Pausing torrent download?
Can i pause a torrent, shut down my computer and resume downloading torrent? im downloading a really big file (6gb) and i want to download little but by little bit, over a period of days.
Torrent (uTorrent) Restarting My Computer?
I have been using uTorrent for a while, and from last night it shuts down my computer whenever I open it. There is no error message, no warning, it just restarts after uTorrent is opened for a few seconds. I think it might be a virus. It has only happened since I imported a few newer torrents. Can someone please help me?
Is it possible to pause a download in BitTorrent and continue the download again without losing the data?
I'm downloading a very large file on BitTorrent. I already have over 50% completed, but it will still take a couple of hours. I was wondering if it was possible to pause the download now, close the BitTorrent application, turn off my computer, and continue the download the next day, without losing the data I have. I do not want to start on 0% again. Please, someone help me! P.S. : If it is possible, do I pause or stop the download?

this is easy to fix. open my computer. > tools> folder options > file types go down to .torrent and associate it with the software you want to open torrents.
Saving incomplete torrent files --> format PC?
As long as the other hard disk has no infections it will work if you still have a copy of the torrent files you used to start the downloads. Format the other disk and then copy the whole folder with the incomlete downloads to it. Create another folder for the torrent files. After you hace reformatted C drive and reinstalled your OS and all your other software you are just a few steps away from restarting your incomplete downloads. If you are using the Azureus client point it to your folder where your incomplete files are. Now restart all the downloads using the torrent files you saved. Make sure they are all in the stopped state at this point. Now right click on each download and select advanced-files-check incomlete pieces. Now when you restart the downloads if you have directed your client properly it will see the incomplete files, recheck them and continue from where you left off. Good Luck.
