Road Trip From North West Illinois To Tampa Florida Straight Through

Road trip from chicago to florida avoiding mountains?

It's definitely, DEFINITELY, a great idea to avoid the moutains this time of year. My sister and I just road tripped from southern WI to Miami and had the misfortune of driving through freezing rain from Atlanta through Nashville and Paducah. The snow-covered roads of IL and WI were almost a relief compared to that stress!

That being said I think your best bet is I-65 to I-20 to I-75. We drove straight through to Miami in 23+ hours stopping for gas and food. Hollywood is just north of that so depending on the weather you're probably looking at a similar drive.

BTW, if you want to save on gas you should check out this website: http://www.roadtripjournal.com/ for more road trip tips and the chance to win $200 in gas (this would definitely cover the gas bill on your trip).

Happy trails!

Florida to Illinois road trip! Need advice!?

Do not listen to "man"......he has no experience and a worry wart. Instead of being constructive he is being negative.

1) Get your car inspected by the dealer. Take it in for a oil change and have them do the normal tests they would........but do not tell them you are going on a long trip as they will typically gouge you. You need to make sure that your brakes are good, your engine belts are okay and that you have changed your water pump and timing belt.

2) Make sure you have all emergency kits stuff, extra motor oil, flares, fix-a-flat, chains, car jack and spare tire (make sure it has correct tire pressure).

3) Purchase a AAA plus package.... this will allow you to two your car up to 100 miles to nearest repair shop.

4) Pack tons of food and water (you never know where you might get stranded).

5) You also need to make sure you have some cash on you as well as a credit car for emergencies.

6) Finally, drive safe and take rests at rest stops to let the engine cool for like 15 to 20 minutes every 4 to 5 hours of driving.

7) check fluids when your at these stops......

How long does it take for regular mail to send from Texas to Illinois on an average schedule?

The United States Postal Service (USPS) offers a map for Priority Mail delivery service: "Priority Mail Delivery Map" Let's take Austin, Texas, noted on the map in the darker blue, as our origin. You can see that in the vicinity of Austin, you can count on one-day delivery for priority mail. To most urban and otherwise populated areas around the country, it's two days. To rural areas around the country, it's three days. From Austin to Chicago or the St. Louis area, it could be two days. For a more rural part of Illinois, it could be three.Just click the link above to enter your origin address. Now, this is all for "Priority Mail."Regular first-class mail looks like this: "United States Postal Service: Service Standards Map"To basically anywhere in Illinois from Texas, you're looking at three days.Which then brings up the interesting point of whether it's worth it to pay more for Priority Mail. It should also be noted that these maps aren't guarantees, and they aren't from an omniscient crystal ball. They're estimates. But three days is probably a pretty strong median delivery duration.

What is the best highway driving route Chicago to Seattle?

Really there’s only one the I90, exiting Chicago you have two options either the I94 or I90 but they converge in Montana just east of Billings, in fact you really only have the I90 out of Chicago as the 94, heads up North to Milwaukee then crosses Wisconsin to meet the I90 at MadisonSo you might was well take the I90 out of Chicago and head diagonally across Illinois, the only reason I can think to take the 94 is that in Wisconsin it’s free whereas the 90 through N Illinois is toll booth after tollboothAt Tomah you do get to choose either 90 or 94. I’d say the choice is largely on how much sight seeing you want to do. The 90 will take you to Sioux Falls, The Corn Palace and of course the Badlands, Mount Rushmore, The Crazy Horse Monument and the Big Horn Mountains are very picturesque and Rapid City is well worth a visitDo not bother stopping at Walldrug no matter how many signs you see :)The 94 doesn’t really have anything, once you pass through Fargo there’s practically nothing though there is a big giant cow alongside the road in New SalemWhich is well worth stopping just to see it which obviously I didBoth roads are pretty quiet once you get out of Minnesota so they’re pretty much alike so just to grind out the miles I’s take the I94, if you want to see something (apart from a big cow) then the I90

How long does it take First-Class Mail to arrive?

I can’t really add anything to the actual process of mailing a letter that the other excellent answers haven’t already covered. But, I will give you a couple of hacks to get your mail to the location faster. This only works if you live near a very large processing facility.I lived in Oviedo, FL but the nearest large processing facility is in Orlando, FL by the airport. If you mail it AT THAT FACILITY, they will sort it and send it out the same day if you meet the cut-off times on the mail box. This will save you the time it would take locally to sort and process it and save 1–2 days in the process.I now live in Nothern Viriginia near Washington DC. There are 2 large facilities near me. Merrifield, VA and Dulles, VA (think airport as in IAD).If I mailed anything at Merrifield, it takes 2–3 days to get to any destination on the East Coast that I have sent things to. If I mail it at the Dulles facility, it cuts that down by 1 day. If I go local, it goes through 2–3 transfers which can add an extra day or two to the process. But, for less than fifty cents, who else is going to take your first class letter ANYWHERE?

Driving on the freeway at 70 miles per hour how long will it take you to travel 70 miles?

Read the problem aloud to yourself, with emphasis on the units. How long to go 70 miles at 70 miles per hour? 70 miles per hour means that each hour, the car will travel 70 miles. It should come as no shock, then, that it will take 1 hour to go 70 miles. Read that a few times until it really sinks in. If you're studying algebra or physics:Speed is a rate. Start with the definition of rate:(rate) = (distance) / (time)r = d/tSolve for time.t = d/rSubstitute.t = (70 miles) / (70 miles/hour)= (70/70) (miles/(miles/hour))= 1 hourNotice how the units cancel to give hours. Arguably, rates are one of the most useful concepts you'll ever learn. They're everywhere. The speed of your car, the price per gallon of gas, your hourly wage, the time until you can retire -- these are all rate problems. If you don't learn this concept well, people will systematically take advantage of you for the rest of your life. This is one topic where it pays to pay attention. Good luck.
