If you killed someone at the 4 corners?

Yes. Not only that because the crime happened across state line's makes it a Federal crime and the 4 corners spot is a federal national park site I think so you would have to answer for that as well. The two states you and your victim were in would also get to have jurisdiction over you.

It would most likely work out this way the Feds would have you for sure and the state with the best chance of convicting you and punishing you severely would get a hold of you. While there would be some initial legal wrangling on which state rest assured you are legally boned.

If you shot yourself with a .38 revolver at close range, will it come out at the back of your head? Would you find a hole on something?

It depends on barrel length, propellant, and projectile… 38 Special ammo can be loaded almost as hot as 357 Magnum, but typically it isn’t. The most commonly sold and carried 38 revolver is a snub with barrel length under 2″ and they are typically loaded with +P expanding hollowpoints. All factors considered, there is about a 50/50 chance it will not exit the cranium. A lot depends on shot placement and if it was a contact shot or fired from several inches away. Contact shot to the temporal region, at a straight across trajectory, with a FMJ or hard cast slug, loaded with double base smokeless powder would typically leave an exit wound, whereas a standard pressure, soft lead Nyclad fired into the forehead from 3 inches away likely would not. Many factors to consider simply to establish probability.C. R. Jahn, author of FTW Self Defense

Why don't cops shoot the wheel in a high speed chase?

First of all, it's not nearly as easy as TV makes it seem. Shooting at a lot of moving tire is both dangerous and difficult. Once the slug leaves your gun it can go places you never intended. Ricochet shots can be deadly.Second, a sudden blow out on the car your pursuing can has serious complications that can involve innocent bystanders. Roll over crashes, out of control vehicles, and the such can also be disastrous. That's why stop sticks, thrown into the path of a vehicle being pursued, flatten two if not all four tiers. Vehicles are less likely to veer out of control with two or all four tires flattered at once.

Is it bad to dry fire an airsoft gun?

no it doesn't hurt it. but what some people think is that your hurting your internals. but your going to wear out your internals anyway by pressing the trigger but no it doesn't really hurt it. i think its still going to be the same if you dry fire or shoot bb's out.

Are you allowed to shoot down an enemy medevac helicopter during wartime?

I was the pilot of unarmed medical evacuation helicopters during the American war in Vietnam 1969–70. Both pilots, the medic and the crew chief carried firearms for personal protection but during my time there no member of my crew ever discharged his firearm and I never heard even rumors of anyone else in my unit doing so. Our helicopters were clearly marked with 4 large red crosses on a white background. Our helicopters were used solely for medical evacuation and administrative missions for medical units. While attempting to hoist a wounded soldier off the side of a mountain we came under heavy enemy fire. The aircraft was shot down and I was shot several times. While I was recovering in a hospital my regular crew chief was shot and killed while loading patients. A few months after I left another helicopter in my unit also came under fire and was shot down doing a hoist not far from where I’d been shot down. Three of the four crew members were killed in the subsequent crash. If there were enemy in the area is was unusual for us NOT to come under fire as we were a large target and unarmed. On a few occasions however we would fly in to pick up wounded when we knew a firefight was ongoing and yet we’d come in and go out without a single round hitting the helicopter. While we were observing all the rules and restrictions it was obvious that in most cases the enemy, if he knew what the rules were, disregarded them and apparently there was no effort made by their chain of command to correct this. On those other occasions when we were not fired on I can only assume that either the enemy chain of command exercised some control or, more likely, the individual soldiers had their own moral compass and decided on their own not to fire on us. Those latter two instances were the only times when the enemy was “not allowed” to shoot at us. It was certainly nothing we could count on.

If someone is breaking into my home, can I shoot them through the door?

The short answer is no. Yes you can, but you’ll go to jail and be sued for everything you own and will ever earn. Here is the only way I can see it being justified. If you are in your home, you hear a threat. You take your family into a room, you have set up for this. A safe room. You call 911. You leave them on the line as you tell the person on the other side of the door to stay away. The hostile is actually taking your door down. Not just kicking it or shaking the door knob. He’s got an ax going through the wood, or he’s hitting it hard enough you can see the hinges are going to break soon.Think of Jack in “The Shining.”I am not a fan of ‘warning shots’ Either it’s a threat that needs being shot, or it isn’t. In this case a warning shot through the top of the door would be justified. (Maybe you have a deranged, deaf mute firefighter who is having a nightmare. ) Seriously, you have no way to signal your intent other than with a warning shot. The idea is, you have a real significant threat. He has signaled his intent and the ability to get through the door. If you allow it to proceed any farther, it puts your family at risk, then you might get away with it. But anything else; you can’t get 911 because you forgot your phone, he’s banging on the door but it’s not taking any real damage, it’s just you in the room without any other family members….Yeah not so much.

Why is resisting arrest a crime?

Yes, you are expected to be arrested without fighting back. The time to question the arrest is in court, not in the street.

Before an officer can shoot someone, he has to be able to articulate an imminent threat on his life or the life of another. Simply seeing a weapon is not enough, the person has to show intent to use it.

Once the officer determines the persons intent, he can shoot. He does not have to wait for the other person to shoot first.

Why It is legal in North Dakota to shoot an Indian on horseback, provided you are in a covered wagon???

For the same reason Fel*tio is still illegal in many states. Becuase a long long time ago some backward legislotor in ND, probably during the indian wars, thought that if theres an Indian on horse back near a covered wagon they must be attacking said covered wagon. As time went on no more Native Americans on horse back and no more covered wagons and no more Indian wars. Over time the law was forgotten and left on the books becuase no one cared enough to change it, including the strong Native American Lobby that I'm sure is up there. People everywhere perform oral s*x on each other but they rarely get arrested for it unless they are being harrased by some law enforcement agency that has it in for them personally. I doubt that any horseback riding Native Americans are worried about stray bullets from covered wagons these days.
