PIMA medical Institute Las Vegas ?
I live in Vegas and I'm graduating high school in 4 months, I plan to go to PIMA medical institute to pursue my career as a veterinary technician, I just have a lot of questions and I haven't met with anyone from PIMA yet. Average tuition Price? What other classes do I need are they offered there? (bio, chem?) Does the school offer every single thing I need to be successful in the field or will I need to transfer to finish?

Is getting into Pima Medical Institute for Radiography hard?
My advice............stay away from private schools and save your money. I visited their website, and one thing to be wary of is private schools/private vocational schools that are not transparent about their tuition and other fees. I clicked on the financial aid, and it doesn't even provide the cost per semester hour, extra fees or anything. Expect this institute to be expensive. Also in looking at their radiography program, while it claims to be an associates degree.........keep in mind this is not an associates degree where you take general ed classes to transfer to a 4 year college. If you look at their curriculum page, there are no history requirements, no humanities requirements, no sociology/psychology requirements, no English requirements. In the first semester of their program, students are taking Anatomy and Physiology I. Curriculum link: http://pmi.edu/careers/radiography.asp It may also be beneficial to do some job searches nationwide to see which areas have more job offerings. The more health care entities of course, the more opportunities. So if you do decide to go to a school for radiology technologists keep that in mind too. There are jobs of course out there! Online job search: http://www.indeed.com/jobs?q=Radiology+T... Some health care entities like hospitals have their career/HR on their website where you can look for jobs to see what is out there also.
Is it worth it to go to Dental Assisting school?
I'm currently in college taking my general courses before going into a Dental Hygiene program at another college. I was just wondering if people could give me their opinions... Should I finish this semester and then go to Dental Assisting school (certificate program such as ITT Tech, Lincoln Tech, Everest, ect.)? Pros of going: I won't have to wait another year doing general studies before going into Dental Hygiene school because I didn't apply for next fall because I thought I was moving I'll be able to make more an hour than I do now I'll be able to have a real career as opposed to what I do now that is temporary I'll be able to get experience before becoming a Hygienist Cons of going: I'll only be a Dental Assistant for 3 years or so before I finish Dental Hygiene school It's approximately $15,000 to go and I more than likely will not get any financial aid because my mom makes over $100,000 a year It's a certificate program so none of the classes I'll be taking there will have transferable credits. If anyone has actually read this far down and is currently in the dental field could you tell me how much assistants make an hour generally? Any advice or opinions are welcomed and appreciated. Thank you!
What kind of financial aid can you expect from graduate school for an art major?
I would expect nothing. It isn’t typical for graduate schools to give aid. Anything they usually give is based on merit. Art Schools are not known to be generous, but search and do your research. Don’t overlook schools that may have good art grad programs but aren’t ‘art school’ per se.
