Ramadan How Do I Become Muslim

Are there any Muslims who don't fast on Ramadan?

Unfortunately there are many who don't fast. Also there are many misconceptions. Most non muslims think that Islam is so strict that a person has to fast no matter what. There are many conditions under which a muslim is allowed to not keep fast. Few of them include :- 1. If person has disease which can get severe because of fast.2. If person is too old to fast.3. If person is in travel and would find it difficult to fast.4. If a lady is pregnant or has a child which needs breast feeding.5. Also it is not mandatory for a small child. After a certain age only its mandatory. As you can see from above conditions most of the genuine hard conditions are taken off. So Islam does not mean to torture you. It takes care of unreasonable situations. Now, coming to the second part of your question. Muslims eat at least two meals. One early morning(Sehr) before sunrise and one straight after sunset(Iftaar). Sehr is in fact is encouraged and it is explicitly asked by Prophet that people should do Sehr and not avoid it. In most other religions concept of eating early morning is not there. Therefore, it becomes harder to fast.  As far as eating a lot is concerned, the human stomach has some capacity and certainly no one can stuff more then that. Actually, it is not that hard to fast. Once you have fasted for the first few days, the rest becomes easy. In fact even kids as young as in 9th standards keep full fast without any problem. Ramadaan does not mean a muslim should leave all work and just lie like an animal. And certainly it is no torture. The pleasure you get when you put the first morsel of food in your stomach at Iftaar and first sip of water is unparalleled. It will make you realise how important water is, and how important any food which you do not even think of eating normally is. You will start feeling for those who have no food to eat. Saying this is different, but ones you experience it you would understand better. Also it will make you more thankful to God, that he made you lucky enough to enjoy these things without any contribution of yours.

Do secular Muslims fast Ramadan?

The Quran explicitly says in verse 183 of Chapter 2 (Al-Baqarah) that fasting is obligatory on every Muslim in the same way as it was obligatory on those before the advent of Islam:“O you who believe[d]! Is prescribed for you [the] fasting as was prescribed to those from before you, so that you may (become) righteous.” Based on this verse, every Muslim man and woman who is physically healthy and fit must observe fast and comply with God’s with God’s command. If one is negligent and does not fast deliberately, he is considered sinful and he must atone for it. It is technically called “kaffara”. The kaffara is to either feed sixty poor and needy Shia people or fast for sixty days (31 days in a row). If he wants to feed sixty poor Muslims, he cannot feed the same Muslims sixty times. Rather he should give the food to sixty different poor and practicing Shia Muslims.

Has the Ramadan section become more civilized in the past few years?

I remember from 2011-2016 the amount of extremists that roamed on here. Panther Lake was a die hard al queda supporter, abdul malik was a creep who messaged girls, while at the same time preaching orthodox islam. Then there was Ilove islam, who was a self hating woman, then there was ankaboot who repeatedly wrote violent comments towards shias and non muslims. And then there was rosy pearl who hated her own gender.

I haven't seen these people in a while. Have Muslims in this sectiom become civilized?

Ramadan: do you know any muslim convert(s)? if yes, what led them to islam?

I know a lot of muslim converts but I'll tell you 2 stories about 2 muslim converts :)

Story 1:
I met a muslim convert in a laundromat. She was telling me her life as a Jewish. Well, actually, she didn't act like one. She used to drink, party, do drugs, etc. She was very popular in her HS years. She got everything she wanted, but she felt empty inside. She felt something was missing in her life. She decided to do her research about her religion to get closer to God. Still, she felt empty. She did research about other religions. Islam was one of them. She fell in love with it and converted to Islam a couple years ago. I'm so happy for her. What amazed me more is that she told me she converted more than 700 Christians to Islam because she went from church to church to preach about Islam.

Story 2:
I know this Dominican guy who had struggled a lot in his life. Every night he would get drunk or get high with his crew. He fell deeply in depression because he felt life was meaningless. One day, my muslim friend decided to do something to change his life. He taught him about Islam little by little. He gradually became interested in Islam and converted to it. One day during the dinner he declared his embracement to Islam to his family. His mother started crying. She said, "I'd rather you to turn gay than being a muslim!!!!!!!" His father was very unhappy so was his entire family. It hurted him a lot. Right now, they accepted with his decision because they realized how Islam changed him in many ways and how it turned him into a better person. He doesn't fight them as he used to. He respects them even more. He smiles more often.

My muslim friend has converted 3 of his friends to Islam. He definitely has his ticket to heaven! inshallah lol.

Can I fast during Ramadan even if I'm non-Muslim but my fiancé is Muslim?

In the name of God. May the peace and blessings of God be on Prophet Muhammad and on his family and companionsQuran is not a book for Muslims but for the mankind. In many verses Allah, Arabic for God, addresses mankind and invites them to obedience of their Lord and Creator, who is One God, like in the following verse:O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah , through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer. (Quran 4:1)A Muslim is the person who believes that God is One and Muhammad was the last messenger of God. If you believe that you are a Muslim.http://40hadithnawawi.com/index....You are welcome to pray, fast, recite Quran and visit mosques as you like. No one can stop you. Islam is based on the belief that a human being can reach out to God directly. You don't need anybody's approval or permission to do anything that Islam recommended. I have personally known many non Muslims who fast during Ramadan for the entire month. They are very happy about it. I am sure you will enjoy it. If Muslims in your friend circle know avout it, they will be happy you have you join them in breakfast ‘iftaar or futoor. The following video is of a Hindu police officer who fasts during Ramadan.Praise be to God. The Lord of the Worlds.
