Powerpoint To Movie Help

Powerpoint Vs Windows Movie Maker?

Oh how I love your name!

Audio clips are handled by PowerPoint in one of two ways.

.wav files ---
By default, these files are imbedded (included right into the presentation file) if they are smaller than 100k. There's a preference you can use to adjust this to a higher number. PowerPoint > Preferences > General > Link Files Greater than .... and here you fill in a number that is larger than the sound file you want to embed. (For Windows versions of PowerPoint you'll find this in Tools > Options).

All other sound file formats---
PowerPoint thinks of these as "movies" and instead of trying to play the sounds by itself, PowerPoint relies on a player (this happens without you noticing). These files are always linked. There's a couple different ways to deal with this situation.

In PowerPoint you would use File > Save As and choose the file type PowerPoint package. That creates a folder with a copy of your presentation and copies of all the required sound files. The presentation has all the links corrected for you.

Unless you are using a Windows version of PowerPoint, in which case you have to do this manually. First you make an empty folder. Then put copies of all the sound files into that folder (do not make any subfolders). Then put the presentation into that folder. Then delete all the existing sound files and re-insert the sound files using the files in the folder. This creates a "relative" link instead of an "absolute" link, so that if you make copies of the entire folder all the links will be kept intact.

How do you import Powerpoint slides into Windows Movie Maker?

Actually, you cannot put a PowerPoint presentation directly into Windows Movie Maker. Because it only supports input like videos, pictures, audios or else. Then you can try these two methods:

Method 1 Save each slide in the PowerPoint presentation as picture.
1. In MS PowerPoint, go to File -> Save as. Choose a picture format from on the "Save as type" option.
2. Then select "Every slide" in the following prompt dialog. You will see a hint pop up, saying “Each slide in your presentation has been saved as a separate file in the folder: ***.
3. Open the folder to get all the exported pictures.
4. Finally, import all these pictures into Windows Movie Maker. You can edit them before converting to video.

However, this method cannot keep the wipes and animations from the original PowerPoint presentation.

Method 2 Convert PowerPoint presentations to video format.
To retain everything of your presentation, use a conversion tool like Moyea PPT to Video Converter to convert it to a video ( WMV, MPEG, AVI, etc).Three steps:
1. Import a PowerPoint presentation;
2. Choose the output video format;
3. Start conversion.

Then you can import the convert video presentation to Windows Movie Maker.

As I know, there are two ways for making a PowerPoint video:
1. Save the presentation as multiple images and then import them to Window Movie Maker. Then you can save it as video.
Pros:
**FREE
**No need to download other software. This tool is part of Windows operating system.
Cons:
** The transitions, animations in your original PowerPoint will not be retained.

2. With PowerPoint to video converter directly, such as Wondershare PPT2Video:

How do you embed a YouTube video into PowerPoint 2007?

There are two ways to do this. One requires the computer you are presenting on to have internet access and the other does not. Typically I try to insert videos with the assumption that the computer I am presenting on will not have internet access (better safe than sorry?). If, however, you are certain of fthe internet connection, instructions for inserting a video that way can be found here:http://iconlogic.blogs.com/weblo...Here is how to insert videos for presenting on a computer without internet:
1. Find the YouTube video you would like to insert into your PowerPoint presentation.2. Copy the URL for the video.3. Navigate to http://www.clipconverter.cc/ (there are other free media converters, but I've tried and had success with this one) .4. Paste in the URL for the YouTube video and select WMV from Conversion Format.5. Adjust the conversion options if you would like and click Continue.
6. Name the file and then click Start
7. Once converted, click the Download button and save the video where you can find it.8. In PowerPoint, select the slide on which you would like to insert the video.9. On the Insert tab choose Movie > Movie from File.10. Navigate to where you have saved the downloaded video and click OK.11. When asked how you would like the movie to start in PowerPoint, click When Clicked (unless you would like the video to begin playing automatically).12. Move and resize the inserted video as desired.13. When you view your slide show, click the video to play it. Click the video again to pause or stop it.
