Promotion Help In Chicago Public School

Disqualifiers for Chicago Police Department?

If the Chicago Police Department ever hires again(ha) I thinking about testing. I have a Bachelors degree and a Masters Degree, both in criminal justice. However, when I was a teenager (6 years ago), I was at a party that got busted up and everyone ran but i got caught. I was charged with running, underage drinking, and having a fake ID. Eventually the running and possession of a fake were dropped, and i had court supervision for the underage drinking (which was then dropped without charge after completion). Since then everything has been expunged. I was wondering if this will prevent me from getting the job, even though the charges were dropped and everythign has been expunged?

I was also thinking of doing the military. Would a Bachelors, Masters, and military experience be enough for this to overlook everything.

What is a good song for an audition for Roxie Hart from Chicago?

I like Matthew's ideas - but I'd say your number one best bet would be "You Can Always Count on Me" from City of Angels!

American Airlines domestic codes test?

Is it important to memorize the states along with the codes and cities? I read that the states weren't required however, I want to make sure. I'm having a hard time remembering the states but I'm doing great with the city with codes. What was the test like? I'm taking it in miami.

What talent agency does Danielle Campbell belong to?

Actors don't usually go around telling people their private business arrangements. But knowing this won't help you at all. Getting an agent is very difficult, and before even applying you should make sure that you're ready for an agent. They only consider very well-trained and very experienced actors, never beginners.

You would need a resume detailing:
Your contact details and personal information, such as playing age, height, weight or build, hair length and colour.
The name of the drama school you attended, how long the course was, and when you graduated.
The details of extra courses you've attended, such as stage combat, accent and voice training, dance grades, singing grades, mime, mask, etc.
What accents you can do convincingly, what languages you speak.
A list of stage plays you've performed in, in public, and they should include all types of play - Shakespeare, Greek tragedy, comedy, drama, farce, musicals, period drama, etc. naming where they were performed, and the director's name.
A list of short films, student films, naming the directors.
A list of other experience, such as commercials, educational tours, promotional work.

You should also have -
A good selection of professionally made headshots.
A professionally made showreel and voicereel.
Ideally, your own website, with all the above displayed and with links to your membership of professional organisations.
I think that's about it.
Hope that helps.

Shold you retain a child back a grade?

It all depends on why. If the child is stuggling in a subject, he should get proper help. If the child learned nothing, nothing at all, is rude, undisiplined, and mentally disturbed, then maybe it will do him some good. However, I really dont recommend holding him back because it will lower his self-esteem which is critical in the development of a child. He simply needs help, maybe more than what a public school can give him. Look into homeschooling. Homeschooling can be designed to fit the needs and interest of a child, and individualized help is given. If you are the teacher and are inquiring to your student, just help him out 1on1. Thats really all he needs. :)
