Random Files Keep Opening On My Computer

My music files in computer keeps auto adding random album art attached!!!?

I'm using a windows 7 os and my music files tend to keep getting random pictures embedded into them with the details of their publisher etc edited.

For eg. A picture of a fictional song called "Hello" will get an album art of some other random song or singer/band that has the world "Hello" in their name embedded to my song. Additionaly, the details of the file such as publisher will be changed to that random band as well.

How do I know that the album art nor file details were auto added? They were from a WinRAR compressed file. And when I re-extracted the files, they were as good as new. With no album art whatsoever and details completely without random names. Also the album art is from nowhere in my PC.

Question: Is my computer auto adding stuff to my music files as I suspected and how do I stop it if so?

I was clearing random stuff off my computer and I tried to open a program. It says I no longer have the thing I need to open it. How do I fix this?

Thanks for A2A.I was clearing random stuff off my computer and I tried to open a program. It says I no longer have the thing I need to open it. How do I fix this?By categorizing this question as “Open Source” you are indicating that this is not a Windows system.Linux doesn’t use extensions on file names. They are only there for the user’s benefit, but in Windows’ terms, if you’re trying to open a doc file then you need to re-install Office or Word as appropriate. If you are trying to open Word directly, in such a way that it would automatically create a new blank document, and it’s reporting this type of error, then it also needs to be re-installed.If you’re 100% sure that the file an executable (in Linux) then you’ll have to search for the appropriate download to re-install. If it’s a data file, then you’ll have to search for what program uses a particular extension in order to re-install. Windows is notorious for putting “random stuff” in “random places”. Linux is usually better behaved.Take this as a lesson not to delete something unless you know what it is!

Why are random files getting corrupted on my computer?

Thanks for the A2A, but there's not nearly enough information to go on.For starters... how are you getting this notification that random files are getting corrupted?  What version of Windows are you using?  How old is the computer?  How old is the hard drive?  Have you ever done a factory recovery or a fresh install of Windows before on this computer?  Is Windows not booting correctly, but instead forcing Chkdsk on each boot, and presenting messages regarding corrupted or damaged files?  Or, are you getting these popup notifications from a program you really don't recognize or remember installing... and they are telling you that you have corrupt files and need some SuperPC Repair Tekkit for only $39.95?Why *might* files start to somehow get corrupted?  Especially when there's been no change to the system?failing hard driveinfected systemdamaged operating systemimproperly shutting down the machineAs John Navas pointed out, SMART hard drive monitoring utility <-- that software from Passmark will give you easy access in Windows, to your SMART data.  Now, even if you don't understand what the data is all about, if your drive is failing the program will clearly indicate this.If the system is so unstable that you cannot boot reliably to the hard drive anymore, you could also boot to a diagnostic OS like PartedMagic - Partitioning, Cloning, Rescue, and Erasing. , not only for diagnostics, but to read the SMART data, and to clone/copy information from one drive to another.

Files just randomly disappeared off my computer?

So I was cleaning up/organizing my downloads folder... I deleted a file called FSSC.dat that was just randomly sitting there but I looked it up and I think it was just a random file for my old ad-aware program. Then I uninstalled Hitmanpro because I did not want to use it anymore because it costs money. The Hitmanpro installer was in my downloads folder so I went there to delete it after I uninstalled the program and EVERYTHING in there was just gone. All my movies, music, books....just everything. I ran itunes to double check and see if the music had gone somewhere but nope. Itunes couldn't locate any of it. So I'm pretty sure everything just disappeared and I have no idea why either. I'm kind of freaking out because I need all of that stuff. Can someone help? Should I do a system restore point? How do I fix this? Thanks

My computer keeps trying to download random files everytime i click on a link or button on different websites.?

Any insight into why this could be happening?
I have cleared all my browsing data and caches.
Also I ran a full computer scan with microsoft essentials and it found one program in three hours and deleted it but that didn't work.
Could I be in programmers mode or something for google chrome? is there a way to check that?
Any advice helps.

My laptop keeps randomly copying files..?

DJ2050_J510_Basic_x64_231 ia a download for HP Printer Drivers

The drivers either have been installed or havent been, deleting this file will not affect anything at all.

It may be that you're accidentally dragging or pasting a folder or something, or it could be some software updating itself. It does sound a bit strange, but its unlikely to be a virus (what sort of virus would alert you to the fact its doing something?)

Id recommend running Spybot Seek and Destroy occasionally, and removing anything it finds. This is regardless of whether you have mcAfee or not (they is some overlap between virii and malware, but McAfee is unlikely to find everything Spybot finds, and vice versa..

Google Chrome keeps downloading random files?

It will download stuff like "download (7)", "hostcheck(1)", and other stuff. I also tried logging into AOL mail to get my dad something, but it won't let me in. Instead it will download a file named "Login success", or with say "Bad Error 400" How do I stop this?

Why do random commands prompt Windows to keep opening and closing on my PC?

Is it Windows 10..? I have the same issue, but it is not a problem, when a background process starts or ends, it is poped-up, hence it is for starting/ending processes only, that usually runs in background. I don't know if it is a bug in windows, they forgot to hide them by default or intentionally done that, just ignore them.If you aren't using any software that uses background processes, run a scan for viruses, cause they can be many malwares and viruses running on your background, sending your personal data, or damaging your system…
