Rough And Dry Hair Men

Really Rough Dry Hair (Men)?

It's always best to ask professionals for advice instead of people that do not have the right information, although I have met many stylists that don't do their homework.

Dandruff shampoos use chemicals that are derivatives for different types of poisons but they are approved by the FDA. They do help in the process of eliminating some dandruff but they add to the dryness of your scalp and hair, which forces you to use their product even more. This is what marketing is all about.

Conditioners do nothing but just lie on the cuticle layer of the hair shaft. They cannot penetrate into the cortex layer but only leave a surface slip to the hair. Conditioners only stay on the hair for 2 to 3 hours until they either dissipate in dry climates or dilute in humid climates.

The key here is to maintain the moisture level in the hair shaft. The only way that this can be accomplished is by using a non-water-soluble product for hair that locks in the essential moisture and blocks out excess moisture It doesn't matter what type of shampoo or conditioner that you use they all basically work the same.

If your hair gets poofy it's due to a bit of curl that you may have in your hair in combination with the dryness that you're getting from the dandruff shampoo. Instead, use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner in combination with a product named Lok and Blok. This product will definitely keep your scalp and hair from drying out and getting poofy and lasts from shampoo to shampoo. Go to www.gotfrizz.com. Read the information on the website and you will learn so much about what hair and hair products can and can't do.

Why is my hair so dry and rough ?

Yea so imma guy. Yeah I know, I shouldn't care about my hair, but honestly it feels disgusting. I want girls to be like damn instead of your hairs gross. My hair is short, extremely dry, frizzy, its not defined at all, it just looks like a big mass, itsThick and has 0% of moisture. But it's not African American hair. It drys as soon as I get out of the shower or pool. I used ligit everything. Olive oil, egg whites, that wen stuff, natural shampoos and conditioners but nothing. It makes my hair soft for like an hour than back to grossness. I usually shave my head but my girlfriend thinks if look really good with longer hair, and I think I'd look pretty good too. Can anyone give me a hand? Thanks

I have very dry, rough hair. What do i do?

Don't use your straightener or any styling products with heat( curler, blow dryer etc..) for a while. And next time you do make sure you use heat protector spray every time.
It isn't necessary to wash your hair everyday because that dries it out worse.
Also wash your hair in cold water.

Try this line from Tresemme these products are made for thermal creations...(which means heat!)
They have a shampoo and conditioner , heat protecting spray, straightening gel, curl spray and even volume spray.

I've only straightened once and that was very little and in the back . I don't know what to do and I'm kinda freaking out . It's too early to get a new one and I don't want my whole head to turn out like the ends . Can someone please helpp.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN!!! rough-drying your hair?

It means without doing it meticulously with clips and doing each little bit.
Normally, you flip your hair upside down and shake the hairdryer all about till hair is dry-damp. :]

What is the best thing I can do for my rough dry hair?

you have several options.... let's start with your shampoo .... know that a good lather although it is nice doesn't mean your shampoo isn't working, if it's removing the oil and dirt off your scalp and hair follicles then it's working....one of the best shampoos came out years ago had very minimal lather but it was the best product available unfortunately bcus ppl associate a rich lather with good cleaning it didn't sell as much as it should of.... but if the results are extremely tangled, and dry hair then that particular brand is not good for your hair. 1. regardless of your hair type (aside from extremely oily hair) i is not necessary to shampoo daily. 2. you could be using a shampoo that's very harsh on your hair and is only adding to the dryness by stripping your hair of moisture. so my suggesstion is to consult a stylist one who can physically examine your hair and shampoo and tell you whether or not the ph leel is damaging. now your conditioner. many products are labeled incorrectly as conditioners but are really only cream rinses that just detangle the hair not penerate the other layer of your hair and enter into the middle or if your hair fine you can be completely lacking the cortex. so examine yoru conditioner to see that it does have the penetrating effect. a salon provided deep coonditioning treatment maybe very beneficial to your hair. They have hair repair packs that bost your hair with protein and moisture which work wonders or you can get a pure protein concetrate treatment which is also magic for your hair. Make sure to follow a routine of these deep conditioning treatments for a few weeks and you should see less dry hair. avoid using a lot of heat in your hair, avoid dramatic coloring, using a lot of products that cause residue in oyur hair will only dry it out more. hope i helped

I'm 20 years old and my hair is very dry and rough. What can I do to make it soft and shiny?

Hey. I'm also of ur age and suffered the same problem. I'll give u some tips that I received which worked great on my hair.1. Use hair serum on wet hair after hair wash. I use streaks serum which works great.2. Always apply a good amount of oil on hair 15 minutes before applying shampoo. This will make ur hair moisturiser even after shampoo.3. If planning to apply hair mask, mash a banana, mix it with honey and apply thoroughly on hair. Keep it for half am hour. Wash it off with cold water.4. Always use normal temperature or cold water to wash hair. Warm or hot water will strip the natural oils on hair and will make it dry.5. Always follow shampoo with a good amount of conditioner. While applying shampoo, concentrate on scalp and while applying conditioner, concentrate on tips.6. Once a week give ur hair a rinse with rice water. i.e. The water of cooked rice that is strained out. Keep the water overnight before application for maximum benefit. This will moisturize ur hair and give it a great shine.Hope this helped u.
