritis. Simple nutritional deficiencies could be a culprit by way of calcium, Vitamin D, magnesium, protein deficiencies, and more. A variety of genetic conditions including metabolic disorders or collagen disorders such as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome or Marfans. Ongoing psychological stress can cause a hormonal cascade that places the body in a state where it is 'used to' or more sensitive to experiencing pain and the person could develop Central Pain Disorder or Fibromyalgia.

I have weird internal pains throughout the body at random times. What could this be?

For the past week I have had strange pains. It started with feeling like garbage (groggy, slow, frustrated for no reason.), having trouble breathing, and with vomiting/diarrhea. After the doctors visit the I have had completely random symptoms, including:

-Random trouble breathing*
-Sudden chest pain in the left side*
-sudden kidney pain*
-sudden pain in my left side near the lower rib, not related to the kidney but more like being punched*
-not being able to take deep breathes
>constant stomach and intestinal pain
>very small headaches that go away quickly
>Occasional joint pains

*All of these happen at random and come and go

Google and the WebMD symptom search did not help as it's very specific problems. I got blood work done to see if it's an internal or bacterial issue. Otherwise, I'm at a loss. Help?

I am 18 years old, age is not an issue here.

Do body parts hurt for no reason sometimes?

Hysterical conversion reactions and phantom limb pain are two types of pain that do not have an anatomical/physical basis. Phantom limb pain is rather easy to spot and interpret but conversion is more difficult in that a search for an anatomic cause is usually carried out. The current conception of fibromyalgia, postulating an aberrant neural mechanism contains an element of pain that is difficult to localize anatomically. But I think the vast majority of pain syndromes are caused by anatomic disease. I also think approaching pain syndromes in any other way - that is without seriously seeking an anatomic cause - is risky and could cause harm. An example of the misuse of this notion is "growing pains", a worrisome label that often should be expressed as "I don't know what your pain is from". So, the answer to your question is rarely and one must always keep an open mind that a cause may become apparent in the future.

Numbness and burning sensation throughout my body?

Awhile ago I went to the doctor for a numbness burning sensation in my legs. She ran some blood tests which ruled out limes disease, diabites, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Then she sent me to a Nurologest. He ran this test on me where he shocked my legs and feet. We then got the test results back and found that i dont have a pinched nurve or a sliped disk. so on we went to a C-spine MRI checking for Multipal Sclorsis. That also came back negative. now i have to go for another MRI this time on my brain. since all these tests the numbness is now all over my body my arms and legs, and face and neck nose, ears fingers and toes. the burning sensation is killing me it hurts so bad.
So my question to everyone is: Has this happened to you or somebody you know? Can anyone give me any idea as to whats going on with me.? Is there anything I can do to fix this problem. please help me out.

thanks for your help

What are the causes of body pain?

This is a really heavy, important, basic and practical question. There are many kinds of pain with many unusual (psychosomatic, phantom limbs, referral pain) and different (body damage, neurological, psychological) causes which all have a different pathophysiology. But I'll try to explain one of the many of them. Why do we need to feel the pain? shouldn't the brain just ignore it?With an evolutionary view the sense of pain is there to alert us that there is something wrong with the body, for example some of the cells are dying because of a cut, burn or a disease.I'm just trying to explain the pathophysiology of this kind of pain (dying cell caused by a physical trauma or a disease) and how painkillers try to stop them. There are many kinds of molecules (like enzymes) that are found inside the cells not in the fluid around them (extra-cellular space). Some of them are specific to a special kind of cells or organs (PSA in prostate, AST,ALT in liver, CKMB in heart) and some of them are present in all cells.A group of them that exists in all cells are prostaglandins. When a cell dies, its content pours into the blood stream. prostaglandins are used as a signal in the body that some of cells are dead.It triggers the immune system through it's receptors on white blood cells. It also has a receptor on nerve cells that sense body pain and triggers them to send the pain signals to the central nervous system. One of widely used painkillers are from a family called NSAIDs (Non-Steroid Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) like Ibuprofen, Diclofenac and Aspirin. These meds act as nonselective inhibitors of the enzyme cyclooxygenase which destroys the cells' ability to make prostaglandins reversibly (except Aspirin). No more prostaglandins means no more (or at least, less) pain.I hope this was helpful.
